Does SCSM 2012 R2 supports reporting in fim 2010 r2?

Hi Everyone,
I have a scenario where i am configure fim reporting with SCSM and i have the fim version of 2010 r2 and scsm 2012 r2 ?It would be great if u provide me the information
I have ran the powershell script on on datawarehouse successfully
I have ran the initial sync and incremental sync successfully
while running ETL script of Add Snapins its tell me this is not installed on the machine i am still seeking an answer to fix this issue?

Although its not specifically listed below, can we deduce SCSM 2012 R2 will be supported by MIM 2015?

Hi All,
Though we use SCSM 2012, the FIM 2010 Reporting (R2 SP1) installation throws the alert to run
KB2561430 hotfix (when run throght console) and above error (when run through commnad line).This is actually a bug and MS have fixed that in one of its FIM hotfix rollup. I could move out of the above error by applying the FIM hotfix mentioned
in the below link.

Does SCCM 2012 R2 supports PXE boot from Unix DHCP servers.
The client has DHCP on Unix servers. There are no Windows DHCP servers in the environment. Do we need Windows DHCP server for PXE boot.

You can use any modern DHCP server in your environment. DHCP is just used to help point the BIOS/Network Card to the right server, which in this case is your ConfigMgr Distribution Point with PXE Enabled.
It is strongly recommended to use IP Helper Addresses instead of the DHCP options though.

the only way I know is manage the attribute descriptiona s a property and then enable the pivot table option "Show properties in tooltip".
But I'm interested in what you mean with "using
"OLAP pivot table extension" is an option". How this works?

SCSM 2012 - Business services reporting

When reporting on business services I go to the ConfigItem Cube
When I look at the ServiceDim there is an option for 'Business Detailed Descripion'. This is always blank when I report on it.
When I set up business services in SCSM 2012 I do not see a field called 'Business Detailed Descripion' - where should i enter this information in SCSM 2012 so that I can add it to my report?

Hi Tamrep,
If you open Business service in the Authoring Tool and you explore in the class properties, you will see the "Business Detailed Description" field.
But this is not by default available in your form. If you want, you can add this field with the Authoring tool to the business service form and make it available.

Installing FIM Reporting in FIM 2010 R2 with SP1

I tried to install the Reporting component. I have FIM 2010 R2 with SP1 and SCSM 2012. I get a error saying I have to install the KB2561430. This is apparently a hotfix for SCSM 2010 SP1. I thought that FIM R2 with SP1 supports SCSM 2012 as written:

Supported platforms in FIM 2010 R2 Sp1

I have FIM 2010 R2 Syncronization Server running on Windows 2008R2 OS. The available Galsync connectors that we have are Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010. The FIM sync server runs on Exchange 2010 environment but in order to fulfill the requirements of establishing
a connector with Exchange 2007 we followed the reference "http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/3457.fim-how-to-export-to-an-exchange-2007-server-with-synchronization-server-in-an-exchange-2010-domain.aspx"
to install Exchange 2007 EMC on the FIM Sync server. Now we have a new connector lined up to be added on our FIM server which is running on Exchange 2013 environment. I need to know how can we perform an upgrade from FIM 2010R2 to FIM 2010R2 SP1 without breaking
the existing configuration especially with the connectors running legacy Exchange (2003 and 2007).

Does rmpb 2012 15" support 4k?

I've read on some Apple discussions that rmbp 2012 15" actually supports 4k@30hz through hdmi (3840x2160@30hz).
macbook pro 4k TV UHDTV
Could anybody confirm that? I'm planning to buy a 4k monitor and I would'nt like to find out that it will not ever work.

Reports for FIM 2010 SSPR

Hi,
I am looking to draw reports on SSPR to show the ROI etc.
Is this possible and any pointers
e.g.
How many users have registered
On which date did the user register
How many users have used the password reset functionality successfully. (Successfully reset their AD password)
Date when the user reset his password (if used)
How many resets were done on a day (e.g. today)
Any other useful report on SSPR that might be available

You can use Powershell data provider for SQL reporting services - http://psdpe.codeplex.com/- and then make reports based on requests in your FIM instance. FIM powershell module might also be handy:

If you don't want to use SSPR you can still use FIM Powershell to export data and present it as you want.

