Does my OS X qualify for free upgrade?

Log into your iTunes account. Look at your purchases.. Store/View My Account. If you paid for Lion it will be in the first section. Click on "Report A Problem".  Explain that you want a refund. They answer within 24 hours, and you get your refund 3-4 days later.  I was unable to install it on my 7-month old Mac. No questions asked they gave me the refund and were pleasant about it. You must do this through iTunes, not the App Store.

  • How I can for free upgrade os x 10.5.8 to 10.6?

how I can for free upgrade os x 10.5.8 to 10.6?

    You can't upgrade for free.
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

  • How do I qualify for an upgrade to Acrobat XI MAC from Acrobat 7.0 Windows

I have Acrobat 7.0 Professional - Windows - and want to upgrade to Acrobat XI Pro for my MacBook Pro. CanI qualify for the upgrade pricing or do I have to pay the full amount?

    Hi kevinc26850405,
I can understand your concern & will guide you in the right direction.
As you have a registered copy of Acrobat 9 for windows so even if you have the setup file for Mac the serial key won't work as it is platform (operation system) specific.
I would suggest you to get the latest Acrobat version i.e Acrobat DC and you will be able to use it on any of your computer as it requires a subscription to serialize it not a serial key.
Download link for 30 days trail version of Acrobat DC Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC & you can serialize it using your Adobe ID.
In case if you experience any issue or have any query please let us know. We will be happy to help you.
    Regards,
    Aadesh

I currently own Adobe Proefessional 8.1.3 and want to purchase or upgrade to the latest version.  Will my version qualify for an "upgrade" or must I purchase the software?

The minimum version eligible for an upgrade is Acro 9. You will have to buy a completely fresh license.

Free Android apps are generally stuffed full of adverts that drain 75% of the phone battery. See:

  • Does photoshop come pre-installed for free?

does it come pre-installed for free on the iMacs? Because i want to get one and i am wondering if it is on there for free?

Photoshop is not a free or OEM product on any system, any platform that I know of.
As the previous post says, you can download a trial version, but the full product, depending on level, on any platform (Windows or Mac) costs about $650, or $1000 for the extended version....

  • Bought mountain lion before i realized i qualified for an upgrade?

I bought my Macbook Pro on August 4th of this year. I realized a few days ago there was another upgrade (mountain lion). Today i downloaded it off the app store, but shortly after i realized i qualified for a free upgrade since i bought it after july 26. However, the app did not fully download and i believe it is because my credit card hadnt been verified yet on this computer. There is a 19.99 charge on my bank statement however it is a "processing" charge. Will apple reimburse me and just send me the free one?

You'd have to contact them through the link on the App Store. I've heard they've credited people before, but that free upgrade was only valid for something like 30 days after purchase or after release, whichever is later.

  • Bought new Mac on 3rd June - could i speak to Apple and ask for free upgrade - this is my first Mac!

I have never been a Mac owner before now… I considered carefully about whether to buy a Mac or PC and in the end chose my new iMac with i5 Core Processor. I had been a PC user prior to this. I also got 3 years Apple Care. The thing is, if I had been aware that Snow Leopard was going to be available to those buying from 6th June for free, I would probably have delayed buying until then. I am wondering if Apple would be likely to show good faith and give the Snow Leopard for free seeing as I had seriously considered the choice of a Mac and am so close to the date of inclusion. I am sure it would be good PR for Apple to say yes. What do people suggest I do?

    Lion Up-To-Date upgrade
"The Mac OS X Lion Up-To-Date upgrade is available at no additional charge via the Mac App Store to all customers who purchased a qualifying new Mac system from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller on or after June 6, 2011. Users must request their Up-To-Date upgrade within 30 days of purchase of their Mac computer. Customers who purchase a qualifying Mac between June 6, 2011 and the date when Lion is available in the Mac App Store will have 30 days from Lion’s official release date to make a request." • Is there any way to purchase upgrade when PC is NOT eligible for free upgrade

    Hi...
I bought my pavilion dv5 1 month to soon to get the free upgrade... Now i'm wondering if HP gives the same upgrade option to people who want to upgrade and will pay for it... I know I can buy Windows 7 on a DVD, but there's no drivers on it, and I was told by HP support that the drivers from the HP download site might not work properly on a standalone Windows 7
So is there any way to get upgrade by paying for it... Maybe HP has some buyable upgrade kit?
    Sincerely
    DCNR

When HP has Windows 7 drivers available, they will certainly work with a conventional Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade version.
