Does stabilization work even for the parts with the red squiggly line?
Basically my entire hand held movie shows the red squiggly line after I analyze for stabilization. I drag the clip into my project and the red squiggly line remains. When I double click on the clip in the project, the stabilization box is checked, but there's no place for me to adjust it. Is this image stabilized at all, or am I doing something wrong? I compared it against the unstabilized clip and it basically looks the same. Thanks!
The red squiggly line means that the clip is too shaky for stabilization to help, even with a zoom of 150%. Therefore, the options for controlling the stabilization are greyed out.

When my iphone 4 is not plugged in to headphones the sound does not work, and if I try to adjust the sound with the plus and minus buttons in the side it comes up like normal saying "Ringer" but then there is no bar underneath it. Sometimes the sound will work for a couple of minutes. However, there is definitely no problem with the speaker as the alarm always works perfectly fine.

No. What he should be doing is syncing his contacts to an app on his computer or cloud service, then sync them back to the phone (without restoring the backup).
Never rely on the backup for contacts. The contact info stored there may be incomplete and is only meant to maintain the recent calls and favorites lists. -
Downloaded and installed uCamPro - if found my cams easliy enought but can't get get images to display. UCamPro website lists my cams (WVC54GCCA) as *supported types under Linksys "common" profiles. Anyone have issues? Support is not very quick on replies so far ... still trying with them...

I am new to the Palm (~1mo.) but I was using hotsync with my old laptop which had Windows XP and was not experiencing any real problems. That computer is going bye-bye, I bought an HP with the Vista OS and I followed the directions on downloading the Download Palm Desktop by ACCESS 6.2 from the website but now I can not get my device to sync-- The Desktop computer asks for the appropriate drivers. I tried searching online, on the disk that came with the smartphone and even reinstalling a couple times and everything is dead in the water...
Anyone able to help me out on this?
Is there an additional patch of some sort to download?
Post relates to: Palm m515Just in case it is not clear... that post was made after I bought the bluetooth adapter and tried following the advice provided in the Vista 64 Hotsync solution found! post. Again-- my statement of not working is for the following reasons:
1) my PC tells me that the sychronization completed with errors.
2) when I look at the log that the Backup sychronization aborted.
3) It almost invariably tells me that it Failed to backup 1 file(s) and that file is "NetworkProfiles2" through a "Protocol Error: Unknown error. (6410)"
4) many of my contacts (over half) duplicate during this synchronization.
5) many of my appointments (over half) duplicate during this synchronization.
The information about creating a virtual serial port on my PC comes from my actual palm itself. The palm info is in the HotSynch verbage and it tells me to contact my computer manufacturer. In doing so however they have no idea how to do this and Palm does not either. I am still working with HP on trying to resolve that part of it but I am thinking from the hours of research that Palm wants me to create another COM port but again the help I am finding on this is beyond my pay grade so to speak... you can check out the following link and try to help me if you like:

So... any ideas my friend? It appears that some Vista 64-bit users are having success with a bluetooth synch but I have tried emailing those that claim to have been able to do this with no luck. I am not having any luck (I hope my outline above is clearer)-- and no one has seemed to had any luck recently.
I would love to make this work-- I bought this phone for this functionality.

Only one of my earbuds on my bose headphones works with my ipad, iphone and macbook- if I hold them there the right earbud will work, but for the life of me, I can't get them to both work. Why is this? And is Apple doing anything about this? While Apple's headphones have (finally) admittedly gotten better of late, I still prefer the much more comfortable headphones & sound quality that Bose makes and that I spent the money for.

I am providing the id/password but it displays the message that apple user id has not been used with apple store... what shall I do to make my id work. Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.) -

I copied several MOV files to a CD. When I play them from the CD the video is fine but the audio works fine for the first few seconds then stops (using Qicktime Player 7.7.1. Everything works fine if I use VLC Media Player. Does anyone have any idea why?
My purpose for copying to a CD or DVD is so that I can make copies and send to friends and relatives. What is the best way to get these files on a CD/DVD with the right codecs?
The easiest thing to do is to simply tell your friends and relatives to copy the files to their local hard drive before playing them. Your basic problem is that data discs have a limited real time transfer rate. Since you say VLC plays the files fine, I might suspect its player is likely buffering the data while the QT 7 Player is not.
Data discs made for playback directly from the CD or DVD are normally encoded using MPEG-4/AVC (H.264) video with AAC audio. This is a modern codec which has specific settings to re-package the data (i.e., must be encoded using the multipass option and then select the "optimize for CD/DVD" option). -
Why hasn't apple created its own USB or USB adapter for their products.? Since an iPhone or iPad make traveling and doing school work or on the job work, why not create a USB to make transferring information easier too.?
In some folks' version of the world, you have plenty of ways. YOu have the aforementioned services, you have iCloud, all you need is an internet connection and you're good to go. And that works perfectly...if you always have the internet.
If you want more non-internet dependant ways, then the best way to let Apple know is to send them feedback. They don't monitor or respond to this forum (Beyond removing rule breaking posts) but they do at least log feedback. However, the lack of a file manager will always be an obstacle. There are some apps out there that have at least a pseudo file manager - as in the ability to move documents into multiple other apps. I have Readdle Docs which I can use to download and move things around with, but again, back to the internet or wireless. -
I just upgraded my iPhone 3GS to 4.3.5 and my universal doc stopped working with it? It has worked flawlessly for the last year and suddenly I get the message: "this iphone is not optimized for this device." I dismiss the message, but the remote no longer works with it and the music is too quite to the speakers. The remote works fine with my Macbook Pro. I tried a restore on the iPhone and started from scrach, but the same problem exists.
Any help with this?

i have a iphone 5. the volume button going down only does not work. this is my second phone with the same problem. i have had otterboxes for both phones.
Does not work even with the case off. I formatted and rebooted, reset, called apple and sent the last one back. It was free but this is getting old. I have had all iPhones and this is the only one I have had issues.

Stuttered scrolling and size changing
If I use the thumbnail size slide bar at the bottom right corner of iPhoto to change the view of either events or faces or photos within albums it is incredibly slow and stuttered, to the point of it taking several attempts to grab and slide the bar.
