Does PI (XI) support EDI transactions?

Does PI (XI) support EDI transactions?
What additional infrastructure does a customer need to have in place to support the use of EDI?
For a customer that does not have this infrastructure in place is there a better alternative?

Hi,
Yes..by using seebergur adapter we can do the EDI transactions.

  • Does SAP SRM support recurring transaction?

    Dear SAP SRM Guru's,
Does SAPSRM support recurring transaction? In few business scenario like lease of a house, or EMI payment of a purchase, the transactions are uniform and repetitive. So, it does not make any sense to create  a PO everytime to make payment to the supplier.
ECC MM does support invoicing plan for such functionality. Does SAP SRM support such recurring transaction in standard? Can you suggest any workaround for that if possible?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi Ranjan,
As far as i know SAP SRM does not support recurring transaction or invoicing plan PO. The Alternative for you  requirement  like EMI payment or monthly charges etc can be met in SAP SRM with Limit cart.
You can create a LIMIT cart with value limit  and accordingly  keep  doing GR for part value.

  • Does BPM API support XA transaction ? and how to control

A customer want to use ADF AM to update database and use BPM API to create todo task.
The BPM API is ToDoTask() on oracle.bpel.services.workflow.task.ITaskService.
If the BPM API support XA transaction:
1.can ADF taskflow support AM and BPM mixed transaction ?
2.can Java code control the XA transaction, not in taskflow ?

this can be achieved by using
         <config-property name="TransactionIsolation" type="int">2</config-property>

  • Does Oracle App Server 10.1.3.1 support global transactions?

I'm asking because it seems it doesn't. My stateless EJB calls an EJB in another application server, but the transaction is not propagated. Why is that?
Does it matter which inittial context factory or which TransactionalObject?
Do the different application server vendors (Oracle, Websphere ect.) support global transactions between each other?
I cannot find anything about this in the Oracle App server documentation.
    Can anyone help?

    Hello,
Yes i should be possible to do.
Have you look at the OC4J transaction propagation that used the OracleAS transaction manager?
    - How to list.
This will help you to configure properly your application.
    Documentation:
    - Data source and Global Transactions (XA)
    - How do You Participate in a Global or Two-Phase Commit (2PC) Transaction?

  • Handling multiple EDI transaction

    Hi,
We are getting multiple EDI transactions (940, 850 etc) from our customer. I have defined one Sender Agreement with service interface as functional acknowledgment and one each for EDI transactions (with service interface 940 and service interface 850 etc) in the same configuration scenario.
There wil be only one communication channel to receive all the EDI files. My problem is whenever I send the EDI 850 transaction it is taking the service interface of 940. Because of that it is executing the 940 interface map instead of 850!!!
Am I doing any wrong in my configuration? When I test the data in test tab of configuration scenario, it is taking the correct service interface, but it is not happening in the run time... I cleared the cache also.. still no luck...
Can someone please help me in this? Please guide me if I am doing any wrong.
    Regards,
    Vas

    Hi,
I assume that you are using Seeburger for EDI data handlings..if yes
sender interface details for the payload (850,940) will be determined from the seeburger workbench configurations ..
after bic mapping execution it will result in two doucments one with FunctionalAck and other with attachement(payload..can be 850 or 940) based on this attachment name will compare with the entries of seeburger workbench and fetches the sender details and based on this receiver will be identified...
Hope this gives you need info..

  • Is HS Generic Connectivity(db2/400 odbc) supports Distributed Transaction?

    hi,
Is HS Generic Connectivity(db2/400 odbc) supports Distributed Transaction?
I am getting an error as follows
"ORA-02047 cannot join the distributed transaction in progress" when i am trying a transaction, which is inserting in to db2/400 and updating in Oracle.
if it does not support this, what is the best way
to do such things using generic connectivity.
(eg. by committing each sql statement ?)
my db is oracle 9i 9.2.0.4.0
remote db is db2/400 connected with client access ODBC.
    Thanks
    BA

    Hi,
one of the restrictions of generic connectivity is, that distributed transactions are not allowed.
    See manual: 7-6 Oracle9 i Heterogeneous Connectivity Administrator's Guide
    - Generic Connectivity agents cannot participate in distributed transactions; they
    support single-site transactions only
So you can only commit after each statement or you have to use the GATEWAY