Trying to Perform an install of SCSM 2012 SP1 - SQL Analysis Services Not Installed

I'm performing a clean install of System Center Service Manager 2012 on a Windows 2012 server. The prerequisite checker told me the Analysis Objects were not installed. I clicked the link and downloaded the SQL Server 2008 R2 Analysis
Management Objects. I restarted the install and it still says it's not installed. I also tried installing the 2012 version of the objects and still no luck.
I also tried installing both the x86 and x64 versions of these tools.
I have also tried the same install on a Windows 2008 R2 server and had the same error. I'm convinced this is a bug in the setup.
Has anyone else seen this? Is it a known issue?

Try to check the log file SCSMSetupWizardxy.log under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp
perhaps it could not load Microsoft.AnalysisServices.dll assembly.

can you confirm if that assembly exists in the Assembly folder.
on a side note: SCSM 2012 SP1 supports 2008 R2 SP1 or above, and double check that the account you are using to install the SM is a local admin.

FIM Reporting ETLScript PowerShell Script for SCSM 2012?

Hi,
The FIM Reporting Deployment Guide is great, however on a few occasions it forgets to mention where you meant to execute things (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj133855(v=ws.10).aspx) .
For example, if it wasn't for the screenshot in the article, we would not have known that we need to run the ETLScript from the FIM Service/Portal server.
Everything until the ETLScript has thus far worked; and we have deployed the Service Manager 2012 console on the FIM Service/Portal server (since we are using SCSM 2012 for FIM Reporting).
However, it appears that the ETLScript (in the deployment guide) has been written for SCSM 2010.
So, has Microsoft or anyone published an updated SCSM 2012 ETLScript script?

FIM 2010 R2 SP1 Reporting ETL Process for SCSM 2012 R2?

Hi,
First question: is FIM 2012 R2 SP1 Reporting supported on System Centre 2012 R2 or only System Centre 2012? I have followed the MS FIM Reporting deployment guide, and everything seems to work, except the ETL process (2nd question below)
Second question: if it is supported, than how do we get the ETL process defined here (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj133844%28v=ws.10%29.aspx) to work with these versions? The powershell script provided doesn't work on SC 2012 R2.
Third question: how do we force the whole process so we can view data in the FIM Reports? as at present there is no data in any of the reports even after I manually ran these SCDW jobs: Extract_dw_SCSMServer, transform.common, load.common

Although it could work, if not officially announced as supported - it is not "officially" supported, so you're deploying it on your own risk and MS won't help you if any problem occurs. Please be aware of that.

FIM 2010 R2 SP1 with SCSM 2012

I know that FIM 2010 R2 SP1 now claims support for SCSM 2012. FIM Reporting allows us to use a free copy of SCSM / DW for just the purpose of reporting services. Does this only apply to SCSM 2010 or does this include SCSM 2012 as well? I just want to make
sure that we don't install SCSM 2012 assuming that it's free when in reality only SCSM 2010 is free. This issue came about because SCSM 2010 did not require a product key, but SCSM 2012 does.

Reporting Tab is not showing in SCSM 2012 SP1 Console

I'm working with SCSM 2012 SP1. But after installing data ware house only "DataWareHouse" tab appares no "Reporting" tab. And it shows below MSG:
And only the below reporting management pack are available in the Data Ware House >> Management pack area.
I already check data warehouse server 'System Center Data Access Service' and 'SQL Server reporting Service', borth are running. But still 'Reporting' tab is not there.

At last I solve the problem. THere is 2 solution for resolve the issue.
Force start all warehouse job.
Un register and reregistared DataWareHouse againg.
In my case I do the borth after reregister datawarehouse I wait 1hr after that I manualy start the warehouse jobs. And it works for me.
