Does Oracle Express 6.3 support CWM?

Hi there,
Does anyone ever has any experience using Oracle Wharehouse Builder to build a data warehouse and integrate it with Oracle Express?
I read the manual of Oracle Express Server and it supports access to RDBMS. But my case is that I already have a warehouse and would like to have it work with Oracle Express. OWB claimed it implements Common Warehouse Model (CWM) so that the warehouse can be used by other OLAP tools including Oracle Express.
My question is which Oracle Express function could be used to import the CWM instance created by OWB? Appreciate your help.

Does Oracle E-Biz 11i support intercompany Invoice with a negative line?

We are using Oracle E-Biz GL/AP/AR/FA (Oracle E-Biz 11.5.2.10). Now we are facing this issue: When we create an intercompany Invoice with a negative line it does not generate proper inter-company entries.
For eg:
Invoice Amount 1000 for company1
Distribution:
Company2.account.company1 : 300
Company3.account.company1 : 300
Company4.account.company1 : 500
Company5.account.company1 : -100
when transfer to GL process is done following entries are generated.
Company1.Liab account.company1 Credit 1000
Company2.Exp account.company1 Debit 300
Company3.Exp account.company1 Debit 300
Company4.Exp account.company1 Debit 500
Company5.Exp account.company1 Credit 100
on posting following Intercompany transactions are generated.
Company2.Interco Payable account.000 Cr 300

where as the correct entry should be :

Have you faced this kind of issue? Does Oracle support intercompany Invoice with a negative line (credit)? If 11i doesn't support this feature, does Oracle E-Biz 12 support this feature?

Now we are trying to convert the 11g-Database UTF-8 characterset to AL32UTF8 characterset.Why do you need to change the database characterset?
As per metalink Notes, there is no very clear steps on how to deal with Apps Environment after DB characterset change using CSALTER.Did you go through these documents?

1) After DB characterset change, do we have to run Autoconfig, after editing the DB XML file to reflect new characterset value.Yes.
2) Does the same apply to Application CONTEXT file also for APPL_TOP, etcAre you also changing the application tier characterset? However, I would say you will have to run AutoConfig in both cases.
3) when shud we run adadmin- filesystem cahracterset conversion. Before or after autoconfig.Run the "Convert character set" via adadmin, then run AutoConfig -- See "Oracle® Applications Maintenance Utilities" manual for details.
Also i am facing issues in connecting to sqlplus from applmgr user after the DB characterset change.
It just core-dumps.Did you implement all the steps mentioned in the documents? What is the complete error message? What does "echo $NLS_LANG" return as oracle and applmgr users?

Does Oracle Express support Java servlets?

I am wondering if there is any functionality in Oracle XE that lets it emulate the Oracle Application Server. I am spefically looking for mod_plsql and j2EE(or .jsp and servlet) properties. An .ear file needs to be deployed into an application in the server.

Hi, I've tried setup the Oracle (installed in Windows) support OS Auth for Windows AD.

FOX visual DBF => using ODBC
DMS unisys => don''t know but if there is a ODBC availble it will work
Oracle 9.0 and 10g => of course (native Client and ODBC)

Does Oracle Exchange Portlet 2003 Support SSL?

I installed the Oracle Exchange Portlet 2003 successfully. However, when enabling SSL on the Webmail (frontend) of Exchange Server, I got the some SSL handshake error. Just wonder whether the portlet support the SSL.

Does Oracle Developer /Server(Japanese) support Internet deployment

I am working on Oracle Sever 8.0.4 / Oracle Developer 6.0 / Apache Web Server 1.3.6 / WinNT. I am trying to access the Oracle Forms thru Internet and made the settings according to the explanation given in the Developer6.0 technical papers. But When I access a form from Internet, it is not displaying the requested form and falling into the wait state. When observed in Apache's error log file, I saw the following error messages :
File Not Found : d:\orant\froms60\java\oracle\forms60\engine\RunformBudle_ja.class
File Not Found : d:\orant\froms60\java\oracle\forms60\engine\RunformBudle_ja.properties
File Not Found : d:\orant\froms60\java\oracle\forms60\engine\RunformBudle_ja_JP.properties
I made the system wide search for these files but not seen....
I could able to run these forms with "web deployment" option in the developer Forms menu, but not from the browser....
Do Any one of u have the Idea whether Oracle Developer / Developer Server 6.0(Japanese version) support the access from Internet.
Ur help is most appreciated as I my project release work is held up with this problem for the past 2 weeks....

Yes, you will have to upgrade to at least 8.1.7 if you are using Sun or 9.0.1 if you are using HP.
In these versions of the database you will have the abilty to syncronize.

I am designing an integration package that will push contacts from my domain to Oracle CRM on demand contacts and vice versa based on mapping saved by users...
Please send some examples if this is still supported by Oracle CRM...
Or some alternative for getting the display name and the customfieldId from CRM (Admin)

AFAIK there is no such mapping available, however you may want to take a look at this Support Community thread that discusses the migration and even gives some samples.

Does Oracle Framework ToolBox Tutorial supported by 11.5.9?

Hi guys,
We have 11.5.9 instance and now we want to make an internal training with the tutorial sample. I have downlload the patch:
FWK.H (11.5.9 or 11.5.10 base release)
You need JDeveloper from Patch 4045639 (9IJDEVELOPER WITH OA EXTENSION ARU FOR FWK.H)
But when we turn to the sample it self, we can't find the 2 necessary responsibility:
OA Framework ToolBox Tutorial (responsibility key is FWK_TBX_TUTORIAL)
OA Framework ToolBox Tutorial Labs (responsibility key is FWK_TOOLBOX_TUTORIAL_LABS)
in 11.5.9 instance.
I have the doubt that whether 11.5.9 support this tutorial sample? or we have other alternative way to do the similar thing?

What's more the db object of ak is also missing....
Right now we just copy db object from 11.5.10 instance....
Coping from a different version of instance might or might not work. To me also it looks like improper patching.

Is the Oracle Expression Filter supported on ca be used in an XE version?

Hi everybody.
Is the Oracle Expression Filter feature supported for the Oracle Database XE ?. According to documentation, this is a feature available only to Standard (Standard Edition One i guess) and Enterprise Edition. However, i can see the script catexf in the rdbms/admin directory in my XE Oracle Home.

Expression Filter depends on some functionality that is not included in XE. So the Expression Filter feature is not supported in XE.

As specified in the documentation Oracle Express offers the following space storage limitations. To clarify what defines the storage space, can you please answer the questions below. Here are the four limitation as specified in the Oracle Express documentation
1- User data cannot exceed 4 gigabytes in size (in addition to Oracle system data).
2- Each computer can host only one instance of Oracle Express.
3 - Oracle Express may be installed on a multiple CPU machine, but it will execute (run) only on a single processor or a single processor core if multi-core processors are used.
4- Oracle Express may be installed on a server with any amount of memory, but will use only up to 1 GB of available RAM memory.
User data cannot exceed 4 gigabytes in size (in addition to Oracle system data).

Oracle 10g express edition can support forms 6i & reports

I have installed oracle 10g express edition and installed forms 6i. while connecting forms 6i into ora 10g express edition it is not connecting in windown xp platform.
It is showing only "dont send error". I want to know oracle 10g express edition can support forms & reports.
