No, that's just wasting space. A back up needs to be on a different disk.

For iBooks, that won't show, it doesn't support file sharing. You can add ibooks / epubs / PDFs to your computer's iTunes library (the iBooks app if you are using a Mac with OS X Mavericks on it) via File > Add To Library, and you sync them to a device via its Books tab :
If you want to copy them off the device to your computer's iTunes (to the iBooks app on Mavericks) then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases will copy them over (that will copy PDFs and epubs from the iBooks app on your device, not just ibooks).

How do I find out if my Macbook is infected after I installed a dislike-button Facebook?

Yesterday I installed a Facebook dislike button (very stupid, I know). Today I found out that it's a scam, that enables software to have access to my accounts (passwords, etc.). I deleted the app and blocked it. How do I know if it still has access to my macbook. And if it does, how do I block it?

To check if you have malware, try the following...
In Terminal.app, run:
cat ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist
and
codesign -v /Applications/Safari.app
If you get anything about "DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES" on the first and/or "code or signagure modified" on the second, then you are infected. Any other responses (including none) means you're fine.

Why does the download list keep emptying?

I have set the preference to empty the download list manually. And it used to work fine until a few weeks ago. But now, every time I close Safari, the download list empties and the download button disappears, until the next time I download something

Does the route list gets reset when adding route pattern in version 9 of CUCM?

Hi All,
I created a new route pattern in call manager version 9 and then associated it to an existing route list. But when I was trying to save the route pattern. I was prompted with the message saying " Any updates to this Route Pattern automatically resets the associated gateway or Route List"
I was not able to see this message on CUCM version 8.6 however on CUCM version 9 it is there.
Does that mean that the route list/gateway will be reset and the existing calls will be dropped?
Or is it a bug?

It does pop up when we modify the Route Pattern in CUCM 8.6 too.
If you asociate the GW/Trunk directly to Route Pattern, yes, it will reset them and calls will be interrupted. To avoid that, we need to associate the Route List to Route Patterns.

Where does the approver list fro sc get populated????

It will be really helpful , if some one can guide me. i am using a copied (custom)version of ws10000031 for shopping cart approvals. the standard workflow is for two level approval. there is some problem with this custom workflow now. it is not identifying the rite agents . where should i look for to find out where the approver list is getting populated. I am unable to pinpoint a place where the agents are being identified. moreover for two level approvals, i cannot see the second approver name inthe cart status.
also even after switching on the event trace , i cannot see any event getting triggered inthe trace but i c workitems generated.is this common??
help would be appreciated.

Thanks for ur reply, but i had already done those steps .as i said i am using a copied version of the wf so i have assigned it to an expression &agent_0001.agent& and &agent_0002.agent&. that is what is there in the standard workflow too. my problem is i want to know where this container element is getting populated, since i am going to modify this workflow, i need to know this information. i have tried many different approaches but still cannot find it. it will be great if u can tell me whether this happens in any BADi or it happens inthe bsp code or where ???
or is it the adhoc agent assignment where this agent assignmetn is taking place?
because i can see the approval list inthe approval preview inthe cart status screen. i am wondering where and when this apporoval list is being generated???

Where does the preference list for Safari reside

The Safari I use on my MBP 10 on this computer works like a charm (knock on wood) but on my MBP 07 it can not even remember how to open a local file when it loads and regardless of how many different thing I have tried it refuses to remember the preference I have set, so I'm suspecting that the preference are not being saved in the preference list, so I'm wondering where it is and is ut safe to edit or delete?

Home/Library/Preferences
Look for
com.apple.Safari.plist
com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
Also:
Home/Library/Safari/ folder and remove the following two files:
history.plist
lastsession.plist
And
Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/ and remove the contents of that folder.
(These are just webhistory files and are not required for Safari to run. However, similar to preference files, problems can arise if they have become corrupt.)
Locate the cookies.plist file that's located in the Home/Library/Cookies/ folder and remove it.
They will all be recreated next time you launch Safari.

Why does the update list not clear after the app update with the new 7 system?

Can I clear the update list, it is getting full, from all the updates. It say open only when I do it is still there. Help please.

Easiest way to clear list is; go to settings>general>date and time and set date manually to a point at least one month in the future (I set mine to two months ahead) and then open App Store and check for updates. The list should now be clear. This is just an update history list. When finished just turn on auto date/time or set it back manually if you like and list should still be clear. If you do nothing the updated apps should start to drop off the list in about two to three weeks.

Why does the server list in mail not contain the details of the icloud server

When I check the preferences in mail for my email accounts, the icloud smtp server called "iCloud (iCloud)" shows as a choice for the outgoing server. When I click the drop down box there it's in the list. If I then click edit server list the next dialogue box that comes up shows all the possible outgoing servers except the icloud one. Does this mean that the account for my .icloud address will not use the icloud smtp server even though on the account dialogue it shows as being selected.

It does not mean that, the Apple server will be used if you check 'Use only this Server'

How does the wish list work?

I was looking thru the songs that I can buy and sellected several and put them in a wish list. Now I can not find the "WishList". I would like to download all of the songs that I listed.

If you move your cursor over the area to the right of your account name (upper right corner), you should see a drop down arrow. You can select Wish List from that list. You should also be able to find it, I believe, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the iTunes Store window. I think there's a link there, too.

I have a long list of albums, songs and TV shows to buy, and I added most of them to the wish list, however when I checked the list, I found far less items than I know I added...!
Does the wish list accept a certain number of items only? Or is there a problem?
I mainly attempted to use this function to estimate the amount of store credit I need for my purchases!!!

Is is possible that if the item is no longer available then the item could have been removed from your Wish List.
Go back and see if that item is still available to see if that is what is happening.

According to teh Adobe site, the Video button action should be functional:
