The search function in the itunes store does not work. It will accept a request and suggest searches but then it locks up and will not search. Clicking on the magnifying glass or a suggested search does nothing. Re-installing itunes has not helped.

I understand that when using Numbers/Pages - an up-arrow on a document means that the file is still to be uploaded to the cloud, what does a down arrow mean? It seems the document can't be accessed until the arrow clears.
I believe what it's supposed to mean is that some changes were made to the document on another device, and those changes were saved back to the cloud. Now you've opened iWork on a different device to access that document - it compares the document you've got locally with the one in the could, sees some recent changes and downloads them.
What gets me is why this sometimes happens even when I've not made any changes to a document from another device. -
The "always match my default message font" option in the Signature preferences from Mac Mail does not work if e-mail is received in other Mail Software. How can I make it work?
I found this plugin which solved pretty much all of my mail font rendering problems. It is designed for Lion, so don't know whether it will work but thought I would offer it up.

hi, i purchased a 2 dvd digital set. i cant just download it straight to my ipad. they said i have to down load it to my i tunes, then can transfer to i pad. im not seeing how to click the files from my email, and get them into the i tunes acct... ugh.
i do not have a mac home pc. just a regular pcI had the same problem after I gave my old iPad to my parents and tried to install Netflix. This is what you have to do: Open iTunes on your computer, the one you sync your iPad to. Then go to iTunes Store and search for and download Netflix app. After you download it, if your iPad is set to download new purchases it may start downloading on your iPad. If so, tap and hold to delete the app (because it is trying to install the new version on the iPad) Next step, go to the App Store on your iPad and find Netflix and it should say install since you already purchased it on the computer. Tap to install, and it will say the version is not compatible, tap to download a previous version. Click that and it will install the older version! One more thing, if and when you sync to your computer again it will say something like " Unable to install Netflix on your iPad" Just click the box to never remind you again, because it's trying to sync the newer Netflix app to your iPad, but it doesn't work so it displays the message. The old app will remain on the ipad. Hope this helps, good luck

The volume On/Off switch does not work. It does not mute sound. I have to turn volume all the way down to silence the sound.
Is the switch faulty or am I missing something here?well first remove the case. check the headphone jack for debris. do a hard reset by holding sleep/wake and home button down together for 10 seconds untill apple appears. backup and restore via itunes. if issue persists the device needs repair

There is an earlier thread that was answered by an Apple employee that states they are seeing the iMessage and Facetime servers are down. It is unknown when they will return, however it generally is not an extended period of time.

my wife's iPad home button has stopped working, in addition it will not charge either through usb or the wall.
She uses it to read novels mainly and has not mishandled it.
Any help is appreciated.

OM_CNI realize that you said that the home button is not working, but try this anyway.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. See if the battery will show that it is charging after the iPad starts up. -
With ios 7 installed 2 days ago on my iphone 4 and on my ipad 3rd generatiion it is not possible to switch the photo camera to video camera . What is the problem ? Did someone meet the same problem ?

Firefox 6.0 always disappears after closing. I have to search for it and it opens as though it has never been installed or used before.
An urgent stability update keeps being issued but that doesn't work either. No matter how long I leave it running, it never connects to the update centre. The hide button doesn't work which I think affirms and demonstrates it is also faulty.If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Can't connect to Internet through working WiFi connections
My system is constantly getting bad IP addresses from wireless base stations. Problem started while I'm traveling. At last location, of my three computers my PC would connect, but the two Macs kept having problems. Both worked at first, but then one or the other would get 169. IP addresses. One would seldom connect after restarting. The other would eventually get a good address.
I'm now at location number two. My Mac connected once, but now keeps getting bad IP addresses. Two PCs are working here, and so is another Mac. Restarting, running diagnostics, resetting the modem, and trying to renew the DHCP lease are all not working. Very frustrating.
I launched iChat on both Macs but mine can't see the other Mac. My Mac says I'm connected to the network, but can't surf the internet. Tried to manually enter IP numbers but that didn't work either.For clarity, the 169. addy is not bad, it's self assigned, as is usual when it can't find any being handed out.
