does Smartview 11.1.1.3 work on Windows 7? I think it is officially not supported.
Anyone with luck using SV on windows 7 and office 2010?
Office 2010 is very similar to Office 2007 (which is supported, I thijnk, by SV 11.1.1.3)

Oh, I just found out that our PC clients are on Smartview 11.1.1.3.0 (build 190). How can I apply patch to upgrade to 11.1.1.3.01 for our server and for our PC? I need the latest patch as we are windows 7 and office 2007 users. Do I need to upgrade both SV client (for PC) and SV server?

Does the Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter work on windows?

I'm planning on buying an Asus G55VW-DH71 gaming laptop, which has a thunderbolt port. I would like to be able to control my PreSonus digital audio mixer with it, and unfortunately, it only has a firewire for connecting to it. So, I would want to connect Apple's Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter into the laptop and the mixer's firewire cable.
Does the adapter work on windows 7/8?
Also - getting a macbook is out of the question.

I have pretty much the same need as you and purchased a HP laptop with Thunderbolt port and Windows 8. I also picked up the Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. I have been unable to get Windows to detect the Firewire side of the adapter. Windows 8 seems to pick up the Thunderbolt controller correctly and shows it as an extension of the PCI express bus.
I have found no set of drivers that I can add that will get the Firewire side to be recognized by Win8. Win 8 should have 1394b drivers native, so I don't know what the problem is. I wish I could get this to work, because I just don't have the option of getting a MacBook for the things I need to do.
Right now the only other Thunderbolt to Firewire option on the horizon seems to be the Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock, but that has 2 problems.... 1, it is still in pre-order and 2, it is ~$300.

I have tried all of the uninstall and reinstalls, upgrades, reset of ipod nano, etc.... Cannot get computer or itunes to recognize ipod nano. Does this device work with Windows 8?

Have never posted on a forum before so a bit nervous - but desperation needs must!
Have followed closely replies to other queries on this Palm forum (and the wonderful work which Wyrenut, SMKranz and many others do - well done chaps!). However can't quite locate the answers that I'm looking for. So please help if you can! Here goes:
Current situation: running PD 4.1.1 on Windows XP/32 bit. Handset is TungstenT which is limping badly and only rarely synced with. So it is the Desktop which is most important.
Migrating to Windows 8.1/64 bit and would like to continue using 4.1.1. Will it work? Any major downsides if it does? Will it sync with the handset if it is ever required - by bluetooth or usb (with the hep of those Acerca drivers)?
If 6.2. is the only option for 8.1 which format should I export Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and memos in? PD 4.1 offers, in addition to the default, several other possibility(csv, text, tab, vcard). Confused about which one is best

Palm Desktop 4.1 does work on Windows 8/64 bit.
I have not updated to 8.1
If I was to buy a new PC with Win 8.1 I would try Palm Desktop 4.1
I have been using it for 3 months with no problems. I have a Zire 72.
I do a USB HotSync using the Aceeca driver.
When you install the Palm Desktop software skip check the internet for updates step.
I have my Windows UAC (User account Control) set to Never Notify.
I set the Palm Desktop/ Properties/Compatibility to Run this program as administrator.
To make Palm Desktop "Run as Administrator" every time in Windows 8/8.1:
Close Palm Desktop, if open. (This is a very important thing to always do when using Palm Desktop, it has been known to lose data when a computer is shut down without closing the program!)
Right Click on the Palm Desktop Icon in the Metro screen, then choose "Open File Location". You will now see the actual file for the shortcut.
Right-click on the "Palm Desktop" shortcut file, then Properties. Now pick the Compatibility Tab at the top.
At the bottom of the Compatibility Tab is a checkbox: "Run this Program as Administrator". Put a check in the box, then click OK to close the window.
I use the Import Export feature in Palm Desktop to Backup my Calendar and Contacts and save in my Dropbox.
I use .dba (Calendar) and .aba (Contacts) formats.
I use PD 4.1 with Vista, Win 7, and Win 8.
I can create a PD Backup on any of these PCs and import it into another PC.
Make sure to select all Contacts before you backup, only the highlighted contacts will be exported.
I use the vCard format to move Palm contacts to my Gmail contacts

Windows 10 is supported in MDT 2013U1. If you are in the Windows Insider program you should be able to get the updated ADK and such. Also there are some caveats:

Instead you decide to patronize me, failing to answer the question. I guess you don't appreciate your customers unless they've bought the latest version. I got news for you, not everyone can afford it. Trying to be a nice guy here and help my friend out and you give me some crap response like that?
It's not unreasonable to hope that the software will work, since if it doesn't that would mean him having to spend an additional $600 above and beyond whatever he spends on the new computer. $600 might be chump change to you, but not to me and not to my cousin.
Furthermore, hundreds of other applications much older than 4.0 have worked with Windows 7 just as well as they did on the OS version they were built for. At the same time there's tons that don't. 4.0 works on XP just fine and there is an XP emulation in Windows 7. That gives me hope that maybe it will work. Maybe it won't.
To answer your question: I-don't-know. That's why I came here. Excuse me Chris Cox for just wanting to ask the community that might know if the software will work before I send my cousin down a costly road.

Keynote application will not work on Windows, its available for Mac and iOS; (for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch).
You can create a Keynote show on the Mac, export it as a Powerpoint file and run that file on Windows.
You can connect Mac computers, iPad, iPhone, and iPod to video projectors, TV, and computer displays.
Mac can connect to Smartboard displays and there is Smartbook software available.

HT3986 Does equation editor in MS Word work with windows 7 on a imac

Just wondering if I buy an iMac and install Boot Camp whether or not all of the MS Office features will work?
For example, my wife needs to use equation editor in MS Word. It's sort of an add in in Word so I need to make sure all of those random features work before I go down this road.

Does the registry fix file "SubInACL" work with Windows XP?

I have been reading many suggestions from the Adobe website as well as the flash player forum to try and fix the problems I'm having with flash player. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the flashplayer 10 software but get an error. Then I read that 10 doesn't work with XP so I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling 9 but get an error. So I thought I'd try the "SubInACL" program to fix the registry but I cannot find a folder name C:\Program Files\Wndows Resource Kits\Tools. The Adobe TechNote doesn't specifiy if this program is for Windows Vista so I'm thinking that maybe it is and that's why I can't find the right folder. Is my thinking correct?

No I do not see Shockwave Flash object in IE8 Tools/ Add-ons. I have seen it in there before so I'm not sure where it went.
Regarding SubInACL, this only helps in cases where you get an error during the ActiveX installation, that Flash10h.ocx could not be registered.

I was just reading another post by yongyoja heading "Flash Player 10.1.53.64 isn't working" and I have exactly the same issues. The only way I can get Flash Player to work at all is to go back to my last system restore point when it was working some of the time and after I do a system restore then Flash Player is there working sometimes. If I uninstall and try to reinstall it doesn't work. Hope this helps. Maybe we can all work together to figure this out.

Submit button with multiple email addresses doesn't work while the same form with one email address does. The multi email version works on windows computer.

I used Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 on Windows XP Home. My hard drive started to fail so I backed up all my files and PASE catalog folders and replaced the hard drive as well as the Operating system.
I am now running the Windows 7 RC (build 7100).
Is anyone currently running PASE 3.2 on Windows 7?
I was hoping to get a confirmation on it's compatibility before I blindly tried to install. If someone was successfully running it on Win 7 RC, I was also hoping for information on how best to install it and setup my files to ensure that my photos are transferred with all tags and date info intact. (what folders to install to, etc.)
