Does Os lion fully support logic 9 now?

or is it still full of bugs etc. i put it on my machine a few months ago but had to revert back to snow lepoard because there were too many issues. are they sorted yet?

I have an iMac (mid 2011 with Intel chip) with Lion OS X 10.7.2 and just bought Logic Studio about 3 weeks ago (the box version, not app) and have had no problems with it as of yet.  I'm still making my way through the Explore book and have not yet downloaded 9.1.6 b/c I'm waiting to see if whatever little problems people have been talking about on this list are resolved, or if it's just a quirk with their system before I upload it.

  • Does MuVo N200 fully support Traditional Chinese charact

I wonder if MuVo Micro N200 sold in the UK fully support Traditional Chinese character and some Asian languages such as Japanese(both in showing MP3 file/song name and in user interface)?
Or, I can only get UK-spec N200 and it only shows English/European Languages?

No, the unicode support have bugs for reading the id3 tags.
    Some characters are missed sometimes.
    Its no good.

  • Does M-Audio NRV10 support Logic? Tascam FW1082 better?

Bear with me I'm a beginner...
I bought the M-Audio NRV10 analog/Firewire mixer, but Logic has no dedicated control surface support for this hardware. Why is this? Will it come in Logic 8? And is there any workaround? (I'm not interested in MIDI, just audio).
Like most Firewire devices, I can route Logic channel outputs to any fader on my M-Audio, and I can assign inputs into my mixer to any channel in Logic.
BUT I'd like to be able to control track automation data such as volume, pan, etc with the mixer.
Also, what advantages would the Tascam FW1082 give me over the M-Audio? It appears to have motorised faders, proper support in Logic etc.
I'm very much a beginner, so any thoughts about these 2 devices would be appreciated.

As a follow-up to clarify my question... is it simply the case that the M-Audio NRV10 is not a control surface at all and just a Firewire audio mixer? Whereas the Tascam is both? And therefore I will not be able to control track automation data? And is MIDI support the key to controlling track automation data?

    Hi Janedoessis,
I think you mentioned that it is not working in your another post. Anyway, I have tried that and it does not work, in fact, upgrade to the latest Java version 1.7.0_09 has made the Parallels Desktop run slower

Install Snow Leopard on another boot partition, or upgrade Microsoft Office to a newer version, or use any number of better alternatives. Some of them are free.
    Consider
    LibreOffice (donation-supported)
    NeoOffice ($10)
    OpenOffice (completely free)
In addition to the above I also recommend Apple's Pages ($19.99). I use OpenOffice and Pages and have been completely Microsoft - free for over a year now. Life is better without Microsoft.

  • Does LPX fully support retina displays or is there still pixelation issues?

I've been using LP9 for a while now and recently upgraded to the retina display macbook pro which displayed quite a lot of pixelation in LP9. Does LPX fully support retina screens?

There is an Apple document which specifies that key 1 should be used for WEP configuration and recommends using WPA or WPA2 for wireless security: iPad: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections. It's too bad that you didn't find this when you had problems.
The iPad will work with WPA-TKIP or WPA2-AES. AES provides much stronger security. There is much misinformation on the Internet on this subject.
WEP is insecure, obsolete and has been deprecated by the IEEE since 2004. There is no chance that Apple or anyone else will waste resources on enhancing WEP implementations. For more information on the tattered history and vulnerabilities of WEP read this: WEP - Wired Equivalent Privacy
I'm glad to hear that you got your system working. Your post was well-written and might help someone else.

  • Does Mountain Lion support Word 2008?

Does Mountain Lion support MicroSoft Word 2008?

I had completely uninstalled Office '08 on my old computer running Snow Leopard and had already made the switch to Office '11 when I got my new MBP with Lion. Since I used Setup Assistant, everything migrated well and I've had no trouble with ML and '11.
However, if you visit the MS Office for Mac user forums you will note that many users of '08 - and Word '08 in particular - are/were having problems with Lion and, now, with ML. I would suggest that your wife just customize '11 to her liking - shortcuts can always be modified (well, most of the time).
There are instructions on how to completely uninstall '08 here.

