Does SAP GUI 7.10 include Web Dynpro client?

Hi all,
I want to try out Web Dynpro client, My SAP GUI version is 7.10, I can't see the web dynpro client component when install SAP GUI,  and can't see the web dynpro application in logon ui too. Seem to Gui7.10 does not include web dynpro client. I search forum can see SAP GUI 6.40 include a beta version of web dynpro client, but the download of Web Dynpro Client was not work.
Does anyone kown if the Web Dynpro Client can be integrated in Sap Gui 7.10 ? Or it was still in beta version not be released official.

  • In ESS we are getting SAP GUI screens instead of web screens??

    Hi,
How the problem has come up---
We have transferred the production data and OS into test server and changed the test server IP address to production IP address after shutting down the production server.
Which means that now ITS/ESS will be pointing to the new copied server. After this when this new server was shutdown and old production was started the ESS/ITS points back to the original production server.
Now the problem is that When we execute any transaction from ESS we are getting SAP GUI screen instead of Web screen.
Can somebody tell me why this is happening.
Any pointers to this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Varun

First off...what version are you on (backend)? Also, how did you "switch" your ITS instance?A little more info and we will solve this for ya. =)

  • SAP EU software component for Web Dynpro SP9

    Hi all,
I've followed the tutorial on how to create a Web Dynpro Callable object and couldn't go further because I couldn't find the libraries needed in the Local DC (caf/eu/gp/api/wd) api's.
I've found the Blog from Andre Truong on how to retrieve this API's in your Local Development Component projects (SP7).
    /people/andre.truong/blog/2006/06/26/working-with-the-apis-of-caf-guided-procedures-nwdi-or-local-development
Unfortunally this is only working for SP7 (And maybe SP8) but not for SP9.
In the blog Andre mentioned that this problem might be resolved with SP9 because the API's come as default with the IDE.
This appears not to be the case for me.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
PS I also read the following thread and the reply from Tomas Kuba but that seems to be a difficult and dirty way to do it?
Re: Guided procedures & WebDynpro (SAP-EU software component)
    Thanks in advance!

Ok, seems to work just fine for SP 9 also.
Only the folders eu and gp don't excists. Just create them and extract the zip files.
    Great blog thanks!

  • Executing SAP GUI Script From a Web Page

I have an issue when trying to execute some javascript (sap gui script) from a webpage.
When the javascript is executed I get the message:
automation server unable to create object.
However, this exact same javascript when placed in a text file and double-clicked executes just fine through the windows scripting host.
Does anyone have an example of gui script code executing from a webpage?  Or any ideas on why it isn't working from the webpage?  Both scenarios should be executing the code on the local machine through WSH.
Below is the javascript as well as the webpage executing the javascript:

    Hi Bernd,
the following code works in VBS. If you run saplogon.exe you'll get a message box saying '/app'.
    Set Wrp = CreateObject ("SapROTWr.SapROTWrapper")
    Set SapGui = Wrp.GetROTEntry ("SAPGUI")
    Set application = sapgui.GetScriptingEngine
    MsgBox application.id
I haven't tried it on a web page, but I don't see why it shouldn't work there. Ok, maybe the MsgBox is command is not available.

  • Conversion from SAP R/3 system to web dynpro abap.

    hi,
Can anybody provide me with information on what all objects can be converted from an SAP R/3 system to a web dynpro ABAP application, nd hw??.

    Hi Girish,
I don't understand your question completely. Is your question related to the Internet Transaction Server? If it is a Web Dynpro question, I can move this thread to the Web Dynpro forum. What do you think?

  • Make BP Contact Sap GUI fields Available in Web UI

    Good day,
I would like to make two fields available in the WebUI that are displayed in the SAP GUI in transaction BP
The two fields exist in the BP - Contact
When accessing txn BP, select a customer, select Relationships, double click "Has contact Person" under Relationship to BP.
"Contact person relationship display; General Data" displays. On tab for General data we see the following screen -
If I select one of the two highlighted fields, it has search help. For e.g. clicking on the search help for Function displays the following -
In the Web UI, neither of these two fields are available.
There are two fields available for Department and Function, but I think they are linked to the two fields under "Address Data" as seen in the first image. These are input fields in the GUI side and on the WebUI side.
I can find 3 available fields for Function and two for Department in the WebUI.
All of these are input fields.
I think it is to be noted that we are working with an ECC backend.
The requirement is that when the customer is created a Function and Dperatment are entered by search help and not an input field or free texts.
This will enforce standardisation for functions and departments of contact persons.
How do I make these two fields highlighted in the first image available in the WebUI?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Kendal

