Does Palm T X Supports Bluetooth PAN Network

Hello Guys
I have HTC P3000 phone for my cell usage and i have activated internet connection on the same. But the phone supports Bluetooth pan for internet sharing via Bluetooth. Earlier i use to surf the net on my Palm TX via my old cell phone. But now i am unable to pair my PDA phone with my Palm TX. IS there a way out to connect Palm TX and HTC P 3000?
Thanx
Regards
Jigs

Without a specific driver for the HTC that would install on the TX, I'm afraid you're out of luck...
You can try some of the Generic ones (Standard GSM?) that are included on the TX.

Only from within peer-to-peer apps from the app store or internet tehering (if proved by the carrier)
They support bluetooth for handsfree telephone, stereo music, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store, and internet tethering when provided by the carrier.
Other than these it will not connect to another iphone, phone, computer, device, ipad

  • Does the Pre support Bluetooth PAN connections?

Hello, I am new to the Pre and I am not too sure to its limitations, especially with Bluetooth. I can search for BT devices on my Vista laptop and find the Pre. However, once paired, it does not find any services. If I try and and pair the Pre with the Vista laptop, the Pre cannot see it.
My main aim to create a PAN connection so that I can get the internet whilst on the move. However, I am unable to do anything with my current BT pairing, not even see the file system or transfer any files across.
Any help or information on this will be grateful.

In order for the Pre or another webOS device to transfer files, it would have to support a relevant network protocol (which mobile OSs tend not to support). So, that's not possible. What the Bluetooth PAN does support, however, is tethering (if allows by the carrier, of course), and use by applications like Chapura Pocketmirror that include their own protocols for file transfer.

  • Does 3.1.1 support bluetooth headsets?

    Hi there,
I was wondering if someone could clarify for me whether I should be able to connect a headset (BlueAnt Z9, 4.0 firmware) to my iPod touch. I found an article online where the reviewer connected this exact headset to his iPhone. Should this work for Touch as well? The headsets works fine and connects to my blackberry and to my macbook, the Touch seems to be able to pick up the blackberry as well as my macbook, but when I try to pair it with the headset, it doesn't show up at all. Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot.

This would use the profile that phone headsets for cell phones uses, which does not work. There is no bluetooth profile on the iPod Touch for mono with mic. If you want to use Skype, then you need the wired headphones with mic that is sold for the iPhone. This will work with the iPod Touch.

  • Does Satellite A105-S2101 supports Bluetooth?

I was given this laptop for school back in '06. Served me well so far.... When I got it, it stated it had bluetooth technology. I even used the bluetooth tool in class a few times connecting to someones cell (with permission ofcourse). I have since updated my BIOS and varied other things.. now I have a BT phone, and tried to connect to my computer.. I cant find bluetooth on my laptop at all, and every file I DL to fix it results in telling me that I need to plug in the bluetooth device. Any help on this would be great.

  • Does Satellite A100-233 supports Bluetooth?

    Hi
I have Satellite A100-233. Can I establish internal bluetooth adapter in this model?
    Thanks

    Hi
All notebooks with BT adapter have a BT label at the bottom of the unit.
If your unit has no BT label so the BT adapter was not installed.
As recommended in the previous posting you could use a external solution like a BT USB stick. This is very easy to use.

  • So I just found out about BlueTooth PAN and I am not clear on what it does?

So I have my iPhone and MacBook Air and on my MacBook Air I selected the Bluetooth PAN network option in the network tab of the system preferences menu, and hit setup new device and selected my iPhone, now when I hit connect in the Bluetooth PAN menu it immediately comes up with a notification (I am running OS X Mavericks btw if that makes a difference) which says "Network Unavailable" make sure network access is enabled. Where does it want me to enable it!!! is it on my iPhone or my mac???? PLEASE HELP!! I know I cannot be the only Mac user to have ever seen this and be curious, somebody must have a solution, also btw my iPhone is a iPhone 4 running iOS 7 if that makes a difference...

I realize this is hind site, by why would you go over an hour without saving? The power could have gone out or the dog tripped over the power cord. Something to keep in mind for the next project.

  • Can netctl configure Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network) interface?

Having sorted out the (so I thought) most difficult part of setting up Bluetooth PAN networking, I am at the stage of being able to make a PAN connection from an Android phone to my Arch machine, which causes a new interface "bnep0" to appear:
    [root@alarm ~]# ip link show
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP. mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether c8:a0:30:ae:19:26 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
3: pan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP mode DEFAULT group default
    link/ether 00:19:45:44:16:33 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    4: bnep0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast master pan0 state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 00:19:45:44:16:33 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
pan0 is a "skeleton" interface created using "brctl addbr", which is then used to provide an org.bluez.NetworkServer for PAN clients to connect to.
My question is: how can I configure the system (using a config file /etc/netctl/bnep0? or some other way?) so that bnep0 is automatically assigned a static IPv4 address when it comes up?
I have a working /etc/netctl/eth0 config. file that assigns a static IP address, gateway, nameserver etc. to eth0, and I've tried various modifications of that file as /etc/netctl/bnep0 (e.g. connection type "bridge" or "dummy" instead of "ethernet"), but without success so far.
    thanks,
    Mike

  • Treo 750 will only intermittently pair with Bluetooth PAN

I'm try to use my Treo 750 as an internet connection for my Macbook running Leopard 10.5.1. When I initially paired the two devices, the connection to the internet was instant. After I clicked "Disconnect from Network" under Mac's bluetooth settings, it wouldn't let me connected again. The "Connect to Network" link was greyed out. I deleted and repaired the devices, and it still wouldn't work. I restarted the computer and it allowed me to connect with no problem. After disconnecting that second time, it won't let me connect again - no matter what I try. Deleting and re-pairing, check and double check the settings - nothing is working! I'm ready to pull may hair out.
I've never had this problem with Tiger. Is this intermittent pairing problem a common issue with Leopard? If so- is there any fix. Are there any utilities that force bluetooth connections to pair, and thus allowing me to "Connect to Network," to connect to my phone's Bluetooth PAN internet connection?

I'm having the exact same issue with 10.5.2. I just got my work issued replacement for a Treo 700p, a Treo 750 with Windows Mobile 6. It is silly to compare WM6 with the iPhone (I have one of those too) but the iPhone lacks an essential feature for sysadmins, laptop tethering. The first time I paired the phone with my MacBook Pro, BAM, I was on. Holy wow, batman, that was slick!
Like yours, my second and subsequent connection attempts were not so joyous. I just got back on by deleting the pairing on both devices, rebooting both devices, and then pairing them again.
The idea of Bluetooth PAN is great, but I'm a bit under-impressed by the WM6 implementation. Why can WM6 not figure out that if I try connecting to the Bluetooth PAN network, that perhaps it would be a good time to automatically initiate the Internet Sharing feature? Instead, we have to turn the WM6 device on, launch the Internet Sharing app, click "connect", and then join that network from the laptop. At least it is smart enough to disable 'Internet Sharing' when I choose 'disconnect' from my laptop.
DUN is much more transparent once set up. Click 'Connect' in the modem menu and it just works.

  • Does Palm Pre Support Bluetooth SPP Profile?

I am a developer for a software company.  I write all the application software mainly for Windows Mobile to control our hardware in the field using Bluetooth SPP Profile, or Serial Port over Bluetooth.  Some clients have asked if they can use their Palm Pre phones to control our hardware.

At this itme the PRE does not support the SPP profile.
