It's actually a part of iOS 5, not the 4s specifically.
The bubble color (and the Send button) change, depending on how your message goes. Messages are blue if sent/recieved via iMessage, or green if by regular SMS/text.

It sounds like you are unable to download and install the iOS software to your device directly because of a prompt saying you do not have enough space. According to the following article, the next thing to do would be to use iTunes to update your phone instead.

If your device doesn't have enough space to download and install the update, you can use iTunes to update your device.
It is also always a good idea to back up your data before updating your software anywhere, whether its an iOS device, or computer:

Welcome to the Apple Community.
There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p.

I believe in iOS 8 Apple may produce a kind of 'peer to peer' wifi without the need for a router - but not sure your Tocuh can run iOS 8...

The iPhone has NEVER had an International Warranty. The warranty terms state, quite clearly, that Apple "may" restrict warranty & support to the country of original purchase. The only exception, are iPhones purchased in the EU, where the iPhone warranty is EU wide.
You purchase an iPhone in Singapore, & you will have to return it to Singapore for all warranty & support issues.
For iPhones out of warranty, Apple has an out of warranty replacement program.

You are really best off in setting it up on the computer that will be used for back ups and itunes. The pad will only respond to a single machine. If you set it up on yours, the first time he goes to update it, it will erase the contents and try to start over.

Could very well be, you could always call the store before hand... in fact, now that you mention it, we have a friend of my wife's on our family plan and at one point she had broken her phone, gotten a new one from another friend and went to the store to activate it herself, so it may not be a problem.

DOES THE IPHONE 6 HAVE AN AUTO ANSWER FUNCTION

I just bought a portable speaker for my iPhone for use in my shop. It is not blue tooth and the phone must be connected to the speaker through the earphone jack. The speaker has an answer function that interrupts the music for an incoming call and a microphone to facilitate hands free usage. The big catch seems to be that I still must push the answer button on my iPhone screen to answer the call. I hope I am missing something. Does the iPhone 6 have an auto answer function?

This seems incredible. How could Apple pass up such a basic function. I don't have a car new enough to integrate with my phone so I just assumed that auto-answer was a common feature in all smart phones. I seem to remember disabling this feature in an LG android phone several years ago. What am I missing?

Purchased music does not count against your iCloud storage and you cannot get rid of them in the purchased tab.
What is backed up
You get unlimited free storage for:
Purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books

This model only has 1 Mpcie slot and it is already occupied by the wifi card.
If you are aiming for using an SSD on the mpcie slot
You can either replace the wifi card with an MSATA SSD or replace the HDD with a 2.5 SSD