    Hi Kendal,
These are available in 'Contacts' AB in Account OVP. You are right in saying that there are many fields with name 'Function' and 'Department'.
Click on 'Show Configurable Areas' in Account OVP, and then select 'Contacts' AB.
In the resulting screen, select 'Show Technical Details'. Select 'Structure.Function' and 'Structure.Department' from 'Available Fields' and move them to 'Displayed Fields'.
The fields already present in 'Displayed Fields' are Structure.FunctionName and Structure.DepartmentName, you can mark them 'hidden' to avoid confusion.
Once you move the 'Structure.Department' and 'Structure.Function' fields, the relevant values can be seen in the Assignment Block as shown below:
These fields are displayed as value help and will take values which you maintain under SPRO - SAP xRPM - Base System Interfaces - SAP HCM - SAP xRPM System Customizing for SAP HCM - SAP Business Partner - Business Partner Relationships - Contact Person - Define Functions

  • Search Help works in SAP GUI but not in WEB UI - CRM

    Hi,
I have created a Search Help for creaing Complaints w/ref to Invoice and in the search help i have used standard data elements, so that it brings the standard Search Helps for the fields in the actual Search Help. I get the F4 values in the standard screen (CRMD_ORDER) in the SAP GUI, however i dont see the Searh Help values in WEB UI.
Is there anything else i need to do for me to get the F4 option in the Web UI as well?
    Thanks

  • Calling a Standard SAP transaction VA03 from another web dynpro application

    Hi All,
I have a requirement wherein I need to call the standard SAP transaction VA03 whenever a sales order is selected in some other we dynpro application so that the sales order gets displayed.
No regarding usage of OBN for the above functionality I have certain queries:
    1. In order to call VA03 do I need to create a transactional iview for it or is there any direct method. Also how to pass this sales order number as parameter to the T.Code.
    2. Can we use standard business object BUS2032 for OBN or a new Business object is created. What exactly is the purpose of these standard business objects in portal and when should they be used.
    Thanks in advance
    Aman Gupta

Hi Aman - Do you have a portal team in your project or you have to create the IVIEWS yourself?
I do have a portal team and I dont know how they create the IVIEWs but for example, I will go to my portal team and I will ask them to create an IVIEW for TCODE VA03, they will created and they will tell me the input parameters they entered for the IVIEW so I can call OBN and display in webdynpro.
SAP in SRM has webdynpro e.g. for BUS2121 and they have an IVIEW already implemented in the portal context pointing to the webdynpro of BUS2121 so we can used the IVIEW by calling OBN and passing the parameters; in my case the object_type will be 'shc' and the operation will be 'display' and the paremeters itab will be the GUID of my shopping cart, that way the OBN can understand which Shopping cart open and in which operation mode.
I also did something like your requirement, I need it to display a specific case in Records Management but SAP has a standard IVIEW for records management 'RMREGEDIT' that didn't work for my requirement so I went to SE38 created a program that displayed the case based on GUID and I created a TCODE of my custom program. Portal team created a custom IVIEW of my custom TCODE and they told me the input parameters to call the TCODE in OBN and I pass in the itab parameter the GUID of the case using the FM that I post before.
The action to call the OBN is in the event handler ON_CLICK of my ALV and the action is getting trigger when the user actually clicks a HYPERLINK in the ALV.
    Hope this helps you!
Please feel free to ask me more details if you need.

  • Fetching SAP R/3 table in web dynpro application

    Hello All
I ve a group in portal. This group have member users stored in sap r/3 table.
Now i have a requirement that whenever changes are made in sap r/3 table i.e. either adding of users or removing of users from table, these changes should automatically get reflected in Portal.
I should use rfc for accessing the table, but what code so that depending upon user-id, changes should reflect in Portal????

i did it on my own

  • Can't connect to a SAP backend system via portal/web dynpro/JCo destination

    Scenario:
Can't successfully set the JCo destination.. Always got a Java exception..
    Solution:
Use the router string "/H/sapserv3/S/3296/H/", instead of
    "/H/sapserv3.wdf.sap.corp/S/3296/H/".
This looks like a bug in portal NW2004s SP9.

