  • Does the New iPad support SIRI as iPhone 4s?

Does the New iPad support SIRI as iPhone 4s?
I saw mic icon on left side of space is look like siri feature but i don't know how to setting.
    anyone can help for this?

That would not be Siri, that would be dictation. When you want to say something rather than type it, tap that button and say want you want. All of your words will be changed into text. It's very similar to dragon dictation. Siri currently is just an iPhone 4s thing.

  • Will The New iPad Support Java?

Will the new iPad support Java?

The support would come from the new Operating System rather than the hardware itself, so the question really is does iOS 4.3 support it ... and the answer is no, I'm afraid. None of the add-ins (Java, Flash, Silverlight) can be added.

  • Does the iPad support flash player yet?

Does the iPad support flash player yet?

As has been said here many times now, Adobe has ceased development on all versions of their mobile Flash player, and since the chances are vanishingly small that Apple will ever develop their own, iOS devices will probably never natively support Flash content or apps. If Flash capability is criticial to your needs, you'll probably want to choose another device, though even Android and Windows phone and tablet devices are less and less capable of Flash support.

Sorry but that was a completely pointless post.

  • Does the new ipad support MYOB

My business has recently purchased some 'new" ipads and we have been wondering if they can support MYOB. I have been given both yes and no answers and I was hoping for a definite answer.

If you're referring to the accounting software:

  • Does new iPad come equipped with an SD card?

Does the new iPad come w/ SD card?

No, it has neither an SD card nor an SD card slot.
You can buy your own SD card, then buy the Camera Connection Kit to load photos from the SD Card.

  • Does my iPad support Microsoft silverlight

Does my ipad2 support microsoft silverlight

Do a search in the App store and there are apps for Silverlight available.  I only looked at one and it costs $7.99.  It doesn't look like it was optimized for iPad, but that usually means not for the screen.  In theory, it should work fine on your iPad, it just might not fill the full screen.

  • Does new IPad screen benefits writing too ?

Given the most paraded "retina display" with vastly increased pixels - does it lead to the possibility of better handwriting / drawing apps ? Those that exist now dont replace paper - despite their claims - however with the ability for the new IPad to literally have the dynamics of a pen and paper then this could be the killer-app at least ive been waiting for to take the IPad away from just "consumption device" to something actually useful (and if MS were to sort out its OneNote app to work along side this improvement then we're laughing - although this is probably the reason Apple havent pushed on the invention they introduced so many years ago with Newton!)

Thanks for the post - and I look forward to hearing from your experience in a few hours with the new iPad - lucky you !!
I use a Stylus frequently but handwriting apps are simply too clunky. The requirement for a finer stylus is a product designers dreak - as surely relatively simple task with such a potentially massive audience.....as the ability to make the iPad truly replace the "note pad" opens up the possibility of JUST having an iPad for business / studies!

  • What content does my iPad support?

What content does my I-Pad support so I can watch videos? Because it will not let me download Adobe Flash Player.

iOS does not support Flash so you don't need to worry about trying to download it.  This is why you can't view flash media or play games coded in flash.
You can watch YouTube videos (there are some that will not play because they are not in the proper format for iOS.
There is an MP4 format that iOS uses so you can rip DVD's you own to this version of MPEG video.  It usually takes a couple of steps then you import the final MP4 file into iTunes and sync it to your iPad.
iDevices support MP3 music as well as the ACC music format.
And I believe the format of choice for photo's is JPEG.

  • Does the iPad support Function keys natively, not through another program?

I have my Operations department which needs to access a couple of customer databases through the web using a java applet. I do not want them to have to come to the office so we got them a netbook, but I was hoping that the iPad would be a better solution and quicker as well.
But it needs Function keys, anyone know?
    Regards,
    D.Lehman

The iPad does not support Java, so the issue of functions keys would be moot. The only way to run Java would be to use the iPad to take control of a computer, and whether function keys in that scenario would work would depend on the remote-control solution used.
    Regards.

  • Does the ipad support adobe digital editions?

I would like to publish my book as a digital edition for iPad. However, the book is a PDF which comes out beautifully on Adobe Digital Editions, and I can not find any information about whether ADE is compatible with the iPad or iPhone. This leads me to believe it isn't. Kindle does not support PDF, either. Can't ADE just be downloaded to iPad or iPhone and then just used to when a book is purchased in a PDF?
Any info. will be greatly appreciate.

No, there isn't anything on the ipad that can display these files and I'm not aware that adobe has given any indication that there will be. There are many other pdf readers, but they can't open ADE files.

  • Does new iPad software prevent syncing with Kindle Reader?

Just took an hour to update iPad software. I'm at the end of a Europe journey of three months, and bought a book on Amazon to read on the plane back home. It's in my Kindle Reader for Mac now but when I sync (from iTunes), it will not bring over the new book into the version of Kindle Reader on the iPad. Didn't have the problem before I updated software.
Anyone know why or what can be done? My proprietary paranoia suggests Apple has now disallowed books originating from Amazon to come on to the iPad, but I can't believe they'ed be that stupid.
    Thanks,
    Karen

Kindle on the iPad does not sync with Kindle on your Mac. It syncs with your Amazon account. If you have a U.S. account, it's possible that Amazon prevents sycning if you're out of the country. You'd really need to contact Amazon to see what's going on.
I use Kindle and Amazon almost exclusively for my ebooks and it works just fine.
    Best of luck.
