Does photosmart d110a have 802.11a? If not, does it have 802.11n?

Had it connected via b/g WiFi but it doesnt seem to connect with my new router even though ive checked all settings. The manual and cd are useless, and hp site's specs for this photosmart are useless. Appreciate your help if you can find out if it's 802.11a or n compatible.

Hi,
Did you ask this question yesterday ? Your printer is NOT networkable without buying more hardware:
The following table lists connectivity options.
  Series                                                               USBWireless    NetworkWired Network (Ethernet)
HP Photosmart e-All-in-One D110a Printer
Yes
           No
             No
HP Photosmart e-All-in-One D110b Printer
Yes
            No
             No
In short, it does NOT have wired and wireless adapter.
Regards.

  • Does airport extreme 802.11a/c work with airport express 802.11n

does airport extreme 802.11a/c work with airport express 802.11n

"You can use the AirPort Express to extend the signal provided by the new AirPort, but the Express will not extend "ac" wireless since it does not have that capability. The Express will extend an "n" wireless signal if that helps."
This is what I am trying to understand.
So AXTRM w/ sep SSID for 2.4 (b/g/n) - call it SSID1 - and 5GHz (ac) call it SSID2 - WiFi Explorer confirms AC mode on 5G.
Using an AXPRESS to extend - I have the option of SSID1 b/g/n *and* the 5GHz ac SSID2 in the pulldown (it sees both?) --> if I select SSID1, it also extends this same SSID in 5GHz (both showing b/g/n) >> so I now have 3 signals on SSID1 (XTRM 2.4G, XPRS 2.4G and XPRS 5G) b/g/n and one signal on SSID2 (XTRM 5G AC) ac
    If I select the 5Ghz ac SSID2 to extend - it prompts me "do you also want to extend (the 2.4GHz SSID1)?" --> select yes and I now have 2 signals for SSID (XTRM 2.4G & XPRS 2.4G) b/g/n and 2 signals on SSID2 (XTRM 5G 802.11ac & XPRS 5G 802.11 a//n)
Is the 5G SSID2 actually being extended from the Airport Extreme to the Express?
The reason I bring this up is I am having a lot of issues since iOS8 came out (especially on iPhone 6). Everything I am reading is pointing to when people have 2 AP's set to use the same SSID. When you walk to a part of the house where 5G 802.11 ac signal marginalizes, the phone does not immediately hand over to the 5G 802.11 a/n Airport Express.
My thought was separate the SSID's but to me, if the Express can't extend 5Ghz from the Extreme, it's taking a step backwards. I am better off getting a more powerful router like an ASUS and going with one AP, drop the WiFi roaming altogether
    Any thoughts?

  • 802.11a network not supported for this Country Code

Hi, I get the following error whne enabling 802.11a network on a AIR-WLC2106-K9. Country is set to ID (Indonesia)
    >config 802.11a enable network
802.11a network not supported for this Country Code
Yet, on a AIR-CT2504-K9, set to same country code there is no problem.
Is this a WLC model or version issue? WLC2106 is on version 6.0.199.4 while the CT2504 is 7.0.220.0
    Andrew

Well is it the only country code selected? Also you might as well upgrade the 2106 to 7.0.x and move off the 6.0.x. Since your 2604 is at that code you might as well upgrade the 2106 and see. I'm guessing that you have the same APs and the APs are for that country.

  • Do I have switchable graphics or not?

