Does OVM 3.0x provides management web service or API?

Hi
I thought OVM 2.20 provided Oracle VM Manager Web Services API Reference.
Where can we find the same thing for OVM 3.0x?
Thanks.

  • How to provide a (web)service which delivers a process context?

    Hi folks,
    i have designed a process with Process Composer so far.
    Several tasks read and write data into the process context.
    What i want to do now is providing a (web)service which gets an process instance number as input and delivers the data from the corresponding process context as output.
    Maybe someone can explain me the steps that are needed to implement that?
    TIA
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    In case you want to have an 'instant view' on the process data context that might be an option.
    Nevertheless I would not recommend doing so / be careful if there is no other possibility. Maybe it makes sense to define specific check points where data could be synchronized. You would benefit of a more clean process model and a reduced number of outgoing web service calls which in fact would also speed up process execution.
    I am somehow curious what you are planning to achieve. Could you elaborate on that?
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • GTC Connector using SPML Format Provider and Web Services Transport Provide

    Hello All,
    Did any body create a GTC connector which uses SPML Format for Format Provider and Web Services format for Transport Provider?
    Is there any doc which talks about the same?
    I need to provision to a system over web services and I thought GTC using the above formats should be an easy approach. Am I right?
    I was trying to follow:

    But Iam getting lost in the immerse details.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi ,
    I tried creating one and am getting the following error while provisioning:
    SPML Response failed V2 schema validation
    Th eoracle document says :Ensure that the SPML response returned by the target system conforms to the SPML V2 standard specification

  • Error communicating with the Cluster Manage Web Service

    Hi,
    i connected oracle database with the Endeca Studio but while uploading Departments dataset i m getting this error
    "Error communicating with the Cluster Manage Web Service" so plz can anyone explain me wat is this error about.
    thanks in advance

    I actually ran into this myself- as Pat notes, it's hard to say without seeing log files, but I think that perhaps the default domain profile that the Endeca Server uses for domains created using Provisioning services has not been created.  First see what domain profiles exist.  Navigate to wherever endeca-cmd lives (e.g., user_projects/domains/endeca_server_domain/EndecaServer/bin), and use the list-dd-profile command:
    -bash-3.2$ ./endeca-cmd.sh list-dd-profiles
    The profiles that exist will be returned in your terminal window:
    prov_dd_profile
    default
    If you only see 'default', then you will need to create 'prov_dd_profile'
    ./endeca-cmd.sh put-dd-profile prov_dd_profile
    Then try uploading your file again in Studio.

  • Does Weblogic 8.1 use Apache web service libraries

    Does Weblogic 8.1 use Apache web service libraries ? I've been pressured to include the apache web service libraries, but have been resistant. I was later told by those wanting me to include the apache libraries that weblogic uses the apache libraries, but I have not found any evidence of it.
    Can some confirm or deny this?
    Thanks,
    Eddie

    Hosting an Apache web service inside WLS is basically deploying the Apache service as a webapp in WLS. And in the webapp's WEB-INF\lib folder you would have the Apache libraries.

  • Index management web service

    Hi im trying to use Index management web service from a Web dynpro
    Have some one any code example  using searchFirstChunkInFolders function?? this function only works in folders indexed by some TREX index??
    Regards

    Hi Subrato,
    in my opinion that's not correct. In fact it's the crawler service itself that needs the internalIndexDocuments() mathod's implementation.
    So if no crawler was assigned to the index, no problem should arise, as no call to this method should occur. On the other hand, the exception is thrown and this meens that the method is indeed called by someone!
    What I can't figure out is which crawler, since none is actually set for that index!

  • Securing DSP calls via Web Services Mediator API

    I have been implementing a client of DSP 3.0 services using the static Web Services Mediator API. I am successfully calling these through the AL Service Bus, where I have deployed the WSDL generated from the DSP. We are calling this from a rich client (i.e. the client is not running in any container). My company has chosen to use SAML-based security on all web services deployed in the service bus.
    I know how to use general-purpose web service clients to pass SAML tokens to the web service. My question is, how do I do this when using the Web Services Mediator API. I have noticed the XMLHelper class and the RequestConfig class, but I have not seen much in the way of examples of using them.
    Related question:
    Is it possible to insert additional content into the SOAPHeader, or configure attributes on the Port?

    I'm checking into the SAML question.
    Regarding the soap header - whatever is in the contract defined in the WSDL.

  • Class DbwsProxy does not exist when connecting to WEB SERVICE

    Hi,
    I am trying to connect to the OC4J sample web service using the Oracle supplied method specified in this document.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/java/jsp/callout_users_guide.htm
    We of course use a 10g DB.
    The DBWS Callout Utilities were successfully installed by our systems team.
    When I run the sample script for the PL/SQL Dynamic Invocation Interface (DII)
    I get this error:
    ORA-29540: class oracle/jpub/runtime/dbws/DbwsProxy does not exist
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_DBWS", line 178
    ORA-06512: at "ABS.CHANNA_TEST_PLSQL_DII", line 14
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    Why is this??
    Any help would be grately appreciated?
    Is there any grans/permissions we have to give?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Channa.

    Be certain to "propagate permissions" for the shared volume. Under Manage Devices, look for hardware, "Server" then the tab on the right, storage, gear icon at bottom.
    This will change the permissions for all files, folders and sub folders.

