Does Smartsound have royaty-free music?

I wanted something more than the 10 little music clips that come with Adobe Premiere Elements 11 so I downloaded the Smartsound. I thought it would have some royalty-free music but as far as I can tell it is just a fancy music production tool called Sonic Fire Pro 5. Am I missing something?

SmartSound has a vast library of Royalty Free music. Sonicfire Pro 5 is just a software interface for using the SmartSound music.

I guess then this is a serious shortcoming of iTunes... Up till this point I owned an RCA Lyra MP3 player and it had no problems whatsoever doing these things. I guess, after seeing how iTunes and iPod works, I'd rather return to Lyra if it had an 80 G version. The only thing that still keeps me with iPod is the capacity.
It seems like that iTunes is a very cumbersome program and it tries to be so much user friendly that it even tries to eliminate the human element. Sometimes, it makes sense to keep files organized in specific manner. Especially when there is work involved and productivity.
I guess I will just delete everything from the play list and read in the main folder every once in a while, leaving the machine working on it during the night or something, then another night, it will refresh my iPod. That's the only solution I see right now.
It is interesting that a huge program like iTunes cannot do what a small one like Lyra can. And I even read in user groups that some people created programs for this problem, but those programs don't work with iTunes 7 well yet, so I am stuck with the manual updating or the brutal deletion and re-reading.
Thank you for the answer. At least I know what not to expect from the program. I just use it for only one purpose: load music onto iPod, then forget about it. It quite an unuseful program for me otherwise.

I created a disk image about 451 MB, it an Audio Disk. When I try to write the image to a blank Memorex CD-R 700 MB I get the message: "The disc inserted does not have enough free space".
When I created the image I used the disk utility and followed the help file instructions. When I open File> New> I can only select "disk image from folder", the other option is grayed out.

wow, this is my first real disappointment with my MacBook. I can't burn images, technical support didn't get me any further than I already was. I spent half a day trying everything in the world to burn an image with no success.(followed all the help instructions) Now I have to go into the Apple store to have them go through all the same stuff I went through today. Two days of working on this computer to burn a CD with no success.
My guess is that at the end of the day tomorrow I will walk away from the store with no computer because of a malfunction. What a wasted weekend.

I am ready to burn my slideshow on a DVD. The info window in the project indicates that I am well within the parameters to fit on a DVD (4.7 GB). All the gauges are green. However, when I go to burn the disk I get the error message: "Disc inserted does not have enough free space". Looking at the info palette from the Finder window regarding the disk image, I find that it requires 5.8 GB, which, of course, won't fit. How come the iDVD project says I am good to go when I am not?
I have OSX 10.4.11 and work on a G5. I have 53 GB available.

Perhaps you may wish to use Dual Layer DVD-R Media (Verbatim / Maxell) in the event your mac supports this newer media. If not, you can add an ext. FW Burner preconfigured from Lacie or do what I did and build your own:

The only other option that comes to mind for SL as well as DL medias is burning said image with Roxio Toast (fit to disc option).

You may see a warning message when using After Effects CC (12.1) that the GPU accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer does not have enough free memory to operate.
When the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer is disabled, the CPU version of the ray-traced 3D renderer will operate.
The message about the GPU-accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer not having enough free memory to operate is because of a change in After Effects CC (12.1) to actually warn you when your computer was in a dangerously low VRAM state. In After Effects CC (12.0) and After Effects CS6 (11.0), a computer with very little VRAM could still try to use the GPU accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer, but it would very, very, very often crash. So, now, After Effects CC (12.1) is just detecting the condition that would lead to a crash, telling you about it, and disabling the GPU acceleration until you have dealt with the problem.
So, how do you deal with this low-memory condition? You free up VRAM. This means closing all applicaitons that use GPU memory, which includes web browsers (yes, web browsers these days use the GPU). It also means disconnecting additional monitors, each of which uses a lot of VRAM. In some cases, restarting the computer is necessary.
This is primarily a problem on Mac OS with cards with 1GB of VRAM, such as the GT 650M in the MacBook Pro. These cards on this OS have just barely enough GPU memory (VRAM) to make use of the GPU-accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer under even the best of circumstances. If you want to use the GPU-accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer, you should really be using a more powerful GPU, one with more VRAM.

i have the exact same problem but with my new macpro with renderay no matter what i do even a simple 3d extraction the renderay crashes! My cuda is full up to date and everything not sure why! if you have any way to resolve this issue would be awesome and help us out since i am on a deadline! at the moment!

