Does performance point support effective username on https in sharepoint 2013

I see that analysis services effective username is supported from Sharepoint 2013.
In Central admin==> manage services==>Performance point service app there is a note saying effective user name is not supported in https or powerpivot.
But in the technical documentation it says only about power pivot http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219741.aspx but
not about https
My question is does performance point support effective username on https in sharepoint 2013

We try to send an email to a shared mailbox (Exchange 2007) from a workflow in SharePoint 2013. No errors are shown in the workflow but the message does not arrive in the mailbox. If we do the same with an user mailbox it works.
Both Exchange and SharePoint are on-premises.

If it is a mailbox then mail should be delivered.
Please check if mail is in C:\Inetpub\ pickup or drop folder

    Hi Kenny_I,
According to your description, you want to create a PowerView report using SQL Server Analysis Services database in a SharePoint site, now you need to do a load testing for this report, right?
In SharePoint level, there are many tools that helps in the load testing. For the details, please refer to the link below.

  • Root cause of error " Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource" - workflow - SharePoint 2013

    Good evening, technet community
I hope you are doing well.
When configuring my SharePoint workflow, I encounter the problem below:
    Problem Description:
Let's say my domain is: test.com, my group user is: test\group , my user is: test\user1
Except an admin account with full control at both "Web Application" and "Site Collection", all others account all have problem when creating a list item. After creating a list item, the workflow status is "cancelled" immediately
    with the following message:
RequestorId: 262a35e4-99f4-40f0-929b-5d04b415f147. - The workflow is still fail even I assign "full control" to my users group "test\group" – at Site Collection level.
Surprisingly, I have successfully found a solution for this error message. However, I still have some points that I do not clearly understand. Let's start with my solution first.
    Solution:
*** i. Assign permission policy at Web Application level – Central Admin site ***
    1. Central Administration ==> Application management
    ==> Manage Web application
    2. Go to "permission policy", then create a new permission level. This permission level contains all "edit item" permission.
    3. Select "user policy", then I assign it directly to my user account: test\user1.
*** ii. Assign "edit item" permission at Site Collection level ***
    1. Site Setting ==> Site permission
    2. Assign "Edit" permission to my test\group.
(Actually I removed all permissions of my user group at Site Collection level. It seem my group has inherited permission from Web Application level, is that correct? )
*** iii. Create a new list item and workflow runs ……. ***
    ==> My question is:
    1. Why I cannot assign permission to my users group - "test\group" -
at "Web Application" level? Instead I have to assign permission policy for each users, one by one?
    2. Could you please let me know how to collect full detail error message of workflow status?
Thank you very much! Have a nice weekend.

Thank you for your very detail response.
Point 1: Yes my 2 service: user profile & profile sync service are running. I performed "full synchronization" as well. Actually i've tried 3 another action plans before coming up with the solution i posted:
    *** Actions completed ***
    1. Activate the feature: workflow can use app permissions.
Site actions > Site Settings > Site features >activate the feature below:
     Workflows can use app permissions
    2.
Refresh trusted security token services metadata feed
    Get-SPTimerJob
    "RefreshMetadataFeed"
    | Start-SPTimerJob
    - then restart the machine.
    3. Start full user profile synchronization.
    Point 2:
    - Yes my user had Edit permission at workflow task list + list affected by workflow.
I have just remove all permissions of my user at "Site Collection" level. However, when i show my user permissions at my workflow task list and my users still have "Edit" Permission ( assigned at Web Application level. These permissions
still exist even after my workflow task list stop inheriting permission).
==> the problems probably belongs to "permission" at "Site Collection level". It seems "permission level at my Site Collection does not work". All users accounts are also suffer from the same issues except farm admin account
( which has full control at Web Application level).
I would appreciate if your guys can guide me how to make "permission" at my "Site Collection level" work again?
    Thank you very much.

  • SSRS Report inserted in Performance Point Dashboard fails to display when accessing through https.

    Hi,
I have a annoying issue : I created a SSRS 2008 R2 (SP Integrated) Report using report builder, I inserted it in a performance point dashboard and everything runs fine, on the SP Server. It means, when i'm accessing everything using local adress and
http protocol, it works fine. But once i'm accessing from my machine using SSL, the report is not displayed. I get first a warning asking me if I allow IE to display unsecure content, then the web part stays empty for a few second and finaly IE throws an "Internet
Explorer cannot display the webpage" in the webpart. I've been trying to put the https URL of the report in the PP Dashboard Designer but I get an unable to connect error. What is suprising me is that I do not have this issue with the report
itself, it works perfectly on the server and on clients.
Knowing that it is forbidden to connect to the server with designer tools from the clients, I'm in a dead end...
Anyone had this kind of issue?
    Thanks!
    Maxime

Do you generate a GUID error message with this error?  I suspect the problem will be more on the access than the item itself.