Sorry for the delay, but I was not able to get access to this system until this afternoon.  I ran the ARP command you suggested on the server, and it did return the correct IP and MAC address values for the problem workstation.
I then ran IPCONFIG/displaydns on the server.  There was a record there for the problem workstation.  The "record name" matched the machine name correctly.  However, the "A <Host> Record" value was for the wrong IP address (192.168.1.4
rather than the actual workstation IP of 192.168.1.7).  This could certainly explain why I am not able to RWA/RDP to the machine by name, although I can make an internal RDP connection via IP address.
Could you please tell me what I need to do to repair this problem?  Should I run IPCONFIG/flushdns on the server?
    Thanks again for your assistance.

  • Does this version of Firefox include web browsing at the "User Agent" category or higher?

Do I have that with what I just downloaded? Need to know ASAP.

Firefox 5.0.1 '''is''' higher than Firefox 2.0.0.12.

  • SAP GUI call from Web Dynpro Abap

    Hi all,
I heard about the possibility to call the SAP GUI directly from my Web Dynpro Abap Application, so that the GUI is integrated in my web browser. But i could not find any information about that.
    Maybe you can help me.
    Thanks,
    Johannes

    Hi Johannes,
Its not possible to directly call your R/3 GUI from your WDA. You can try the "Screen Design Time Conversion" tool in SAP. You can go through this [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/30/f2156a26fb4b4d86c5b0ce9f86bfb3/frameset.htm] for further details regarding it.

  • Best place to begin design of old HTML pages with Web Dynpro

I am new to web dynpro (and the Netweaver environment).  I just took the EP150 course so I have an idea of how to create pages with both Visual Composer (although I doubt I'll use that much) and in java projects in NWDS.
My first application is to be an online purchase requisition application to replace one written in Lotus Domino (this will NOT be integrated with R/3- we will have a seperate DB for these documents outside of R/3).  I have taken the HTML main page from that application and coded it as a JSP but I am getting the impression that the overall design/coding may be simpler if I do the project as a web dynpro.  I want to find some sort of a primer that describes the various controls that go on the web dynpro view in order to figure out how I can take my HTML design and bring it into a web dynpro project.  Can anyone point me to a resource that does this?  I've checked the help and SDN and not found anything that is too helpful yet.
Can anyone tell me if it would be worthwhile for me to attend the JA310 Web Dynpro course?  I have done a couple of the tutorials posted on SDN for web dynpro but haven't done much else with it as of yet.
    Thanks.
    Dana

I don't know such a migration guide, but here are some general remarks:
The Web Dynpro programming model does not use tag-libs, markup, scripting etc. as you might have used in JSP or BSP applications.
Instead, you create your view layout using the NWDS view designer (or the runtime API) and place UI elements like tables, input fields etc. inside containers.
Containers have layouts (e.g. MatrixLayout, RowLayout, FlowLayout) and UI elements placed inside a container have layout data for setting individual layout constraints. This is similar to programming in non-Web frameworks like Java Foundation Classes (Swing).
The UI elements get their data from the view controller context by data binding. There is a hierarchy of controllers (view, custom, component) and the corresponding controllers may be mapped, giving an automatic data flow through the controller hierarchy.
The complete details of markup (e.g. HTML), client-side scripting, CSS etc. is provided by the client-specific framework part and the application is completely shielded from these technical details.
This has the additional benefit that a Web Dynpro application can be run on completely different clients without change.
Example: If tomorrow it will be hip to run your business application inside some other UI technology, e.g. Adobe Flex, SAP will provide a new Web Dynpro client and all Web Dynpro applications will run without change inside this  environment. (Replace Adobe Flex by any other relevant framework).
Compare this to a programming model, that directly uses HTML, Javascript etc. Good luck rewriting several thousand user interfaces!
So in your concrete use case, look at your UIs from such a perspective and identify the Web Dynpro concepts. This should help in the migration process.
