Does my PC have an asio driver
I have a HP Pavilion p7-1597c which I'm using as music server. I have just installed JRiver server software and am attempting to determine if my PC has asio audio capability. My operating system is Windows 8. Thank you in advance for any help.

Your PC has integrated IDT 92HD73E audio (Beats). Beats audio does not support ASIO.

Does the macbook have a cd drive?
I wanted to load some software on my daughter's new macbook while she is away and can't find a cd drive. i don't have it with me right now so don't know the model number or operating system, but do know that it cost $999 a few months ago. Thx.
MacBooks have media drives, yes. (MacBook Airs are the only models that don't.) It is located on the right side (facing the display). It's just a slot.

Until otherwise stated in http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html or the http://support.apple.com/manuals/# None of that has changed. The good news is with Thunderbolt, you get fiberoptic performance out of external hard drives. Furthermore, you can build to order your iMac with specific internal hard drives from the online store. And http://www.macsales.com/ has always offered internal hard drive upgrade kits for those who are adventurous to do out of warranty installations on their own. And some Apple Authorized Service providers will upgrade the hard drive internally for you within warranty. Call around to find out if yours is one that will. Always keep the original drive in event the replacement drive fails, and Apple wants to eliminate hardware issues that were not caused by their devices.

Why does my computer have 2 hard drives listed in the storage section? I am running low on storing and it looks like the other hard drive is not even being used (Mac HD2). How can I combine them or use some of the storage on the Mac HD 2?

MacBook Air does not have an optical drive. There is a program I wish to install on my Air which is an astronomy application called Megastar V. Installation requires the use of a CD. Is there a way to use the optical drive on my PC (toshiba laptop using Windows 7) to install this program onto my Air?

Is it possible to have two USB drives for the IPad? I want to bring RAW files from my camera through the IPad and out to an external hard drive. One of my cameras has an SD card but the other one doesn't have a card that would fit in any of the camera devices I've seen on line. Realted to this, I bought the IPad camera accessory. Can I put the SD card in the device and also hook the external hard drive to the USB port of the accessory and download from the camera to the hard drive? Can I put Lightroom or the Nikon photo editing software on the IPad? Right now I carry a PC laptop and external hard drives with me on wildernes trips. Internet and WiFi are not available. Because I shoot so many photos and they're in RAW I need to download from the camera to the external drive because I run out of memory on the PC (and it has much more memory than the IPad). I have Nikon NX software and lightroom on my PC. I'd love to be able to reduce the weight I carry by using the IPad to edit my photos each night while on trips. Is this possible and how would I do it? I'd appreciate any guidance.
No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom. -

Note - that no internet backup service has been proven to be safe and effective for backing up the iPhoto library - unless you personally have backup uyp an iPhoto library and restored it sucussfuly form one it should not be recommended - a large number of people have lost their photos trying it

I have photoshop CS5 and just got new iMac that does not have the DVD drive. I would like to avoid having to purchase the external DVD drive. Does Adobe offer options that I can still download CS5 that I have purchased on my new machine?

Very easy. Tell me what version Photoshop you have and I'll direct you to the proper downloadable installer file.
Have your serial number ready. You can activate on 2 computers, so don't deactivate the old one until you are updated and sure it works on the new one.
As a side note: You never copy or transfer Photoshop to a new computer, you have to install.

I just purchased a camera packaged with Adobe photoshop Elements 11. I have a mac book air- which does not have a cd drive. The package did not come with a code or anything that would provide me with another way to install photoshop that came with my camera. Is there any other way i can install this on my camera without using the provided cd or buying the software again?
That doesn't help the user with the serial code though.
