Does System Preferences support brightness control via DDC/CI with Dell Monitors?

I had a Dell 21.5" monitor, which was previously connected to a Windows PC via its DVI port, which has no problem with DDC/CI.
My question is, through Apple's adapter, can I control a non-Apple display within System Prefrences

Does weblogic 12c support beehive controls

Hi ,
we are migrating our weblogic server from 10.3 to 12C , i just import existing project into eclipse(Oracle enterprise pack for eclipse) came with weblogic 12C , it is showing errors on project for shared libraries like beehive controls , weblogic controls ,
Please let us know does WLS 12C support beehive controls ? do we have any solution for this

Apache Beehive is not supported on Weblogic 12c.
Apache Beehive has been deprecated as of WebLogic Server 10.3.
Oracle recommends that you migrate your Beehive applications and infrastructure to other frameworks such as Oracle's ADF or Java Server Faces at your earliest convenience.

10.4.7 Upgrade, No volume/brightness control via keyboard

Hi all,
My 10.4.7 update seems to have passed with minimal problems. The exception is loss of volume and screen brightness adjustment via the keyboard.
Does anyone know from where this problem may be coming? Anybody with similar symptoms?
I'm going to try permissions repair and a reboot.

This fix comes from someone else in this forum and it worked for me. I am just passing it along in the hopes it will solve your issue.
Remove the preferences file, $HOME/Library/Preferences/com.apple.BezelServices.plist
Logout of the system.
I found that I had to logout rather than reboot for the above fix to work correctly.

Why does System Preferences keep trying to launch?

Hi all,
Every now and then System Preferences starts to bounce in the doc (even when I have done nothing to launch it). It then fails to load and stops bouncing.
After this if I try to launch it myself from the doc it does nothing. If I launch it from the apple menu it does laod and a second System Preferences app appears in the doc.
It's all very strange - anyone know why it might be doing this?

No, I don't know why it's doing it, but my first instinct would be to remove the bouncy icon from the dock, open sys prefs from the Apple menu and right click on the new dock icon, choose options>keep in dock.
And see if that cures it or not.

Your question is very confusing ... especially "after 2nd time accessing it using right click on desktop".
"Using right click" -- why would you do that? What are you right clicking?
"On desktop" -- does that mean on a vacant area of your desktop?
Anyway, a quick way to System Preferences is to simply click normally on the System Preferences icon in the dock, which looks like this:

Why does System Preferences continue to crash under 10.7?

I just installed 10.7 and I can't get System Preferences to stay open longer than a couple seconds. I've tried a restart and that didn't help. I'm running 'verify permissions' right now to see if that helps.
Any ideas?

Really more support for getting an answer than knowing how to fix it.
This is happening to me as well. As soon as I try to use anything in System Prefs, the whole thing crashes and wants to send a note back to Apple.
Very frustrating...

I assume you mean the location of the preference pane files. I'm not sure what you mean by "coding." If you're looking for system preferences and where they're stored, the answer depends on what preference you're looking for. Most can be found in your user library: /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Preferences
The panes themselves are located in:
Macintosh HD/System/Library/PreferencePanes
You may also have user-specific preference panes installed. Those reside in: /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/PreferencePanes

Why does System Preferences open on boot?

I have a 27-inch iMac, Late 2012, and I am running OS X 10.9.1.
Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks I noticed that System Preferences opens when I boot the computer. This did not happen before I upgraded. Is there a way to turn this off?

Quit the Sys Prefs app before shutting down. Also, check that you don't have it set to open in login items under Users & Groups.

Why does system preferences crash when changing screen saver?

There are several posts in this same vein, here, but I can't seem to find a specific one.
I had a process that ran and accidently began removing portions of my "user" directory. I used time machine to restore and everything seems fine now.
However, I noticed that after awhile, the screen saver would come up rather than just blanking the screen. I decided this would be ok, so I when to System Preferences-> Desktop and Screen Saver then clicked the Screen Saver tab. I chose one of the screen savers, but didn't like it. But upon re-entering the System Preferences a second time, low and behold, there were NO screen savers listed and the process hung and wouldn't close. I finally had to stop the process from the Activity Monitor, at which point it gave a dump. This has happened about 10 times.
When I go to /System/Library/Screen\ Savers/ there is no content there. Same goes for ~/Lirbrary/Screen\ Savers/. So it looks as if they are gone. I have a Mac Book Pro, however, that behaves the same way (except its running Snow Leopard instead of Lion). So I don't know that's it.
I have run permissions repair and checked the disk and all is well.
I have set System Preferences to not run in 32 bit, as someone suggested, but that didn't do anything either.
I have a 2009 iMac with 4GB and about 3/4th full disk.
Could anyone suggest any more alternatives?

Thanks Linc. I am not really comfortable with the re-install approach I guess, but it may be all I have left. I tried to go back to a previous backup on Time Machine and just replace systempreferences.app but the backup wouldn't let me do that. I have restored library in my home directory but I did so only piecemeal based on things that seemingly got disturbed.
One very odd thing... I left my computer on this morning and came back a little later and lo and behold a screen saver was running. This was a bit of a surprise, seeing that when I go to the system preferences and try to see screen savers, they aren't there and that's when the app hangs. So, apparently the screen savers are SOMEWHERE, but not able to be seen. That's what is killing me. I feel as if its a permission problem, yet when I run a repair-permissions, it finds nothing wrong. The screen saver files are supposed to be somewhere, but I have a feeling they are hidden somehow, and because of that, I can't change anything. The result baffling part is that even in terminal mode, viewing /System/Library/Screen\ Savers/ or the home library folder, shows absolutely nothing in Finder OR terminal mode. So they are either completely gone or hiding. I have to assume the latter, seeing that a screen saver started up.
So if anyone has an idea how these files could be hiding, or where, other than the locations above, that would be a very good thing to know.

For $60 I decided to take a chance on the Korg NanoKONTROL2 and I just received it from Amazon. Downloaded/installed the KORG MIDI driver, then the GarageBand plug-in. Everything seems to work as it should with no messing around.
It is somewhat limited, but gives full transport control and volume/pan for 8 tracks along with buttons for Solo, Mute and Record on each track.The pan knobs feel a little wobbly, but not too bad. All things considered, it looks and feels like a decent piece of hardware considering the low cost.
Maybe this will help someone else who is getting tired of using the mouse and keyboard shortcuts to control basic Garageband functions.

I can still set it as my profile pictures, but i deleted it in the photobooth folder. its still got to be on there somewhere. Where is it?

There is two departments involved in project i.e. one department (Network Procurement) responsible for project accounting and payment of invoices and other department (Network Engineering) is responsible for project monitoring with no cost involvement. In real scenario these two departments do not interact with each other in detail, the only point to integrate is after completion of engineering activity u201CAcceptance testingu201D for the site and after that invoices will be paid by network procurement department.
Is there any control available in the system by which system do not allow payment of invoice / service entry sheet acceptance. After confirmation of activity u201CAcceptance testingu201D should allow invoice processing or payment of invoice.
Is there any standard function available in the system to control the process or the requirement should be met by ABAP development.

Sorry, I made a typo: I meant user-status (not user-exit). It is also possible have user-statusses in place for network activities. You can customize a user status in that way that it is automatically set at creation or release or a lot of other business transactions.
I can't give the correct business transactions: I think blocking FI-postings related to the activity will do the trick. Unfortunately I have no time to do the checking.
