Does OWB supports error recovery?

where can we view the errors and correct them?

Well, this may end up being a "religious" debate around snowflake or star, but the general idea is that there should be no real reason to revert to a snowflake dimension. The database should be able to handle a lot of data in a single table...
But to answer the question directly, we do not yet support snow flakes. We will do in the new release out later.
We get asked this question quite a lot, and the answer is that unless you have a lot of data in a single dimension (billions of records) there should be no reason for snowflaking...

  • Does OWB support snowflake ?

I know OWB supports Star schema design. But Does it support the Snowflake design?
We are thinking of a Supply Chain Global Data Warehouse where we get extracts from our Contract Manufacturers around the world and load the extracts into this Global Data Warehouse. I am exploring possibility of using OWB for this purpose, but I need to see whether the tool has any limitations.. one I can think of is whether it supports Snow Flake schema.
Apart from above question, another question is has anyone built a supply chain DW like above and any references, whitepapers, books or links to refer to? Please let me know
    Thanks much

  • "Dual Core Center does not support" error msg on K9N Platinum

    Hi,
I just formated my system and installed all the drivers as I usually do. Last thing I installed was the Dual Core center. I cant make it run as I get "Dual Core Center does not support!" error message. I have an Athlon64 X2 4200+ with the latest cpu driver from AMD web site. Any idea on how I could make Dual Core Center work?
    Thank you.

    Oh ok.
Well on the CD there is a Core Center, but on the site if you go deep into the specific motherboard download section there is a Dual Core Center. I guess it is for dual CPUs.
I've download the AMD X2 Driver. I just wanted to use the Cool'N'Quiet option, since I was told that I needed the "Core Center" for that.

  • Internet Explorer does not support error page

    Hey !
Do you know about a solution to devolp a default error-page define at the web.xml or so that is work together with tomcat, struts and IE.
Because only when I disable zhe friendly error message in the IE it works together.
But the conditions unacceptable to me and my web-tool.
    Mathias

kajbj, you're right about this not being a Java programming problem and this isn't the correct place for this query.
But it's a very valid problem; IE doesn't respect the custom error pages served up by the server for HTTP 500 status if this setting is enabled.
horst_skoff, unfortunately you can't do anything about this, it's a browser issue. Read more:

  • Does owb support nvarchar data type?

When i imported a source table from oracle9.i database,it can not import nvarchar type column.
    How to support it?
    thx

I suppose you mean NVARCHAR2, there is no such datatype as NVARCHAR.
NVARCHAR2 is currently not supported, but it will be in the next major release. The workaround now is to write a view to translate NVARCHAR2 into supported type VARCHAR2.

  • Mavericks Server; smbd: File system does not support 0x0, time/size attrs

So I recently installed a Mac Mini with Mavericks and Server 3.2.2 in the main office of my company and everything has been going well, minus a few expected bugs, until recently. Starting last week we've been experiencing random intervals where File Sharing stopped working altogether, and I'd been able to reboot and get it running again. Unfortunately, as I'm the Systems and Server Admin, I've been too busy to look at the logs until now (following the degradation of one of the drives in our DAT-Optic RAID system, I figured it was time to make it a priority), and I'm seeing dozens of entries in the system logs regarding the process smbd with file system does not support errors.

As far as I can tell, nothing else has changed in our system except for the fact that one of the drives died and was rebuilt as of yesterday (these smbd problems extend to last week shortly after I updated to 3.2.2 I believe). Any help would be much appreciated. I would normally first attempt a repair permissions to see if the issue is related to a bad plist somewhere but the last time we did that, our ACLs were duplicated across our file share and often incorrectly. I'm not sure if it's just me but the last Mac Server software I used was Snow Leopard Server (when it was still a full OS version) and it was infinitely more stable than what I've experienced thus far with Server 3. Anyway, I appreciate any help/advice that can be given and I apologize for the rant.

Been getting the same errors for a while.

Believe they are related to random disconnects from the file server (10.9.5).

  • Improvement request: add a capability which defines if the connector supports file recovery

A capability which defines if a connector supports file recovery makes sense when using Bridge. In Bridge, when you remove a file, it shows a confirm dialog with the question if you want to remove it to the project trash. When you confirm this, the file is immediatly deleted without any further notification as our DAM does not support file recovery (IRestoreHandler is not implemented).
If Bridge knows that file recovery is not supported, it could simply show a confirm dialog that the file will be immediatly removed, just as Finder and Explorer do this.

I don't have any answer for you, but if you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, send either a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, join the Mac Developer Program—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report or enhancement request. The nice thing with this procedure is that you get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

  • OWB 10gR2 Does not support DML Error Logging

I've just had this confirmed by support.
So Oracle's key ETL tool does not support 10gR2s key ETL feature DML Logging.
So far set based loads on large volume databases you are going to find yourself being tripped over into row by row processing.
    I find this staggering.
    Has anyone else found this?

Oracle has come back to us saying that
"DML error logging feature is not supported for distributed DML."

  • Hp the system recovery media does not support this computer, WIN7 GS72 Notebook

    HProduct: GS-B66US (17" I3 notebook)
    OS:             Win7
    Bios Rev:   F.47
Error message: "hp the system recovery media does not support this computer.  You are not able to restore this system"
Changes made to system:  Updated bios (I think).
Getting error messages (at system boot, as windows start, and from the intel hard drive controller) warning me to backup data and hard drive my fail.
I replaced the harddrive and inserted the first of my 4 recovery DVDs (created before I updated the bios).  After booting from the first recovery disk I get the following message
"hp the system recovery media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system with the media"
The computer still boots with the old hard drive (with drive failure imminent messages)  I do see support assistant offering another bios update but I did not install it with the hard drive problem
    PLEASE HELP
    TIA

    Hi,
I think there could be two possible reason. wrong media or systemboard is changed.
did you create any recovery media yourself or you ordered the recovery media from hp? also, was there any systemboard replacement done before?
media created on some other computer (same model) may not work on your computer.
you can order the media from hp.com here.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c00810334
also once systemboard is replaced you need to get the configuration settings done for BIOS(only HP can do it).
    hope it helps

  • System Recovery media does not support the computer. HELP!!!