  • Business Intelligence and performance point problem

    Hi Everyone,
Please does anyone know why creating a dashboard from a Sharepoint list is such a hassle. I have configured performance point services, a secure store and a business intelligent website that has a data connection library and  Performance Point content
list . Unfortunately anytime I try to use dashboard designer to create a new data source and specify the site settings(using unattended account method) I can't save it. It gives me an error claiming that I either don't have permissions or the data source
    doesn't exist.
A search around the web for answers doesn't seems to solve my problem as it suggests that the problem is associate with many things which I'm not clear about. Please could someone who is good at this at least tell me the critical things to check and the
clearest way to set this up.
    Thanks,
    Dominic

    Hi Dominic,
According to your error " I either don't have permissions or the data source doesn't exist", it should be related to the unattended account permission.
Once the unattended service account has been configured, you must grant that account access to your data sources:
For SQL Server data, the account must have a SQL logon with db_datareader permissions on each database that you want to access.
For SQL Server Analysis Services data, the account must have read access to the cube or an appropriate portion of the cube, depending on your needs.
For Excel Services data, the account must have access to the Excel workbook in a SharePoint document library.
For data in a SharePoint list, the account must have read access to the list.

  • Firefox 7.0.1 does not remember/fill in username and password in Mac version although on Windows it works, so it's not the website preventing password being saved. what is up and how can this be fixed ?

There are several sites where I now have to type in my username and password each time I return, such as turnitin.com. (I'm a teacher and use this for grading). Friefox used to be able to remember this for that site and it still works at my office where I have a windows machine. Not working on my Mac OS 10.6.8 and it is really annoying to have to retype every single time; it's not a financial site or anything so why can't the Firefox browser remember and re enter my info?
And no, turnitin does not currently support Firefox 7 but it is only up to firefox 4 and up until now firefox at least worked to remember passwords.
I looked at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Username%20and%20password%20not%20remembered and I have checked all the recommended browser settings and am not set to private browsing; the sites where this happens are not set in exceptions to remembering, and they are not set to be cleared automatically
So, what's up and why doesn't Firefox remember passwords and usernames any longer?

Now up to Firefox 8 and the problem persists. Cannot go to the www.turnitin.com page and login as I used to do -- Firefox does not remember my username or password.
Still works on Windows, and with other browsers... It would be great if a fix is available.

  • Resizing a TIFF File: Overwriting TIFFFields does not have any effect

    Hi,
I have some TIFF files that I am receiving through a FAX server. Some of the TIFF files have an image length of *1077 pixels and a DPI of 200x98*. These images open fine in generic viewers like Microsoft Image Viewer and IrfanView and the image size in the information dialog shows up fine (1752x2158). But when I open the images in a LeadTools viewer (that works off TIFF Header tags), the image appears stretched out.
I am trying to re-sample the image to make it a true Letter size image (1700x2200) with resolution of 200x200. I have been able to set the TAG_X_RESOLUTION and TAG_Y_RESOLUTION which I can see changed in the Tag Viewer. But changing the following tags does not have any effect on the resulting image:
    TAG_IMAGE_WIDTH
    TAG_IMAGE_LENGTH
    TAG_ROWS_PER_STRIP
the following is the code I am using, I have tried all possible ways (removing TIFFFeilds and then adding them), but it has no effect. The last options is to use a Print Driver from within Java and Print the image (that re-samples it into a 8.5x11 inch image with 200 DPI). At this point, I am just curious about writing TIFFFields with images. Any ideas are appreciated:
    Thanks,

The resulting image with this carries the updated DPI values (200x200) but still carries the old values of 1752x1077, the length being exactly half of what Irfan view is showing.
Edited by: Manuj on Nov 2, 2010 10:48 AM

Your problem for some reason sounds familiar.
    EDIT
Ok, now I remember. Your post is like this one in the old forums,
    http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=540&threadID=5425983
Basically, for viewing purposes Irfanview scales the image's height by 2 and changes the dpi to *200x196*. It does this to achieve a 'square' pixel. The image that appears on screen now looks roughly how a printer would print it. However, the image data is still the same squished 1752x1077 image.

