I'm talking about the one that is the newest. I'm not sure the number (someone plz tell me)but i think one of the fixes is to the volume control, or at least it makes it look different. Does it work with MediaSource? I want to know b/c I cant figure out how to get WMP0 to sync my songs with all the tag info. If you know how to do that plz tell step by step. Thanks

Why does new Skype work with one user, and not another?

Running 19.4.5, I installed the latest version of Skype. (I do not activate it on login) This opens, but crshes/unexspectedly quits on "sign in". I tried the same with a "new user", and the app opened fine. I compared the two users to make sure that Skype was correctly featured in my usual user. No difference. Still crashes.
Does anyone have an idea what could be conflicting with Skype?

Right, problem solved! . Am posting this as it may help in future. I use a useful little app called Window Dragon,(a haxie) which helps resize windows with the mouse. This was causing the conflict, but had not with earlier versions of Skype. All I had to do was exclude Window Dragon from working with the new updated version of Skype and everything back to normal.
Solutions to apps that "quit unexpectedly" or crash often mention that haxies can often come into conflict with apps. So best to start with any haxies one has installed, disable, test etc..

How does new Comparator() work?

I have this code segment in my program. It works fine, but I don't know how exactly it works.

I know that Comparator() has two methods, compare() and equals(). But in the code segment above, I only implemented one, compare(), in the new Comparator() body. Don't I have to implement both of the two methods?
To test it, I wrote the following test program.

The compare method is for comparing two objects of a particular type--two Employees, two Orders, whatever. That's the Comparator's reason to live.
The equals method is just like it is on any other object---it's to compare this Comparator to another Comparator. I believe the docs say that it's always safe to leave it as the default Object implementation which is true only if the two references point to the same Comparator object.
If you do decide to override it, it's so that you can determine that two Comparators will return the same results. I suppose you might want to do this if you know that two different implementations will return the same results (maybe the implement the same rules, but one is optimized for certain kinds of data and the other for other kinds) and you want to avoid repeating a sort that's already been done. For what it's worth, I've never needed to override equals on a Comparator.

What is the bottom line-does new firmware allow us to use TM with Airdisk?

Just as the topic reads - does the newly released firmware allow us to use an external HD connected to Airport Extreme for Time Machine?
All of the Mac sites seem to report that it does - does it?

It certainly seems to be supported using an AirDisk connected to my 1TB TC. I do have an AEBS but haven't tried it on that yet.

5800 - Does new firmware fix auto-rotate problems ...

Ever since V 50.0.005 I've had problems with auto-rotate stopping working after a while (memory leak anyone ?) with a reboot being required to fix it. DAK if this is fixed in V 51.0.006 because if it is I'll go through the hassle of changing my product code to get it early as it's driving me nutzzzzz.

The real issue lies somewhere else.. atleast thats what I think because I did not face such problem on my Nokia 5800 xm with v 50.0.005. It was happenning just occassionaly and not so frequently or permanently as some posts suggest.
Auto rotate should work perfectly when the phone is held vertically.i.e. the top and bottom edges at same distance from the body.. Normaly when the phone is held in palm the bottom edge is nearer than the top edge as it is slanting. The feature will not work 100% in this condition...

Does new shuffle work with WMA??

My computer runs Windows XP and I have a Dell DJ that holds about 5000 songs. It hasn't been that reliable and is a bit bulky so I'm thinking about getting the clip on shuffle. Can I put songs in my current catalog which are in WMA files on the iPod shuffle? Or would I have to purchase the songs over again thru iTunes? I currently have music purchased through musicmatch, Windows Media Player and less than 5 thru iTunes. Thanks for any help!

WMA files will not play on the iPod or in iTunes.
You wouldn't necessarilly have to re-purchase all of the tracks if you could find an efficient way to convert them to an iPod usable format.
I don't know of any easy way to do that, other than burning those tracks to an Audio CD and importing them into iTunes.
You've got a lot of work ahead of you if you want to get those 5000 tracks onto an iPod.

Help! E75 new firmware doesn't work!!

I upgraded to 201.12.01 firmaware.
Now I can't make any calls ("call forbidden") and I don't receive any calls.
Also the phone's menu is very buggy: when I choose smth in the menu I get in the wrong page!
I made a hard reset. The phone worked well for 2 hours. But when I finished installing all the software - it broke again the same way ((
What's wrong?? Is there any chance to cancel that new "improving" firmaware?
How can I get that phone work well??
PS. It was the last time I bought Nokia phone. I think Nokia can produce only "simple" phone models, but not a smartphone..

yep i gave the same advice to my friends: do not upgrade the phone. at least until the bugs are fixed.
We were promised by a new firmware update coming today, my main problem is with my GPS, it keeps hitting me with no connection,like the phone is totally separated from its GPS receiver, it worked just fine before with the v110 firmware, and Nokia totally removed the satellite status which i found really useful!!!

WRT610N New Firmware Upgrade and USB Hard disk not working

Hi, I've just upgraded the new firmware, everything seems fine but now my USB Hard disk is not recognizable unless i restart the router. I have a Seagate FreeAgent 500Gigs, and it worked perfectly with the previous firmware. Just wondering if its just me or anyone else has the same problem.

The same thing is happening to me... After the HDD goes to sleep, when you goto access it again you can hear it spin up but you still can't access it at all.

My new iphone 5c does not have an "alarm" on the clock function. My iphone 4 does and it works perfectly. What's that all about?

I have this card and I wondered, if there might be an updated firmware for it. Since mine seems to have the one that came with it stock.
I contacted MacAlly, no answer. Let vendor contact Macally, no response to hinm either. I wanted a newer firmware, because I found very few Drives to be compatible with it and thought it needs an update maybe. That was some time ago...
Lately, my G4 kernel paniced and it seemed to be the Macally card. after having it pulled wcerything works again. I now have it in again and it is ok. In the panic log there was a driver shown for the MacAlly card projovian.driver.
This is all info I have about the card:

Does New BI 7.0 Authorization Concept work on 3.x Queries?

Hello Experts,
I have requirement to restrict the query based on Division.
So I have created the Authorization object based on Division from RSECADMIN TRansaction. and then created a Role from PFCG TRansaction. I have have used this Auth. Object from S_RS_AUTH.
but when i tested the role The query diaplaying all the division records rather than restricted division.
My question is does New BI 7 Auth. Concept work on 3.x Queries or does 3.x Auth. Concept work in BI 7.0?
Could you Please let me Know your Thoughts?