My T61P with the NVIDIA graphics died on me Friday. I was "under the gun" and wanted to get back up quickly and decided to replace it with another T series. I scored a "fixer upper" T500 (2422 7VU; xxxxx 09/09) off craigslist. It recognized my T61p Windows 8.1 Pro system disk and booted up straight away. After downloading and installing all the drivers I could find, it's not clear to me whether or not I have "switchable graphics" or not. I have a mini dock and dual monitor set-up. My main Lenovo screen is 1280 x 800 and the only display driver showing is "Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (WDDM 1.1)" My secondary display is a Samsung SyncMaster EX2220 running at 1920 x 1080. It is connected to the DVI port on the mini dock. I've installed "Switchable Graphics Controller(s)" and the ATI Catalyst Control Center but I don't see an ATI display adapter in Device Manager. If I right click on the Desktop and select "Catalyst Control Center" two processes are started; "ccc.exe" (Catalyst Control Center?) and "MOM.exe" (Monitor?). I also noticed that after these two processes are started, my installed memory drops from 8GB to 7.91GB. I've installed the Thinkvantage Power Monitor but when I select "High Perfomance" in Control Panel Power Options "Apply" is "greyed out" If I try to start any of the programs in the Catalyst Control Program Files folder nothing happens? Do I have an ATI chipset installed or not? If so, how do I make it work?
I haven't cracked it open except to install the memory modules, although I will probably do so soon. The CPU fan assembly has a really annoying rattle. That will certainly tell me more, but maybe someone knows the answer. Compared to my T61p with NVIDIA 570M this system feels a little sluggish and jerky when watching video.
    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Hi there,
here is a direct link to the Lenovo Drivers & Software download page: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?
You can also access it by clicking "Support Drivers & Downloads" at the top of this page, choose "Think laptops" then "Drivers & Software."
If your type/model # is indeed 2242-7VU then here are your factory specs:
    ThinkPad T500 (2242-7VU):
    Based on 2242-CTO: P8400(2.26GHz), 2GB RAM, 320GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1280x800 LCD, Intel 4500MHD, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 6c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro
As you can see you have Intel graphics only. For example, I have a T500 here which I have upgraded and will be selling soon. It came with the following factory specs:
    ThinkPad T500 (2055-2CU):
    T9400(2.53GHz), 2GB RAM, 160GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1680x1050 LCD, 256MB ATI Radeon HD3650, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Business 32
I installed the ThinkPad Switchable Graphics Driver for Windows 7 (which is found towards the bottom of the "Display" drivers listed on the Drivers & Downloads page). Then, to switch back and forth between Intel or ATI graphics (which they call "Energy saving" vs. "High Performance", I simply right click the Lenovo Power Manager icon, which I have installed). In your case you only need to install the "Intel GM45 Display Driver" but should first un-install any "ATI" drivers as having the wrong graphics drivers can cause "sluggish" video. Then again, Intel 4500 graphics is not that advanced. I can't advise which video driver to use for Windows 8.1, as I find it a useless burden to mankind , and only use Windows 7 on my systems. However, I'm sure T500 Windows 8 drivers have been discussed many times on this Forum, so just use the "search" function above. Anyways, it sounds like you may have already gotten the correct driver from Windows update.
One more thing: You need to clean/ lubricate/ re-do the thermal paste on that machine if you hear a rattling noise. Else just change out the entire fan/heatsink assembly. It's very easy to do, and T500 fan/heatsinks are available pretty inexpensively. Then, you will find you need not even bother with TPFC.62.
P.S. Don't mind my overly-detailed responses. It's just the teacher in me  I'm sure you know most of these things. I always write assuming completely un-initiated laptop owners may read these posts later on and be glad for simple step-by-step instructions.
Have a great day. (I do not work for Lenovo)

  • Just tell me straight. Do the 17" Macbook Pros have the whine or not ?

I am so frustrated hearing about people having issues with whine. imac intel inspite of being almost as compact absolutely doesn't have any whine issues. It's just wonderful. Until a couple of days ago, almost everybody was saying 17" didn't have the whine. I want to know this straight....do they have the whine or not?

I have had my 15" MBPro, 2.16 GHZ, 7200 RPM 100G since mid-March, and it belonged to a batch that was supposed to have been "affected." Early on, the only problem I had was a tilted eject key which the Apple store fixed. I have never seen flicker at low light or heard a whine on this unit. It's not my hearing, as I have had others check my unit as well including my young kids who can hear higher pitches better than adults. It did get hot, but the highest I record using Temperature Monitor was 41C and after the firmware update yesterday I cannot see anything higher than 35.
Maybe I am just incredibly lucky, but I also wonder whether some combinations of the processor (2.0 vs 2.16) and hard drive (5400 vs 7200) were more conducive to whines and heat than others...it would be hard to imagine why the 17" would be different except for those factors. My iMac also has none of these issues.

  • My computer freezes when I connect either of my two Classic iPods. As soon as I disconnect the computer functions normall. This happens whether I have iTunes open or not

When I connect either of my iPod Classics my computer freezes whether I have iTunes open or not. I have a second computer which functions normally when I connect my iPods. Any advice would be welcome.

Your problematic PC, has some software or most likely the Winsocks of some plugins is in conflict with iTunes, if both PC has the same version of iTunes and Windows.
If you run the Task manager, compare both PC and see what process is missing in the good one, and that software is the culprit.
Then removed it from your bad PC, if you dont need it, but most likely you'll need it, as it is the graphic card or some video software.
    Have a nice day!

