  • Which E series routers support the Wireless_Advanced.asp hidden page?

I know the E2500 and the E4200 support the http://192.168.1.1/Wireless_Advanced.asp settings but what other E series routers support this hidden page where you can set Beacon Interval, RTS and Fragmentation thresholds?

I own the E3000 v1 and it has this feature so I presume that the E1000 & E2000 have this feature. You say that E2500 & the E4200 have the feature.  I presume that the E1200 v1 to E4200 v1 have the feature while E1200 v2 to E4200 do not have the feature. See new userguide for E1200 to E4200.

  • Does the UCS C-Series Servers supports PCI/e card digium T1/E1

    Hello,
    Does the UCS C-Series Servers supports/compatible with PCI/e card digium  TE407P/TE420 T1/E1.?
The server will be used as Asterisk server.
    Thanks
    Philip

    Hi Philip,
Compatibility will depend on the server model that you have and whether the digium card is a full length, low profile, or half length pcie card.  Take a look at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10493/prod_models_comparison.html#~tab-a for details.  If there are any issues with the card itself once it is installed it will have to go through the 3rd party manufacturer.

  • Does SRP series routers support VRRP?

    Hi,
can somebody check if SRP routers support VRRP or HSRP? In documentation isn't this capability mentioned. I need make a backup to my main IOS based router.
    Regards, Martin

    Hi,
the console port indeed does not support RS232 modem control (data set ready/Data Carrier Detect (DSR/DCD), data terminal ready (DTR)). However, you cannot change the settings on the console port. You need to configure your modem to to ignore DTR and assert autoanswer. The associated Hayes-compatible commands are AT&D0 and ATS0=1, respectively.

  • Does model WS-X2914-XL-V support IOS version c2900XL-c3h2s-mz-120.5-XU.bin?

    Hi,
really appreciate if anyone could advise on the following.
Purpose: to implement bpdu guard on switch model WS-X2914-XL-V. current IOS version c2900XL-c3h2s-mz-120.5-XU.bin does not support bpdu guard feature.
Action: Download from cisco website c2900xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC14.bin but installation failed. (details in attached file, show version)
    Question:
    1) wonder if my switch can be upgraded to IOS c2900xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC14?
    2) If yes, what causes the error in IOS upgrade?
    Thanks!!!
    Christina

    Hi Christina,
Yes your switch definetely supports this image and your switch model number is WS-C2924M-XL-A as I can see from the attachment but in your notes you have updated WS-X2914-XL-V which I think is wrong.
As per the attachment which you have send your switch is WS-C2924M-XL-A and it supports 12.0(5)WC14 but the problem is your switch does not have enough space available in your flash to load the new IOS.
If you check the output of "sh flash" you will see 3612672 bytes total (840192 bytes free) which means not even 1 MB space is free and you new file will definetely be more than 1 MB so delete the old file first and then try installing the new one.
Your switch for sure supports this new file, to confirm my statement please check this link
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/c2900xl/2935wc14/ol256210.htm#wp84866

  • Confusion around PoE module for 800 series

There seems to be a lot of confusion around the PoE module for the Cisco 800 series routers
I'd like to know if the Cisco 887VA and 897VAW routers can have the internal PoE module fitted as an after sale item?
I see reference to 800-IL-PM-4= but searching for that amongst suppliers seems to show an external Power injector that connects to 4 Ethernet ports on the router and then from there you connect the external devices.
What I want to get is the internal daughtercard that adds PoE to the router itself.
Can anyone help me identify the right part please?

You can get the PoE daughter card pre-fitted before the appliance leaves the factory or you can do it yourself as an after-sales item.
800-IL-PM-4 is the daughter card.  Read the Q & A below:
    Q. Can the PoE be upgraded after ordering?
    A. Yes, you can upgrade the PoE on all models except the C892FSP-K9, which does not support PoE at all. For all Cisco 890 Routers, the product ID (PID) for the PoE upgrade is 800-IL-PM-4=. This PID comes with two power supply options: 80 or 125 watts. The older CISCO890 requires the 80-watt option, whereas the newer C890 requires the 125-watt option.
    Q. Why do some routers use 80 watts and others 125 watts for PoE?
    A. The 80-watt power supply is used in addition to the standard 60-watt power supply, so you will have two power supplies connected to the router. For the newer routers we combined these two power supplies into the one 125-watt power supply (hence we have a 4-pin connector). Both models support the base router as well as 4 ports with standard PoE.