  • Performance Point Services - Unable to connect to site from Dashboard designer

Recently we moved the Reports site collection from one environment to other. So the Performance point content is also copied. Now I wanted to change the report paths that were deployed using Performance point services. When I try to open the report file from
perforamnce pointcontent  list it shows unexpected error. If I am trying to connect to the using Dashboard designer it says URL is not available does not reference Sharepoint Site or you do not have permissions to connect.
Pleasee see the attached file for more details.
How do the reports be fixed when they are to be deployed using Performance point services(Dashboard designer). Unfortunately we do not have the dashboard designer ddwx file with us. Its been developed by vendor and they have not given us.
How should the Dashboard reports(SSRS Report )  be moved from one environment to other. What is the best way to move the performance point dashboards from one environment to other.
    Environment- Sharepoint 2010

At both site-collection level and web application level you need to enable SharePoint designer. Did you do that ?
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mcsnoiwb/archive/2010/07/01/locking-down-sharepoint-designer-2010.aspx
Opening site in SP Designer also needs WebDAV to be enabled on the web front end servers. If the problem still persists, simultaneously open up fiddler and see what's the error message you are getting. That may give you some clue to proceed

I noticed that in startup, R1 was insert, but not online, which was in disabled state.

    Alan,
HA provided across a network segment within AWS is not a simple solution due to the restrictions that they place on the L2 segments.  As an example, here is Amazon's suggestion for NAT HA:
    http://aws.amazon.com/articles/2781451301784570
With that said, we're working on documenting a solution that will work around some of the restrictions through overlaid connections.  At a high level, one way that you can do this is with a couple of CSR1000Vs connected via a GRE tunnel over their Amazon segment.  You then would have to setup BFD and configure an EEM script to watch for a peer down event.  This script would then have to modify the AWS VPC Routing table (the VPC gateway) so that the hosts use the appropriate CSR as an exit point.  The unfortunate piece is that from the CSR1000V we cannot call the AWS API directly so this requires use of a second EEM script to SSH to a helper VM and execute the AWS VPC commands.  Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we will have a configuration guide to step through the individual components, as there are many moving parts.  At a high level this solution was presented in the Cisco Live session BRKARC-2023 around slides 35-40 (Session PDF) are some of the network diagrams and an example of the EEM script.
With that said, another solution that you might consider is Cisco InterCloud:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/solutions/Hybrid_Cloud/InterCloud/InterCloud/Cirrus_2.html
This allows for a secure Layer 2 extension from your data center into the public cloud which could remove some complexity in dealing with the AWS infrastructure.  This solution is not one that would be for the one off, single CSR type deployment, however if you are looking at scale it could be a good alternative.
As for TAC support with the Advanced License, this is the hourly paid model that we have within Amazon.  Support for this type of licensing is currently only offered through the support forum, however we are looking at other options that could allow direct TAC engagement on a case by case basis rather than a term license.  Depending on where you are at with regards to your deployment it may be appropriate to engage your Cisco Account Team to help determine which solution is best for you.  I can help track them down if you want to send me a private message.

  • Does BI Beans903 support OLAP 9.2.0.2?

    Hi,
Does BI Beans903 support OLAP9.2.0.2? Is BI Beans903 certified with OLAP9.2.0.2?
    Thank you.
    Seiji

The answer to your question is yes. In fact the latest release of BIBeans (9.0.3) which has just been made available for download from OTN will only work with a 9iR2 database if it has been patched to 9.2.0.2 level. As part of the OTN software download there is a link to the installation documentation which provides information on the database requirements
    (http://otn.oracle.com/products/bib/htdocs/installation/installing_bibeans.html)
Preparing the Oracle9i Release 2 Database to Use with BI Beans. If you want to run against Oracle9i Release 2, complete the following tasks:
If you have not already done so, install the Enterprise Edition of the Oracle9i database, Release 2. For instructions, download the Oracle9i installation guide for the appropriate platform from Oracle Technology Network (http://otn.oracle.com).
Important: When you install the database client, do not install it into the Oracle9i Application Server home.
On the same server machine, download and install the appropriate Oracle9i patch sets from Oracle MetaLink (http://metalink.oracle.com). To locate the patch sets to download, log onto MetaLink and click Patches, then search for the following patch set numbers:
2632931 -- The Oracle9i 9.2.0.2 patch set. Choose the appropriate platform, then download and install the patch set.
2529822 -- Best Practices for Tabular Cube Aggregation and Query Operations. When you configure the database, you must follow these configuration settings to ensure good performance of BI Beans.
    Hope this helps

  • Does CS5 really support OS X 10.5.7?

I'm trying to install the trial on my 10.5.7 machine with no success. The installer spoofs at around 100% completion, and then I try to launch Ps but it doesn't even show the slpash screen and crashes. Uninstaller doesnt work either, it hangs and crashes.
    Same with Master Collection trial.
    Does CS5 really support 10.5.7 ?

This is the installer log from Ps:
