Does the Adobe suit for Mac also work on windows computers?

I am looking to buy the creative suit for my mac, but i just want to make sure it also works on windows. All it says on the box is CSS

Yes. CSS will work on both OS X and Windows. But you must have the correct version for each.
So if you are going to run CSS on both a Mac and a PC, you are going to have to purchase two copies, one for the Mac and one for the PC.

  • Iphone not being recognized by Itunes for MAC; But works in Windows Vista

    Hi,
My iphone sync with Windows without problems.
But when I plug my iPhone in MAC (10.5.5) with Itunes (8.0.2) the iTunes return: itunes could not connect to the iphone 0xE8000001
It is strange because iPhone connect with iPhoto without problems.
Just iTunes for mac dont work.
This is a brand new minimac.
    Any tips?
    Rogerio

    RogerioNT,
Which USB port are you connecting it to?
iPhoto will transfer over a USB 1.1 connection, and many hubs are USB 1.1. Try connecting the iPhone directly to the back of the computer.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • Does the RSS feed for Dev Forums work for you?

Does the RSS feed (lower right corner of the screen)
    http://discussions.apple.com/rss.jspa?feed=rss/rssmessages.jspa?forumID=727
work for you? I tried to add the URL to one of the RSS readers on my iPhone but none could identify a working feed. Any hints?

Well, I think they just got the RSS image link wrong. The correct link is:
    http://discussions.apple.com/rss/rssmessages.jspa?forumID=727
    Works fine in all readers.
(I still wonder how others have gotten the link I initially posted working... )

  • How exactly does the trade in for iPhone 6 work?

Hi! I have had an iPhone 4 for quite some time and really need to upgrade. Would love for my upgrade to be with the latest model. The trade in sounded great since it would essentially be getting a new phone for free. I was just not completely sure how it works.
First part of question: Do I have to pay out of pocket the cost for upgrading to a new iPhone 6 and then I will essentially be reimbursed for my trade in with the gift card?  Or do I trade in the phone, get the gift card and then use it to purchase the new phone?
    Second:
I currently have a phone that has the screen incredibly cracked and damaged from a recent accident.  The phone works, but I did receive a new iPhone 4 to replace it since I had insurance on it.  I have yet to activate the new phone since I heard about this trade in and the new iPhone 6 coming out. Would I be able to trade in the completely new phone I have received to get the gift card even though I haven't used it? would I only be able to send in the damaged one only? Or could I send in both?
    Third:
Is this something that could be done in store instead of online? If so what would the process be for that?
    Fourth:
Would this change my current plan in terms of cost per month?
Thank you! Hope to hear back soon.

  • Does Clean Genius Pro for Mac really work?

Downloaded CGP and I was wondering if it REALLY worked...

it does but i find it a little quirky when i tried it a long time ago.
the cleaning part works good to get rid of your cache and temp files if that's all you'll be using it for.
there are others out there that are better but use it for a while if you wish and you can determine if you want to keep it or look for something else much better.
    good luck.

I believe it is 30 days. You can then purchase directly from Adobe and enter the serial number to activate it.

  • Does the Sdxc slot for mac supports Sdhc cards?

I only find Sdhc cards with 16 GB or 8 GB which is more or less the size I need/want.  The Sxdc cards are huge like 64 GB wich I don't need, and of course, they're much more expensive
I know Sdxc and Sdhc cards are the same size, but that's not enought when It comes to hardware compatibleness.

    Yes it does....
Only difference is the SDXC ( Secure Digital Extended Capacity)  32GB - 128GB and SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) 8GB to 32GB.
Other than that, no issues.  They will work in your slot.  I'm using both.

  • Using the same keyboard for Mac os X and Windows

I got an A/B switch to use the same monitor, keyboard and mouse on both platforms, however the keyboard is acting screwy even after mapping the keys correctly. Say after using the left arrow three times or more I get it to start typing 44444 in the browser window. The caps activate by themselves and so forth. Yet the keyboard is fine with WINDOZE>okay here it is gain
Any suggestions on making a keyboard compatible with both platforms?