  • Licensing question for managing web services within OC4J

    I was wondering if there is a separate license cost to run/manage/secure web services running in OC4J under OAS 10g Enterprise Edition?
    thanks

    The OC4J 10.1.3.4 release has moved the out of the box libraries OC4J supplies for JAX-RPC/WS into a named/versioned shared-library called "oracle.ws.jaxrpc".
    This means you can now easily "unimport" these out of the box implementation from the view of an application, and replace them with newer implementations such as that provided by the Apache CXF distribution by publishing it as a corresponding shared-library and importing that into the application.
    See the documentation for 10.1.3.4 which describes this: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/web.1013/e12290/opensrc.htm#BABDDAIF

  • How BPEL call an OWSM managed web services ?

    Hello All,
    I meet a case like this.
    I defined a web services( WS1), and build a BPEL process(BP1) to call WS1, then security BP1 by OWSM. When I want to call BP1, I included WS-Security in header, and put username and password there. It works fine.
    The I security the WS1 by OWSM ( Customer Requirement), then build another BPEL process(BP2) to call WS1. I also included WS-Security in header, and put username and password there. But it does not work and has Client.authenticationFault.
    I have checed OWSM document, but could not find valuable information about this.
    Anyone can help?
    Thanks and regards,
    Michael

    I successfully tested a scenario similar to yours. For that you may need to apply some patches. Here is what I successfully tested
    Client -> WSSE Headers -> BPEL -> HTTP Headers -> OWSM managed service
    Client -> HTTP Headers -> WSM service -> WSSE Headers -> BPEL -> HTTP Headers -> service
    Only thing I came to know lately is based on BPEL invocation binding you have to specify inbound credentials to BPEL so that you can propagate them to invoked partnerLinks.
    SOAP Binding -> use WSSE Heders to invoke BPEL
    HTTP Bindig -> use WWW-Authenticate headers
    Java API inoke -> use java properties
    Can you elaborate more on your scenario.

    Rajesh

  • LDAP security provider and web service authentication

    Background: we are currently developing web services to our existing weblogic application. Our users can configure user/password authentication in one of three ways: database, LDAP, or SSO. Setting SSO aside, we need to implement the same authentication for database and LDAP that we use in our existing logon servlet in our web services. In our servlet we detect which they are configured for and, if database, authenticate the encrypted password to a database table we have for user id/password. If LDAP we use weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication and the weak() method to authenticate.
    We've to use SOAP headers to communicate username/password from the client to the web service. We want to code a SOAP message handler to grab the username/password and do the authentication there. We've successfully put something together that handles the database authentication no problem and are now struggling with how to handle the LDAP authentication. We distribute a LDAP security provider we've coded for LDAP authentication. I guess what I am looking for is an equivalent functionality provided with weblogic.servlet.security.ServletAuthentication. Note that I realize the weblogic.servlet.security package has been deprecated starting with Weblogic 9.0 but cannot find what functionality replaces it. Any help there would be appreciated as well.
    Note that I am fairly new to web service development (about 10 months now) and definitely new to web service security and Weblogic security. I tried digging into the volumes of documentation out there regarding these two topics but am simply having a difficult time sorting it all out and figuring out how to do what I want to do.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    Add Provider (LDAP Credentials) in Admin console Security Realm --> defaultrealm -->Providers. Configuring Ldap in Admin Console will enable Admin Server to connect to LDAP. All the LDAP preconfigured Users/Groups will be available in Users and Groups Tab of Security Realms >defaultrealm >Users and Groups. Add Roles using Security Realms >defaultrealm > Roles and Policies > Global Roles > Roles. Add Role Conditions to the role by specifying users/groups configured in LDAP. If your webservice runs with SSL Anotate the Webservice file something like this below.
    @RolesAllowed({
    @SecurityRole(role="test")
    @Policy(
    uri="policy:Wssp1.2-2007-Https-UsernameToken-Plain.xml",
    attachToWsdl=true)
    Here the role is Preconfigired role in AdminConsole. Add the following tag in the soapenv:header.
    <soapenv:Header>
    <wsse:Security soapenv:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">
    <wsse:UsernameToken>
    <wsse:Username>test</wsse:Username>
    <wsse:Password Type="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#PasswordText">password</wsse:Password>
    </wsse:UsernameToken>
    </wsse:Security>

  • While doing risk analysis for profiles the web service is taking 20 minutes

    Hi All
    Iam using SAP GRC 5.2 ( As per clients requirement)
    Iam using  VirsaCCRiskAnalysisService web service
    For roles it is working fine
    But when iam doing risk analysis for profiles( S_A.DEVELOP and  S_CUS_CMP)  it is taking upto 20 minutes to give results back
    Is there any way in which we can reduce the time taken to fetch the results
    Thanks

    Hello Mph,
    This is mainly bcz these profiles are a bit heavy and have huge number of authorizations in each of them. Also since these are critical, these would be having a large number of risks which explains the reason for the delay.
    Now, besides what Harleen mentioned, what I would also recommend to you is to check the number of threads etc in the config you have done. These are the parameters which you can often change and update as per your requirements and have a great impact on the performance as well, without the need to deploy extra hardware, which is usually a pain for most organizations.

  • Category for COREid Identity/Access Management & Web Services - Please!

    The COREid products do not fit into any of the existing categories - we need an IDM, Access & Provisioning category.

    I believe she is looking for a category in these forums that deals strictly with the COREid Identity and Access product. This would include COREid provisioning. I would see COREid Federation and Oracle Web Services Manager having thier own categories. Obviously we are previous Oblix partners who were accustomed to these products having thier own sections in a forum. Is this planned? Is this already in place and we just aren't looking hard enough?