My daughter has the App titled Free Music Download -
I want to know if anyone else knows if the app ties into the iTune account info?
we noticed that there are numerous iTunes charges that appear to correlate to her downloads from this App?
anyone have similiar experience or know anything about entering your iTunes account when setting up this App?

I don't see anything in the app that indicated that it has in-app purchasing, so I can only guess that the charges are coincidental, perhaps in-app purchases from another app. Sign into your daughter's iTunes Store account and look at her purchase history. That should tell you what the charges are for:

DFSR Error that the server does not have Adequate free space. But it does.

Hi, I have a 3 memeber DFS replication group on Windows 2008 R2 servers. On one of members replication stopped and the Health diagnostics report states that there is not enough disk space on the drive to replicate. But there is. It
replicates to the other member with much less free space. I have increased the staging quota after running the caculation command in Power shell to determine the largest 32 files. There is pleanty of free space. I have restarted the
DFS service and restarted the server. I have created a new Replication group on the same volume and it works fine.
Any Ideas?

It will only copy the changed data to sync all files when re-add the failing member server back to the replication group. If the changed data is very large, you could do a robocopy to copy the changed data, then re-add the failing member server back to the
replication group.
You could refer to the article below to know some considerations when re-add a member server back to a replication group.
After you re-add a member server to a DFS replication group in Windows Server 2003 R2, initial replication does not occur on the member server, and changes in the replicated folder are replicated unexpectedly to other replication partners

Inserted DVD+R DL Does not have enough free space

I am trying to burn a Disk Image that is 6.9 GB to a DVD+R DL 8.5 GB using Disk Utility but I keep getting the error message that there is not enough free space. I have inserted a few different blank discs and I keep getting this error message. Using 10.5.6 Superdrive with iMac. All I can think of is the Disk Utility is not recognizing the DVD as a DL, or possibly I need to convert the Disk Image to something I don't know about or use iDVD. Please advise. Thanks.

How much free space do you have on your hard drive? To burn a 8.5 GB disc you would need at least 8.5 GB free on the hard drive. Usually you need twice that (17 GB).

Disk Utility reports DVD disc does not have enough space

I am trying to create backup DVDs of some valuable data using my Macbook
I have used Disk Utility to create a disk image of the original DVD. When trying to burn the image to the blank DVD (4.7GB DVD-R), Disk Utility reports: 'The disc inserted does not have enough free space'. This occurs for both a disk/disc image of 4.26GB and one of a mere 451MB.
Any ideas on how can I overcome this?
PS: when is a disk a disc and vice-versa? Apple don't seem to know; the spellings above are verbatim.

If you are trying to duplicate the DVD then I suggest trying this:
Duplicate a CD or DVD
1. Insert the DVD/CD;
2. Open Disk Utility, and select the DVD/CD from the left side list (select the DVD/CD icon on top);
3. from the DU File menu select New | Disk Image from Disk 1;
4. Choose to format the disk image as DVD/CD Master, name the disk image and click Save;
5. When the .cdr file is finished select it with mouse and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info and check the box to lock the file;
6. Choose the .cdr file from the left side list, click Burn, and insert a new, blank DVD or CD.
Otherwise I would consider using backup software that can span a backup across multiple optical media such as Retrospect, Toast, etc. You can look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
It's hard to offer more because you really did not provide any detail on precisely what you are doing and how you are trying to do it. More information may enable us to provide better suggestions.

iTunes credits are, for example, if you download a song from the store and it's found to be corrupt - if the track can't be fixed then iTunes support will tend to give you a song credit for a free download.
When you purchase music from the store then any credits that you have will be used first, then any balance that you have (e.g. from iTunes gift cards or allowances), and any remaining amount will be taken from your credit card.
