Does the 5th generation ipod nano have bluetooth capabilities?

Does the 5th generation ipod nano have blue tooth capabilities?
Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, the fifth generation iPod nano does not have a built-in Bluetooth chip. The seventh generation iPod nano, introduced in fall 2012, is the only iPod nano as of now that does have Bluetooth built-in.

  • Does the third generation iPod Nano have allot of problems with it?

I was wondering if you think that there is an unusual ammount of defective iPod nanos, or iPod nanos with problems.
I know that forums are mainly a support page, so I'm only going to see posts about PROBLEMS with the iPod, but i wanted some opinions.
Should i wait to buy the new iPod nano, or should i go ahead and purchase?
EDIT: Also, remember when steve annouced that the iPod Video could play songs with no song skip. I think it's called "continuous playback". Can the nano do that?
And last of all, does the nano back scratch as easily as the 1st gen nanos?
    Thanks in advance,

I am on my third Nano3 - the store replaced it without hesitation. This one is (knock on wood) working very well. If you are close to an Apple Store, the risk is low. And they ARE cool!
They indicated that they had not had many returns, so it might have been just a bit of bad luck (after all, it is the 13th iPod in my family, and my 7th...)
I have not tested the gapless play.
I do wish, they had stayed with the Aluminum finish on the back. I never used a cover on my Nano 2, and it looks great. This one has the marring typical of polished SS backs. You can polish it out, of course.

  • Does the 7th generation ipod nano have the same storage capacity as the 4th generation ipod nano

Just bought a ipod nano 7th generation to replace my 16gb 4th generation nano as its battery life is getting shorter
Went to load my library on to my new ipod and it could not take all the songs, wheras my 4th generarion had room to spare
so i have had to uncheck a lot of songs to get my new ipod to accept loading
my guess would be around 300 mb
Is this difference right when they are both rated as 16gb and showing on itunes at keast the same storage capacity?

Need to add I have restored the ipod twice with no change to storage capacity
    'others' is showing
    4th gen    119 mb
    7th gen 136 mb

  • Why does the 7th generation ipod nano not have games

I want to know why the 7th generation ipod nano does not come with:
    1- games
    2- voice memo

    1. The iPod Nano runs the Pixi operating system, not iOS and has too small a screen for displaying the game and controlling it.
    2. Plug in a headset with a microphone: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/ipod_nano_user_guide.pdf page 46.

  • Does my 5th Generation ipod charger have a warranty?

I got my 5th generation Ipod touch not even four months ago and my charger cord that it came with will not charge my ipod unless my ipod is sitting upside down.. It cannot be laying flat or anything to charge. The cord is not bent or opened with wires showing or anything.. Does the cord have a warranty? Thanks.

Yes, the cable is covered by the same 1-year warranty as the iPod.

  • Does the 7th generation iPod classic have a glass screen

does the 7th gen.... ipod  classic have a glass screen an what the average life span with normal everday useage,,,,

It is a glass display and the average lifespan depends on a number of factors such as how often it is used and under what conditions, etc.  I would say 2 - 3 years overall is a very good number for these types of devices, but many users recieve many more years of use than that.

  • 5th generation iPod nano compatibility with Linux?

Why not let the customer choose to use iTunes or not ?
Be able to add individual files just by copying them from any computer (any OS, with or without iTunes installed), and use a filesystem browser on the iPod to select which file to play in which directory.
Only Apple would know the answer to this. However, based on the history of the iPod, it seems unlikely that you're going to see this happen. One of the major differentiating features of the iPod is that one doesn't have to mess with a file system browser, it's all handled automatically by iTunes. Now, that's not to say that everyone is going to like players that work this way. Hence, the continuing market for other brands of players.
Please, release a new iPod firmware supporting this feature.
Again, seems very unlikely as it runs counter to the entire Apple design philosophy. However, if you want to make your feelings known to Apple (as opposed to just the fellow users who are going to be seeing this post), submit your feedback here:

  • I think the dock on my 5th generation ipod nano is broken. Is there a way that i could fix this?

Every time I try to connect my 5th generation ipod Nano to my computer I get a message that says that the device is unrecognizable. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling itunes and I have tried most everything else the Apple Support says to do. I checked my devices on my computer when I had the ipod connected and it said that there was some type of problem with the USB dock on my ipod. other than this I have not had any other problems with this ipod. Is there any way I can fix this without having to get anew ipod?

I have two iPods, one IPod touch from the fourth generation and another one that must be from the first generation iPod nano. Can I trade them both in?
    The Fourth generation- 16GB
    First generation-4GB

Apple does not have a "trade in" program for iPods, other than the recycling program that gives you a 10% discount on a new iPod (at an Apple Retail Store).
    http://www.apple.com/recycling/ipod-cell-phone/
There are some third-party (non-Apple) companies that provide compensation for old iPods.  You can also sell them yourself on eBay.
