Does Siri talk back?

On iPhone 4S, using voice control - does the phone "speak" to and interact with you or does it purely follow a logical command structure?
What does it do if it doesn't comprehend what you said?
... I just may order one if it looks like I can get enough for my current iPhone 4, AND the 4S will talk ... I think I like the idea of having a "H.A.L" in my pocket

Not sure if siri talks back or not. The old voice controls used to just double beep at you.
Your comment about HAL is interesting. Steve Jobs (God rest his soul) was quite open about the fact he always wanted a Triqcorder (Star Trek hand-held). Siri on an iPhone is about as bloody well close as we're going to get any time soon
I remember seeing the Siri accouncment and think "he got his wish" ironic really considering todays news.
The world will be a duller place without him thats for sure

Siri does not support Spanish (yet). Just ask Siri "What can you do?" for a list of functions she can perform. Maps, phone, texting, email, web search, etc. Maps actually won't work outside the U.S. for doing a business search.

Purchasing iCloud storage will not help you. You are out of memory on the physical device itself. You can try a reset (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If the Apple appears, the reset is successful, and your Home screen will display shortly.
Don't waste your money purchasing additional iCloud storage. It won't help you.
Instead, go to Settings>General>Usage, and under the Storage section at the top, see what is taking up so much memory. If you need to delete some Apps, click on the App in this screen and it will take you to a screen that will allow you to delete it. Then you can just click the back arrow at the top to return to the Usage screen and select additional Apps to delete.
If your photos are taking up a lot of room, then import them to the Mac or PC you sync with. Once you have verified they have successfully imported, you can then safely delete them from the device.
If your Mail or Messages is taking up a lot of memory, delete any mail or messages that contain videos. They take up a ton of room.
That's about all you can do to get your memory consumption down. Check that screen and manage what you have on your device.

TS4079 Siri is not picking up my voice and Siri is not talking back after ios7 upgrade. .?

I have tried to use Siri after upgrading to ios7 and now the ring just spins with suggestions of what to ask , but Siri does not pick up my voice and Siri does not speak back.
I have internet connection , I have done a phone reset etc etc , it was working fine before the upgrade , any ideas please.?
Also have the language set to uk english ..
Upgrade to iPad 4 worked fine , just the phone. (Iphone5)

ok, got the same problem! here is what i tried and found out:
ok, now i tried again a factory reset and it didn't help...
Also tried a reset with restoring from an icloud backup! Didn't help...
Switching Siri off an on, didn't help
Switching off Siri and reseting the iPhone (holding down the power- and the homebutton till Apple logo) and then switching back on, didn't help...
Using Siri with the headset, working!
Using raise to speak option working also! So only the Homebutton activation does not work!
Called the support, the answer is: Buy a 35 € protection plan or help yourself...

Try a reset. Reset the iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are trying to use your MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt Display in closed clamshell mode (MacBook Pro closed), but sometimes the display doesn't stay on. I found an article that talks about closed clamshell mode. You would have to fulfill the following requirements to use your display this way:
Requirements for closed display mode:
Power adapter
External keyboard, mouse, or trackpad
External display

BT has noting to do with Siri unless you are using a BT headset's mic to talk to Siri.

Does Siri have some sort of A.D.D. issue with the new IOS 7.0.3? I keeping repeating a command and 1) she takes longer to respond & 2) she answers with an irrelevant response. She use to be an auditory learner but now Apple needs to provide some sort of I.E.P. to get her to process. Seriously, what happened to Siri? Siri WILL work on "The New iPad" and it will have many of the new features in iOS 6. The iPhone 4S gets more features, but still the iPad 3 will get a healthy chunk. Unfortunately, users like me on my iPad 2, and other people on iPad 1 (who doesn't even get IOS 6) and iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod 4th Gen, don't Get Siri AT ALL and probably won't get it (fingers crossed though!

Why Does Siri Sound Funny?

Something funny has happened recently...
Basically two (negative) changes have happened to Siri. It doesn't affect the functionalitiy but nevertheless, they're still bad.
1. Siri has started sounding robotic - currently I am using the british male. Before it sounded fine, but know it sounds scary and robotic.
2. Sometimes when I ask Siri a question, about 1/10 times, the voice goes all slurred and slow - it sounds like Siri has had a stroke.
Has anyone else had any problems like this?
Just to clarify, I am not talking about Siri taking a while to respond.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi all..... finally.. problem solved.
I too had this problem with Siri'S voice sounding "woolly"
I went to the apple store and they too were at a loss.
So I went home and worked it out for myself.
In short, when the phone puts a Load on the processor such as a download or backup, it causes the voice to loose clarity. Once the downloading or backing up is complete dear Siri is back to it's clear old self. I do hope this helps.

If you purchased it from Apple within the last 14 days then you can return it for a full refund. otherwise no. If you purchased it elsewhere you have to check with them.

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.