I had to try a couple of KVM models before I found one that I was happy with -- so I advise people to buy their KVM switch from a store with an easy return policy.
Gernerally it will be easiest to find a good KVM switch if your mouse and keyboard are USB.
Using any kind of PS/2 -> USB converter with a KVM switch also increases the likelihood of the kind of problems you reported.

Flash Player Protected Mode provides a modern, sophisticated set of security protections that we see as critical in today's security landscape.
We highly recommend that users not disable ProtectedMode.  Also, it's worth noting that by manually changing your mms.cfg, you have opted out of Protected Mode for all future versions of Flash Player, as we will continue to honor that preference. This puts your system at risk, and that risk will continue to grow over time.
Ultimately, this is an issue with the RealPlayer Browser Record plug-in.  There is a more technical explanation in the Mozilla bug referenced above in the thread, but the simplified version is that the security enhancements designed to prevent the introduction of malware via Flash Player make RealPlayer Browser Record plug-in no longer compatible with Flash Player for Firefox.  You can disable the record functionality to eliminate this issue, while retaining the ability to view both Flash and Real Player content.
To disable the Real Player Browser Record functionality while maintaining the enhanced security provided by Flash Player with Protected Mode, do the following:
        Launch RealPlayer
Click the RealPlayer icon in the upper-left corner of the window, and choose Preferences
Choose Download & Recording from the left-hand menu
Uncheck "Enable Web Download & Recording for these installed browser"
        Click OK

  • Does Microsoft Entourage 2008 for mac work with the new Mac OS X v 10.7 Lion

Does Microsoft Entourage 2008 for mac work with the new Mac OS X v 10.7 Lion?
I am just about to install Lion just need to check to see if if my work e-mail will work

    Sarah,
    Check this link:
    http://roaringapps.com/app:2533
It contains some issues that people have encountered with Lion and Office 2008. It appears it can work, but you may have to go through some of the steps a few of the posters there have listed.
That website also contains a pretty large list of applications and if they will work with Lion.
Hope this helps! (I am not affiliated in any way with the site linked).

When I upgraded to 10.7.4 I lost the ability to use a lot of my previous software that was intel based. My Adobe suites for example. So for $29 i now have to spend $1000's to get these to work. What has changed with Mountian Lion. I am not rich?

The reason your applications do not work in Lion/Mountain Lion is that they were written for the older PowerPC CPU that all Macs used up to 2006.  When Apple made its transition to the Intel CPU, they licensed software that they included in all versions of OS X (from Tiger to Leopard and optionally, Snow Leopard) called Rosetta.
Rosetta miraculously allows PowerPC applications to work on the Intel processor transparently; you do not know it is even present.
The problem is that after 6 years of the transition, Apple's license to use the underlying software expired for OS X Lion and all version thereafter (and it is doubtful that the current owner of the software, IBM, would relicense it, even if Apple were inclined to do so).
So you do not have to accept recriminations from others for previously using Rosetta without even knowing it was present and running!
So for those of use that need to upgrade to Lion/Mountain Lion, I have offered the option to install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7:
    And now Mountain Lion:
If you are unable or unwilling to update your inventory of PowerPC software, this solution offers you an alternative for not more than the $29 cost of Snow Leopard and $79 cost of Parallels (cheaper via internet sources).
Full Snow Leopard installation instructions into Parallels 7 are here:

Assistance with the installation process is available on this linked forum.

I have the Adobe Suite 5.5 for Windows. I have recently changed to a Mac. Can I get 5.5 for Mac? I have plugins that I would like to keep in their current form.

    burnttimber,
I am afraid the only (legal) way is to buy it second hand with a licence transfer through Adobe, from someone that has not used CS5.5 for any kind of upgrading (including a discount on CC).
    Transfer an Adobe product license

  • HT201341 Does the Mountain Lion operating system run programs in the Microsoft Office for Mac 2004 software suite?

Does the Mountain Lion operating system run programs in the Microsoft Office for Mac 2004 software suite?

No, Snow Leopard (10.6) is the last version of OS X that supports Office 2004. You can upgrade to Office 2008 or 2011, or use a free office suite such as LibreOffice.