Ok problem here the recovery discs that were created do not work. And this is where I'm stuck.
First the details. It's a DV7-6163CL Laptop with windows 7. The discs were created shortly after we got the computer. The reason we have to try and recover the computer is hard drive #1 failed and failed hard. Hard drive was replaced. Now after trying to use the recovery discs we get the error message after a few windows loading screens in Recovery Manger.
"The system recovery media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this computer with the media."
Well Hp doesn't support his platform anymore due to its age.
Is there anything I can do next to formatting the computer and getting a new OS?

Many times this error is caused by missing info in BIOS. Can you enter BIOS-F10 at power on- and check for serial number, etc?
Sometimes a new hdd requires prepping with Cyberlink Utility cd first. Download and Save the file. Once download is complete, put a blank cd in your drive and click the file to create a boot cd. Boot with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicating hdd is ready. Remove the cd , insert first Recovery Disk and restart the laptop.

  • IE11/Win 8.1 error 'Your client does not support opening this list in windows explorer'

I hoping someone might be able to help with this frustrating issue.
I work on a project where we are using various versions of on-line SharePoint (2007/O365).  In order to quickly drag and drop folders we need to often open the document libraries by using the 'open in windows explorer view'.
Using the same device, on occassion this works.  But often it gives a rather unhelpful message 'Your client does not support opening this list in Windows Explorer'.
I've searched for this issue over the net and confirm that the sites are added to the 'trusted' sites area and that the 'remember you credientials' is checked on logging in.However, the searches do not seem to apply to IE11/Win8.1 or on-line version of sharepoint
(the suggested hot fix is not suitable)
Only this morning, using the same device I was able, for a short while to open in explorer view, and then for no apparent reason, it began to display the error message.  I had changed nothing regarding settings or even closed the browser.
Do you have any support/ideas/fixes on how to resolve this.
    Many thanks
    val

    Hi Val,
sometimes an answer can be found on the internet by typing the error message from your computer into your favourite search engine.
    eg.
    http://www.bing.com/search?q=your+client+does+not+support+opening+this+list+in+windows+explorer&form=IE10TR&src=IE10TR&pc=HPNTDFJS
    see
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/asiasupp/archive/2011/06/13/error-message-quot-your-client-does-not-support-opening-this-list-with-windows-explorer-quot-when-you-try-to-quot-open-with-explorer-quot-on-a-sharepoint-document-library-in-office-365-site.aspx
follow the directions given above.... you need to add the domains to your Intranet sites list, not the Trusted sites list.
Perhaps you already have it mapped to your intranet zone....in which case make sure that you have unchecked "Enable Enhance Protected Mode" on the Intranet  zone dialog in Internet Options.
If this is happening 'randomly' on client machines, then users are probably changing their internet security settings in Internet Options. Ensure they are accepting the default.... Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default".
Consult with your system administrators to find out if they are applying a custom security template for the Intranet zone... It may be removing the sharepoint domains from the client Intranet zone's domains lists.
    HTH.

  • Dg4odbc to MySQL update errors: "does not support IS NULL in this context"

I am having a problem with 'where x is null' clauses in update statements to MySQL from 11g, using dg4odbc. Updates using the clause 'where x is null' return errors like this:
ORA-02070: database PLAZAHOST does not support IS NULL in this context
The rejected queries never get to mysql. Furthermore, I noticed that select statements with 'where x is null' show up in the mysql query log with the where clause stripped out, although correct results are returned to SQLPlus. It looks as though 'where x is null' is stripped off by dg4odbc, which subsequently applies a secondary filter to the results received from MySQL.
Note, both statements above work properly when issued from the MySQL client.
Has anybody seen this? It's a big problem for me, but I can't find any references to other people having the same problem, so I assume I've got something misconfigured -- but I don't know what.
I'm using MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver, MySQL 5.1 Community Edition, and Oracle 11g R1 all running on a 32-bit Windows server.
    Thank you -- rick

is null statement is post processed. This means in case of a select ALL records from the remote database are fetched into the Oracle database and the is null statement is then processed locally in the Oracle db.
So thze select will work as it is handled internally in the Oracle database. This also means as But "is null" isn't sent to the foreign MySQL db the update clause will fail with ORA-02070: database PLAZAHOST does not support IS NULL in this context
You need to recode the statement or use passthrough statements.

Since updating OS to Mountain Lion from leopard, I get the following error message when trying to backup with time machine on external drive.  "Could not complete backup to media share.  The network backup disk does not support the required AFP features."  What are AFP features and how do I get Time Machine to backup to my current external backup?

This means that your NAS does not support the required encryption. Update your NAS to the latest firmware or ditch it and buy a Time Capsule (they are the most reliable when using TM).

  • TS3212 I get an apple application support error when installing itunes. It says uninstall and re-install.  Does not work.  same message.  What is a solution?

I get an apple application support error when installing itunes. It says uninstall and re-install.  Does not work.  same message.  What is a solution?

Is that an error 2 message?
If so, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)