  • UCS Boot from iSCSI fully supported now?

I'm assuming based on Cisco's documentation that boot from iSCSI on UCS blades is now fully supported (as in TAC will provide support for an problems now)? Correct?
    Cisco UCS boot from iSCSI
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/gui/config/guide/2.0/b_UCSM_GUI_Configuration_Guide_2_0_chapter_011101.html#concept_D7BF302366F24CF5A602B0E0BD18787C
Does that cover all versions of ESXi?
Has anybody noted any caveats or issues relating to UCS boot from iSCSI for ESXi?
Just curious as all previous validated design guides from Cisco have been based on FCoE/SAN boot.  Would be nice to know its a fully validated
(Cisco. Netapp, Vmware) "Flexpod" implementation .

Ahh.. Just found the new CVD "VMware vSphere Built On FlexPod With IP-Based Shared Storage"
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/UCS_CVDs/cisco_ucs_vmware_ethernet_flexpod.html
My other question still stands.. has anybody noted any caveats or problems with utilising boot from iSCSI for ESXI?

  • How does lion work with logic 9.1.4?

how does lion work with logic 9.1.4?

    Greetings,
So far, everything seems as stable as before.  Which doesn't actually mean its rock solid, but otherwise workable.  I'm running a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24DSP with beta audio drivers.  So far, everything is running well.  I decided to jump into the 64bit work environment with Logic.  I have yet to encounter huge problems with the 32bit audio bridge.  Just making sure I bounce everything that is 32bit.
As for everything else within Logic, I can't say I hate Lion.  Matter of fact, Lion seems buggier than Logic at the moment.  Logic handles well in Lion, but Lion on its own overall is a different can of worms.  I am mixed about a 10.7.1 update.  Usually, it fixes something on the OS, but breaks something else in Logic.
I have faith that Lion will turn out to be as solid as Snow Leopard.  SL was my favorite OSX so far.  Lion still leaves allot to be desired in terms of stability.
Again, answer to your question:  for me, Logic and Lion play nice.............for now.
    LGK

  • Does lion server support a single email address across multiple devices??

I am looking to move from an outdated Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to OS X Lion Server but I am unsure as to how Lion will handle email. I do not want to spend money on a new windows server if I can get a Mac Mini Server to do the job. I am a very small business with a number of email accounts for a couple employees and need access to email and calendar from both the office iMac's and my Macbook Pro when on the road. My IT guy says I need Exchange but he's been off base on a few other items recently and I wanted to check with other sources.
I have 2 new iMac's, a MacBook Pro, an iPad1 and and iPhone4 on the mac side of things and 2 windows computers running XP. I would get rid of the windows computers completely if not for my CAD program which runs best not in a virtual machine mode.
How well will email and calendar entries sync across devices?

I have a very similar setup at my office. Lion Server will push email, calandar, contacts to all of your apple product with out a hitch.
As far the Windows XP machines, you can access email over IMAP with Thunderbird, and calandars via sunbird or the built in web app.
I would ditch the exchange server move to Mac OS X Server, and never look back.
    God Luck!
PS. All of your devices will be in sync all the time.
    Shore answer:
Does lion server support a single email address across multiple devices??
    Yes.

  • Does OS Lion 10.7.5 support Airplay mirror of Apple TV 3? I can't find the option in Setting Display on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro.

Does OS Lion 10.7.5 support Airplay mirror of Apple TV 3? I can't find the option in Setting>Display on my mid 2012 MacBook Pro.
I've rebooted all 3 devices, still does not work. Both Apple TV and MBP are on the same wifi. And the Apple TV AirPlay option is on. Can someone help? Thank you.

    About AirPlay and Airplay Mirroring
AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). For non-qualifying Macs you can try using Air Parrot.

Thanks to the $15 Beamer, AirPlay streaming is still possible on Macs  that do not support Airplay and mirroring.

Hi skoziak, I guess your new Mac is intel core? If then, I've got the same problem as you before, the solution is, force Safari to run with Rosetta, then the images will shown. I have reported this issue to Apple before, hope the next version would solve this problem natively.
