Does option 43 matter ? WLC5508 ver 7.2 using internal DHCP server

I am using a WLC 5508 and its internal DHCP server. I cant find anywhere I can setup option 43. However, the access points are connected in just fine. Do I need to worry about setting up a seperate DHCP server to get option 43 setup properly ?
Thank you.

Sorry I didnt make my question clear.
I am using a WLC 5508 and its internal DHCP server. I cant find anywhere I can setup option 43.
When I connect a CAPWAPP Access Point to the network, it receives IP address from the WLC 5508 DHCP service just fine. It shows up in the access points list and users can connect to it no problem.
Do I need to worry about setting up a seperate DHCP server to get option 43 setup properly ?

  • DHCP Server does not work after Exporting and Importing Using Netsh Command

    Hello Friends :
    I had two dhcp servers in windows server 2003 server , I have upgraded one of them to windows server 2008 32 bit and again i installed a windows server 2008 R2 as an additional Domain Controller , the last scenario was like this :
    srv-1 : windows server 2003 + DHCP = working with no problem
    srv-2 : windows server 2003 + DC + DHCP = Worked without problem
    srv-3 : windows server 2008 R2 + DC = worked without any problems
    I exported the DHCP server configuration on the srv-2 using netsh dhcp server export and Imported them to srv-3 using the
    netsh dhcp server import command , the command completed successfully and i can see all of the scopes without any problems and errors , i have authorized the new server without any problem , all scopes are activated without any problem so i
    disabled the srv-2 DHCP service and unauthorized it from active directory , the problem is that the new server semms that does not lease any address to clients !!!
    1- I have authorized it
    2- I used Rogue Checker tool in client computers they see authorized server without any problems
    3- The same tool in workgroup only shows srv-1 as the DHCP server and does not see other DHCP servers
    4- Bindings are OK and DHCP servers only have one NIC installed on them
    What can i do to make sure my srv-3 DHCP server will work on the network ?
    thanks ...
    MIMO

    Are the clients on another network so you need to configure a DHCP relay agent?
    If you load up perfmon on the dhcp server and remove all counters and then add DHCP counters. Do you see any dhcprequests when you reboot your dhcp clients? This will determine if your server actually receives any dhcp requests.
    Have you check event viewer for any warnings or errors?
    And the classic one restarted the dhcp server service (or reboot)?

  • Microsoft DHCP Server - Option 43 Setup

    I have the scope configured properly as far as the 241 Option with Option 43 and the VCI in it for both the 1130 and 1200 series AP's. However, how do you make this work if your subnet has both 1200 and 1130's in it? Basically if I have two 241 options set, the 1130 comes in first allowing hte 1130's to associate, but not the 1200's. If I remove the 1130 Option 241, the 1200's associate. Basically, how do I get both to work from the scope correctly?
    Thanks,
    Raun

    Hi Raun,
    Here is some additional info;
    This section contains a DHCP Option 43 configuration example on a Windows 2003 Enterprise DHCP server for use with lightweight access points. For other DHCP server implementations, consult the DHCP server documentation for configuring DHCP Option 43. In Option 43, you should use the IP address of the controller management interface.
    ****Note DHCP Option 43 is limited to one access point type per DHCP pool. You must configure a separate DHCP pool for each access point type.****
    From this doc;

  • Is there a photobook ordering option in iPhoto '11 vers. 9.1.5 (615)?

    A friend of mine made a photobook with her Mac. I'd like to do the same. The instructions I've found on the web don't match the menu items in my iMac (vers. 10.7.3). Anybody know what I should do?
    Matthew

    Your question makes not sense
    Is it
    Is there a photobook ordering option in iPhoto '11 vers. 9.1.5 (615)?
    Then the answer is yes
    AS to what your friend did - with no information no one can tell you if you can do the same
    and as to ordering with a different version (since 9.1.5 does not run under OS X 10.7.3 which you say you have) then no one can answer unless you tell us wha tyou actually have
    And not that there are 5 or 6 versions of Iphoto that run under OS X 10.7.3 so once again for an answer you actually have to provide information
    So the answer to your headline question is yes and to your continued rambleing is who knows - not enough information to answer

  • Our family has multiple apple ids and we are setting up a new apple tv. Does it matter which apple id we use if we have home sharing enabled?

    I have an apple id from my mobile me account; I also have the apple id from my itunes account (with which I purchase content for my powerbook); and my husband has an apple id for itunes which he purchases content for his itunes library on his PC.
    Does it matter which apple id we use to set up our new apple tv?
    what issues are caused by my multiple apple ids?