  • AP is unable to associate. The Regulatory Domain '-E' configured on interface '802.11a' does not match the Controller Regulatory Domain '-C'

    Hi,
There are three different types of APs associated with controller and working fine.
    1.       AIR-LAP1252AG-E-K9
    2.       AIR-LAP1522AG-E-K9
    3.       AIR-CAP1552E-C-K9
WLC is AIR-CT5508-K9. Software version is 7.4.100.0. Field Recovery Image is 7.0.112.21. Firmware version is FPGA 1.7, Env 1.8, USB console 2.2. WCS is 7.0.240.0 for Windows.
WCS is sending alarms for AIR-LAP1522AG-E-K9:
Message: AP is unable to associate. The Regulatory Domain '-E' configured on interface '802.11a' does not match the Controller Regulatory Domain '-C'.
Before Controller was 7.2.4 (not sure).
Country configured on WLC is AE and shows -CE regulatory domain. Mesh APs are also associated.
I believe this Critical alarm should not come.
how much is this alarm important? What should be done to resolve this?

Typically you still need to make sure that the country codes are indeed configured on the WLC. Thing can change when you upgrade code as standards might of changed and regulations also. If your AP's are functional, then you should be okay and I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if after the upgrade, the WLC complains about country code stuff, then you just need to verify that the AP's country code is defined on the WLC. May times the AP will not join and if it does join, the radios might be disabled or in a down status.

  • Airport Utility 6.3.2 says it does not support AirPort Express (802.11a/b/g)

My Airport utility is the latest version 6.3.2 but it does not support my AirPort Express (802.11a/b/g). I tried to download an earlier version but it wont let me.

Apple no longer supports these earlier base stations. If you wish to retain using an older 802.11g AirPort base station you will be left with only a few choices in order to administer it: 1) Use a Mac with an earlier OS X operating system, Snow Leopard or Leopard, or 2) Use a Windows XP or Windows 7 computer running AirPort Utility for Windows.

  • 802.11 N Enabler does not work

    Hi folks,
    My wife's MBP is a 2.33 GHz core 2 duo running 10.6.4.
I have installed the N enabler on it a long time ago (http://store.apple.com/us/product/D4141ZM/A) but until yesterday i have never had a N-network. Now that i do the AirPort extreme tells me her Mac is connected as a b/g client, not as N. My mac does connect as N client. The AirPort is setup correctly.
Network utility tells me her mac can do a/b/g/n as shown in the image in the above link but it will not connect as N-client.
I have repaired the disk permissions, restarted, tried re-installing the enabler (it won't let me).
    Any suggestions are most welcome.
    Jay

The wireless is setup as "802.11a/n - 802.11b/g"
The dash separates the 5 GHz band on the left and the 2.4 GHz on the right.
Your computer will connect to the band with the strongest signal, which for now is the 2.4 GHz band which you have set for b/g devices only. If the computer "sees" a stronger connection at 2.4 GHz compared to 5 GHz, it will choose the 2.4 GHz connection.
5 GHz signals are much weaker and do not penetrate any obstructions nearly as well as 2.4 GHz signals. I find that I literally have to have line-of-sight for 5 GHz to work well. Could that be a possibility there?
Do you want to try to "force" the computer to connect to 5 GHZ, even if that signal is not as strong?

  • I have a Mac G4 (version=3.3)  How can I connect it to my BT Broadband.  It does not seem to have an AirPort card - do I need one and if so how do I get one?  Many thanks

I bought a Power Mac G4 (version=3.3) second hand from my company.  It is running Mac OS 10.2.8 and Microsoft Office X.  I wish to connect it to my BT broadband hub.  However, it does not appear to have an AirPort card and even if it did I was told that the BT hub mainly works with microsoft rather than apple products.  Can anyone advise me how I can connect and what products I need to buy?
    Many thanks

The PowerMac3,3 uses the original AirPort 802.11b card. It may also need a card adapter to enable it to mate with the internal connections - I'd have to check on that.
Not true. Those adaptors were intended for the iMac G3 (long outdated) and only the iMac G3. All G4 machines just take AP Cards the way they are.

You should also look into upgrading it to OS X "Tiger" but make sure you get the original retail install CD. It will be black with a large "X". Grey discs are machine specific and will not work.
Actually I HIGHLY recommend upgrading to OS X Leopard. Tiger is no longer supported by hardly anybody (Apple, Adobe, etc) and Leopard is still the minimum for most things nowadays. If you want more life out of this Mac, then I would highly recommend installing Leopard. And as mentioned above you NEED a Retail DVD. (The Leopard DVD has a little Purple in the Center of the DVD and a BLACK X in the center.

  • Photosmart d110a not printing

My photsmart printer recently quit printing when I try to copy. It will print from the Mac. when I put in the printer instruction and hit OK nothing happens it just recycles back to the copy icon. Also I tried to follow the instructions you gave before but neither the refresh button or the X button will illuminate. Help

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @13152
By your description, it seems as though your Photosmart D110a model will print fine from your computer, however will not make a copy successfully.
If this is the case, try a power reset, and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
    Try the copy again afterwards.

    I'm sorry but I don't understand this:
