I have videos from a Canon Powershot camera which are in 1280 × 720, H.264, Linear PCM. I can import these videos to iMovie on iPad but when I open iMovie it does not show the files.
I have also tried to import the videos via iTunes Movie Sync. I can play the video on the iPad but can not import it to a new project in iMovie.
Which codecs does iMovie for iPad support? If I can play the movie on iPad, it should be possible to edit it?

iMovie was made to edit video shot on iOS devices; there is no support list, it was made to edit iOS video.
This allows iMovie to be stable (or should make it stable as the case may be).
That said, you are importing the video wrong, and may be in luck with your video.
The File sharing pane is just for importing iMovieiOS projects.
iMovie cannot edit video in the Movies app.
iMovie edits video that can be seen in the photos app.
So you need to import it via the photos tab, as you would photos.
The other option is using the camera connect kit.
If you can see the video in the Photos app, it is highly likely that you can edit it.
But be warned that using non-iOS sourced video can make iMovie very buggy and flakey.
Avid for iPad is made to edit more formats and might be a better choice if you have trouble.

Hello, I'm looking for a free download of Solaris8 (Intel) for free. It seems that only the edition for Sparc is for free... Am I wrong or isn't it possible to have one for free for Intel?
Can somebody give me a URL where I can find it?

Sun does not seem to be providing with downloads of Solaris 8 for Intel anymore. I guess it is in limbo if these will ever become available again, but that's what happens.

HELP ME ANYONE (Solaris8 for Intel on P4)

Hardware = Suns HCL for Solaris8 on Intel.
Mother Bd = Asus, CPU = Intel P4 1.8g, Mem = 512MB, HD = 30 Gigs with 3 partitions of 10 each.
Problem:
I install disk 1, it goes thru the installation steps, then it prompts me to select installation method:
1. Interactive
2. Jumpstart.
I select option1, something happens for a split second, then the pc re-boots, when I re-install the same thing happens again. I have W2K on one partition and the other 2 are FAT32 and empty.

The install procedure is chocking during the video test. I'm trying to install Solaris 8, 01/01
version. I have a SOYO motherboard w/P4 1.8ghz intel processor. The video card is an
NVIDIA TNT2, 32mb which is listed on the Sun HCL. I've got a ViewSonic PF790 monitor.
I ordered the Solaris 8, 02/02 version but not sure this version will make any difference. I'll try the new version when it arrives and purchase a different video card if I continue to have the same results. I just don't have a warm and fuzzy that either of those options will be successful.
Seems like this should be easier.

Does reader for iOS support text reflow?

I have a number of tagged PDFs that I created using Acrobat on a Windows machine, and transferred them to my iPhone. Does Reader on iOS support text reflow so that I can increase the font and read my document? The only option I see is to zoom in, but since it maintains the full page formatting, I then need to "move around" the page to actually read the text. Looking at the full page, the text is too small.

Hi Dennis, how are you going to find out if there is enough demand? Do you think everybody knows what text reflow means? And do you think every person that needs it will create an account (just like I had to do) to comment in this community requesting the feature? Text reflows is such a useful feature that it should be available by default in all smartphone platforms iOS, Windows and Android. I know it is available in Android and that's why I downloaded the app in my iPhone but I was quite disappointed to find out that it is not available on the iPhone. I'm sure that if in the next update of the iOS adobe app text reflow is included (and if you let the public know about it) then a lot more people will download the app. Reading pdf in an screen is not so pleasant but text reflow makes it really easy.

No, the 3D graph in LabVIEW is an Active X control and therefore a
Widnows only feature. If the graphics are not to complicated you may try
to look into drawing your own 3D graphs into a picture control which
would work on any LabVIEW platform. Other than that you would have to
rely on external packages to do 3D graphics under Linux.

When the iPad or iTunes is sending music/video to an AirPlay Output device, it is actually sending the music/video file over to that device to play rather then just sending 2 channels of audio.
For this reason, GarageBand would be a difficult task asnit would need to send up to 10 files (8 tracks and 2 effects) over the network to play in perfect sync.
For this reason, garageBand would not be stable and you would have a large amount of drag.

Does Extract for PSD support smart objects?

I have spent some time exploring Extract for PSD and so far it it fantastic. I can really see this being useful when passing on my PSDs to my developers.
One feature that I would love to see would be support for smart objects. I use smart objects a ton in my web designs. For example when I create the footer I will make it a smart object so that it stays consistent throughout all my layer comps. currently in Extract for PSD all smart objects seem to be flattened. It would be great if my devs could click into the smart objects and access the content within.

You are right that we don't expose this right now. We do have plans to do this in the future soon!

I ran into similar problems and took this as my motivation to develop "AnyFont". With this little app you are able to install all the fonts you need for your documents on your iPhone or iPad. So when your need Tahoma on your iPad you can use AnyFont to install it right away.

Does Firefox for Android support drop-down list?

Some desktop version websites extensively use drop-down list on the navigation menubar. But the annoying thing about this is in current Firefox, I can't find a way to expand the list items only without also triggering the link right onto the caption of the list, thus jumping to the next page immediately. If there's indeed a way around that, how to do it?

Huh, In this case you devs are not at fault here.
That being said, it sounds really ridiculous that you guys made a web browser that can't do anything of a particular desktop function. If you guys want some implementing suggestion, Consider these 2:
1. Hold the Caption link on a dropdown menu, make the context menu appear, add another item at the bottom like "expand the menu" or something akin to that. tap it to expand the menu.
2. Single tap to expend the menu regardless of the link below, tap the same place again to access the link, tap anywhere else aside the menu to retract it.

Burn cd install solaris8 for intel

i try to burn cd install with nero cdrwin winoncd adaptec but it's alway the same thing a cd of 96k and ican't boot with him

I am attempting to load Sol8 7/01 IA on a P3 which is not recognizing my CDROM as the boot device. I have tried what Allen suggested - am booting from the Dev Conf Asst Boot Disk. The 'Solaris Boot Sector - Version 1' comes up, but then I get the error 'Cannot read FAT table.'
Where is it looking for the FAT? Is the problem with the boot disk, the burned Install CD, or my hard drive? Thanks in advance for any thoughts
