    The role for a coherence node is normally determined by the application. The tangosol.coherence.role system property is used to configure this value. Some out-of-the-box Coherence applications. CacheFactory (com.tangosol.net.CacheFactory) sets this value to CoherenceConsole. DefaultCacheServer sets this value to CoherenceServer. MBeanConnector sets the value to TangosolNetMBeanConnector.   • Does my Macbook have Keylights like the Macbook Pro does?

    I was watching the Macbook Air guided tour, just to see if buying my Macbook was a waste of money if Apple released a better Macbook, but i still don't understand which is better (processing wise) because there is no really websites on it at the moment.
    Any way if you can answer that then go ahead, but back on topic. I was watching the guided tour and i noticed the Apple guy (sorry, i forget his name) explained that just like the Macbook (I don't know if he said "Pro" or just a Macbook in general) the Air has a light sensor in it that can detect decreases in light (or increases in darkness, whichever works for you) and respond accordingly by turning on lights under the keys so that you can see them in a dark enviroment.
    So i quickly shut off the lights too see if my Macbook did what the Macbook Air and Pro do, but nothing happened. So i fiddled around in keyboard and mouse settings and i couldn't find anything remotely close to lighting on my keyboard. So i started looking at the keys, and they appear to be grey letters, but maybe its just me because isn't there a possibility that they are clear and i am only seeing the darkness thats underneath them. So instead of getting all bent (because staring at a key for a couple minutes is really frustrating) i decided to come here and ask does my Macbook have keyboard lights that eluminate keys?

    Thanks for the star. Still - it's a fairly minor thing. There needs to be some justification for the additional price of a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.
    Illuminated USB keyboards seem to be relatively inexpensive if you must have that feature.

    Click-dragging the playhead skims the project.
    You can hold down the shift and right or left arrow keys to skip-play 10 frames at a time (basically skim forward or reverse through the project.)

    I got the blob insert example from Oracle's documentation and can't see anything wrong with it. The second function also seems to be ok which got me thinking that Oracle's occi might have some kind of bug that corrupts memory. Anyone knows anything about this or has done anything similar?

    Does anyone insert blobs this way? Or just using the "insert -> select for update" way?

    CRC stands for Cyclic redundancy check as we all know, there are ways of caculate it using programing language like Java, C#,etc, since we are undertake the ETL job for data warehouse, there are many update operation in DB using SQL, so I am wondering if there any utility or package in DB to caculate the CRC, then we can attach it at the end of each record in table.

  • Why does my iPad have yellow like spots on the screen when the screen is on dark images.?

    When I open dark images, my iPad has this yellow like spots around the screen next to the bezel.  It only happens when there is a dark screen like for instance when a YouTube video is loadeding or when I have dark pictures. Is this normal.? Or should I take it to the Apple Store.?

    first of all was your ipad dropped on a hard floor or something if not then you should just take it to apple as that is not normal you should probably get the device replaced

    As someone who has actually used SQL Profiler I will add a few comments.
    There are two Oracle features that may be of interest when trying to duplicate SQL Profiler information.
    Niall mentioned the Oracle trace facility. Oracle is heavily instrumented and the internal measurements for how long individual operations executed and/or waited are available via the trace facility. It can be turned on by a session (several methods available) and it is also possible to turn trace on externally for an already running session.
    An experienced DBA may choose to work with the raw trace file but Oracle provides a utility trkprof which will format the trace file collecting the execution information (number of physical IO, Logical IO, and rows returned) by SQL statement.
    This kind of trace files are primary used for tuning purposes. Trace files can also be used to capture bug information via setting database events,
    You can find information on SQL trace in the Performance and tuning manual.
    Another feature that may be of interest is the Log Miner feature. This feature allows you to see the SQL in the online or archived redo logs. It is possible to generate SQL to back out changes that were applied.
    This reminds me of another feature that will allow you to see "recent" activity: flash back query. For as long as the information is retained in the undo segments it is possible to query all activity against a row or set of rows in a table.
    Again each of these features is documented in the standard documentation.

    Disappointing that it's gone. Will definitely submit a feature request.
    The frequency selection tool was convenient, especially in the spectral view, because you could manually select one frequency across the entire file, while being zoomed in at only one specific time segment. You always risk forgetting/not catching something at the beginning or end of the file, when doing the manual selection tools, like the rectangle selection. Plus you'll have to be zoomed out all the way, so it's a bit harder to exactly select the frequency you need.
    The automated tools are useful, but in early 2015 I still value the human pattern recognition systems and artistic and aesthetic judgement over that of an AI. (We'll see for how much longer,...)