  • Connecting 800 series through a sr520

    hi there
i have a demroom set up which includes a sr520 as the edge router connecting to the ISP and i have a uc 560 connected to that which is working fine
i also have a new business edition 3000 and a 800 series router which im looking to connect to the sr 520 for access to the ISP as the 800 series doesn't have a ADSL line on it .i have given the 800 series routers wan interface a static address of 192.168.75.14 wich is from the address range in the sr520s default vlan and excluded the address from the DHCP pool. now from the ccp express on the 800 s i can ping the wan port of the 800 s and the default vlan/gateway of the sr520 and the wan ip of the sr520 but no further also once i try pinging it from the cmd on windows i cant ping any further that the wan interface on the 800 s . i was hoping some one could help me with this as im not to sure where to go next

    hi andy
thanks for getting back to me .yes the wan port fe 4 on the 800 is 192.168.75.14 and i have a default route sending the traffic out fe4 the wan port to the next hop address 192.168.75.1 the default address/vlan of the sr520
i have selected the wan port as the outside interface but have not  configured nat.
the reason i have used the 800 at all is that the be3000 needs a router that has C.U.B.E (cisco unifyed border element)
and the sr520 doesnt also i only have one broadband line that uses adsl which the 800s doesnt support so i thought it would be easy enough just to directly connect the 800 to the sr520 put in a few static route and that would be it
but like i mentioned before i can ping the wan port of the sr520 from the ios of the 800 even googles dns  8.8.8.8 but get no internet connection and when i ping the wan interface from the sr520 its successful it seems to be from the wan port on the 800 and the 800s default vlan/gateway 10.10.10.1 wich is have some difficulty passing traffic
any ideas would be more that welcome
    regards

  • Cisco routers support ipv6 in OPNET?

    Hi all,
my question is: which of cisco routers support ipv6 in OPNET Modeler simulator?
    please, It's urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Dan,
This is a funny community section  to pose questions on the SOHO 97
It's End of Like annoucement was a wee while ago,  in June 2006.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps4866/prod_end-of-life_notice0900aecd804d5ad6.html
As you appreciate,  the replacement for the SOHO97, the 800 series product supported IPv6.
    I have taken the liberty , in relation to soho97,  to copy a section from the IOS software release notes from the following URL;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/prod_bulletin09186a00801ffda1.html#wp1003249
It states the following in relation to IOS version12.3(4)XG
    "Baseline IPv6
Supported Platforms: Cisco 831, 836, and 837 Series Routers; Plus Images Only
Support of the baseline initiatives IPv6 features—providing IPv6 support to all Cisco 830 Series platforms. Further details in release notes."
Like yourself, no where can i see a reference to the SOHO 97 product supporting  IPv6.
    regards Dave

  • Does the 76xx routers supports EoMPLS without SIP installed?

    Dear Sir!
Can you tell to me, does the 7600 series of routers supports EoMPLS without shared port adapters (SPAs) and SPA interface processors (SIPs)?
I.e. if we have 7606S-RSP720C-R, WS-X6704-10GE ports connected to backbone and
WS-X6408A-GBIC with WS-X6148A-GE-TX ports connected to our DataCenter
(without any SIPs and SPAs installed on board).
Can we make EoMPLS for such clients, which are should connected
to our DataCenter through remote CAT3750-METRO?
    Best regards,
    Maxim

    Hello,
There are generally two modes of EoMPLS:
    (1) PFC Based MPLS and related applications
    mode
    (2) WAN Based MPLS (SIP/SPA/OSM/ES20) and related applications mode
    (1) Is only dependent on which Sup do you have
and generally works with most of the Ethernet (LAN) ports... If you have PFC-3B or later along with Sup-720, Sup-32 (which is PFC-3B) you can do it.
    (1) Has some disadvantages - for example you cannot having L2 switching AND MPLS EoMPLS...
I.e. if you want to do local switching on Vlan 200 and part of the traffic to be switched part of the traffic to be EoMPLS you cannot do it without SIP/SPA/OSM/ES20
    (2) In this case you need to check very well what you're looking for. These are expensive and they support MPLS and its Applications and even support VPLS, which is not possible with (1)....
I hope this answer your quesiton...

  • Does the SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB support dual channel memory?

Does the SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB support dual channel memory?  Or does it only have one slot?
I'm curious if I can put a second stick of RAM in there for dual channel performance.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the response.  Can you please double check that for me, or post a link to the documentation where you saw that?  I asked this question on Newegg, too, and one of the respondants heard differently:
"i found out from sony that there is only 1 slot cause i was gonna get 1 more 4GB stick of ram for 8Gb. So iwas upset about that cause i have to get 8GB now and it costs 100$ for an 8Gb stick of ram on ebay. So this ram is expensive. So im sticking with 4Gb for now. This is a very good laptop though. I use it primarily for minecarft and steam and i get around 100 fps on minecraft so its good. I hope this helps." It's just confusing because other laptop advertisments I've seen openly stated how many RAM slots the computer had and how many were used upon purchase.  I haven't found anything like that which makes me think that there's only one slot for RAM. Thanks,Gremark

  • Wireless module on 800 series reboot

I have a wireless problem on the 800 series and with two PCs connected to the wireless router and you're a 40GB file to send by second PC over the wireless module does away is this normal?