    You cannot merge apple ids, but you can sign out of the apple id and sign in under the other one either on your phone or your mac. On your phone, go to settings, itunes and appstore, tap your apple id, tap sign out, then go back to home screen, then back into itunes an appstore and sign in with the apple id you want to use.

    ipad2 plus ipad air all of a sudden instantly goes back to home screen.doesnt matter what app i am using just when it decides to do it it does.apple tech has no answer or fix for me does anybody have any idea what is wrong

    First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
    Could also be not enough free space for the iPad to operate efficiently. With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free.  For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.
    If neither of these suggestions helps, Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

  • Capture Sharpening & Lens Corrections- Does the order matter?

    Okay, I think I understand the concept that all of the changes made in Lightroom are metadata edits, and so it does not matter what order you make changes to your image. So using the lightroom controls for sharpening and lens corrections (chromatic aberration, etc.) is just fine.
    But what if you are doing your capture sharpening outside of lightroom, say using photokit sharpener in photoshop?
    Does the use of the lens correction tools in lightroom negatively affect the capture sharpening done later in photoshop? Ideally I'd like to do all of the possible image adjustments in lightroom, without doing any sharpening, and then head over to photoshop for capture sharpening and any further photoshopping that is necessary.
    But if I do lens correction changes in lightroom, will that cause a problem? Do I need to forego doing any lens correcting in lightroom if I am going to be doing capture sharpening in photoshop after the fact?
    Thanks for the help.

    I shoot in Raw. I only recently got Photokit Sharpener, so I am trying to work that in to my workflow, in which case I would turn off Lightroom's default sharpening.
    I think I may be worried about something that isn't really a problem, but I had heard that when you adjust for chromatic aberrations, it adjusts the color channels, for example moving the red channel in relation to the blue channel, in order to eliminate the color fringing. If that is the case, then I was wondering whether sharpening applied outside of Lightroom would have to be applied after the chromatic aberration adjustments had been made or if it could be applied before without causing problems.
    My current plan is to just apply the capture sharpening in Photoshop after all LR adjustments have been made, and hopefully that will work out fine.

    There are only two types of HDMI cables (standard and high speed - listen to all 1.2, 1.3 etc etc nonsense they will try to tell in the store) both types will work with the Apple TV.
    The cable may be faulty though, have you got another to try, what exactly is happening.

  • Does it actualy matter what you have on your remote server for services-config.xml

    Hi there, does it actualy matter what you have on your remote server for services-config.xml ?
    Does the information not just get baked into the flex 3 app at compile time on my local computer?

    I don't think this is right!
    If you don't have any config file, you can set up a remote object. The config file handles the default settings.
    If you implement something like
        <mx:RemoteObject id="myService"
            destination="amf"
            source="remoteServiceName"
            endpoint="http://myDomain/amfphp/gateway.php"
            fault="handleFault(event)">
            <mx:method name="test" result="handleResult(event)"/>
        </mx:RemoteObject>
    it will work!

    Not sure if it uses data, but that allows you to multitask.  To save battery life you should close out of all the apps.

  • Is the iPod Touch the Apple Genius Bar workers given me a UK iPod Touch or does it not matter?

    My family purchased an iPod Touch 4 from the USA from Best Buy and we came back to the UK and a week later we took it to Apple to check the battery fault and they gave us another iPod Touch which I think is a refurbished one. Anyways my question is that is the refurbished iPod Touch a UK iPod or a USA or does it not matter. Also is it safe to charge it through the wall with the iPhone USB apart or or would I need to plug it in the computer? Thanks and if it is confusing break down the question and answer it step by step because I asked a few there. Thanks.

    Since there is no reason for a UK store to have Amercian market iPods, I think it's likely that you now have an iPod as sold in the UK, that is, an EU (European Union) iPod. (I may be wrong, but that's my guess.)
    iPods sold within the EU have a Volume Limit on them that is not on non-EU iPods. EU iPods therefore have a slightly lower maximum volume than other markets. You could compensate for this by using a headphones amplifier if you prefer, but be careful not to damage your hearing by having it too loud!
    iPods charge using 5 volts (from the USB outlet). So in the USA, the 110volts power outlet is changed to 5 volts from the USB outlet. In the UK, the 220 volts mains voltage is changed to 5 volts from the USB - the same 5 volts out. So yes, you can use a USB output from a wall-outlet charger.

  • Does DVI Cable quality make a noticeable difference or does it not matter?

    Does DVI Cable quality make a noticeable difference or does it not matter?
    When you buy a monitor at a place like TigerDirect, they come with a thinner cable, but you purchase one for $21. Is it worth it?

    Check out http://www.monoprice.com they have great cables for cheap.
    To answer your question the cables are usually rated for the amount of bandwidth they can transfer and at what speed. At lower resolutions you don't need much bandwidth but to transfer 1080p you would need a cable capable of handling that. Most cables can handle that.
    But with the thinner cables it can affect the quality of the image. Just be sure to calibrate your monitor. Good luck!