  • Multipe EDI Transactions mapped to single B2B Monitoring Directory

    Hi
We have a typical requirement situation in our company. We are doing EDI transactions with one of our Trading partner. We are exchanging different EDI documents.
But, because of some limitations we are using Oracle B2B to exchange only one transaction i.e. 850 Transaction. We have done all necessary setups in B2B to transaction 850 document with this trading partner and which is working fine without any issues.
And we also get 997 files from same trading partner and we receive them and we don't want to use Oracle B2B to transaction those and we didn't do any setups for this.
All 850 and 997 documents are coming into one particular directory where the B2B is pooling for 850 documents. And B2B is trying to process even 997 documents from this directory even though there is no setups and agreement for this 997 documents to be processed.
And we don't have option of creating multiple directories for each transaction. I mean we cannot put 850's into one directory and 997's into other directory.
How can we deal such situation using Oracle B2B. Typically, B2B shouldn't process any such documents which are not done agreement setup in the system.
It should able to go through the files received and process only that have a agreement for.
    Regards
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,
We have already explored this option. But, we are trying to find a solution with in Oracle B2B.Could not really understand. The problem you are facing has only this solution and that also within Oracle B2B.
Is there any feature in Oracle B2B to send Email Communication when there is expcetion while processing any document.No. There is no in-built feature but yes you may create a BPEL process/Java utility to poll for records in b2b_instancemessage view which has message state as ERROR. These records are nothing but the exceptions which has occured within Oracle B2B. You may use below query -
    select bim.B2BMESSAGEID,bim.ERRORCODE,bim.ERRORDESCRIPTION,bim.ERRORTEXT from b2b_instancemessage bim where bim.STATE ='Error'
You may mail/fax/sms/publish the above information to any channel.
Below notes will also be useful for you -

  • Does SAP SRM support accelarated service procurement?

    Dear Guru's ,
Can you comment on if SAP SRM supports accelerated service procurement ? My client follows the below business process time to time:
While requiring to perform emergency services (which are also not high valued service), they directly create service entry sheet entering the service performed and create invoice against it in their existing MM system. They donot go for purchase creation and approval process as the effort does not justify the value of the transaction.
Now, since they are going for SAP SRM system, they want to transfer the accelerated service procurement process to SRM system as well.
Does SAP SRM support this business process i.e. creation of service entry sheet or confirmation without any reference to Purchase Order? I donot have any system to check it from myside..
Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi
In Std SRM - GR is always is done with reference to Purchase Order
Therefore it is not possible to post GR or Services without any PO

  • Does SAP DMS support EML format

Does SAP DMS support EML format, and how can I make it work?
I know I may need to add a new workstation applications for EML in DC30, but I don't know the detailed settings for e.g: mime-types and viewer configuration, etc. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
generally you can define a workstatiosn application for any file format. If the format has an extension with more than 3 characters please set the flag "You cannot rename...." in transaction DC30 to avoid problems.
Regarding the mime-type field I have to say that this is recommended by not really mandatory. Normally you should find the correct mime-type for the file format in the Internet.
In DC30 I would also recommend you to use the parameter %AUTO%%NO-LEAVE% at "Define workstation application in network". With this parameter the EML files will be opened in an external application.
In the field "file format" you just have to enter the value '*.eml'.
I hope that this information could be usful.

    Christoph

  • Movement type 124 does not currently support serial number management

Movement type 124 does not currently support serial number management
when I post goods return in qa12, the system shows movement type 124 doesn't support serial number.
Could anyone can tell me where I can set the movement type for serial number?
    John

Unfortunately it is impossible to post a return delivery from the usage-decision for a material with serial number profile, which is in goods receipt blocked stock. This is is missing functionality
The possibility in the standard would be the following :
    1. Close the inspection lot. Please do the stock-posting in a way, that    you post to 'GR blocked stock'. Remark : No physical is   done. This is only necessary to achieve, that status SPCO is set.
    2. Post the reutrn delivery with the MM-IM-transaction (e.g. MIGO).
Please check, if this is possible.

    Er, I got another question
I'm now looking at this hitachi model:
    http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?id=210&pc=dealtime#
which has good reviews (probably for others in the range). I originally saw it on ebay but it turns out to be cheaper buying it from the above supplier.
The question I have is does the MS 6382 support serial ATA? I'm reasonably sure that the above drive is parallel ATA (ie compatable with the MS 6382) because of the manufacturer's info here:
    http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/d7k250/d7k250.htm
but I thought I'ld ask before I order it or in case I change my mind (again).
    Thankyou for your help
