Does the BT on-line line tester really check your...

Good Morning,
My first post on the forum - I would have liked it to be one of praise - but it looks like this is the place to get action.
Firstly - has anyone out there ever got the on-line tester to indicate that the problem was anywhere other than on your own property?
I have a fault on my line since 2/8/2013.
Every time I check on progress and run a line check - it is the same result. No fault.
The engineer called and pinpointed the fault to 279 metres from my property.
BT advise that I can check the progress of my fault on line.
It has not been updated since 2/8/2013 with a promise that it would be fixed by 13:00 that day.
Several contacts with the on-line help centre have only caused more frustration.
I have no phone, 16kb/s broadband and no response to several communications to BT.

I have a 1st generation Nano and haven't updated the software for a while. My internet connection is working. Was thre a change in the internet address for NANO software updates? Do I have to reconfigure something in Itunes to point to the correct address?

    What version of iTunes are you using?  The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

  • Does the HP Envy 17t line have 2 SATA bays or 1 SATA and mSATA?

    Does the Envy 17t line have 2 drive bays?  If so, is it 2 SATA bays or 1 SATA and 1 mSATA? Also, on the hardware selection screen:
     If I choose that option, will you guys at HP install Windows on the SSD, instead of on the hard drive?  I found 256GB SSDS that are a lot cheaper than $295, but I searched around and found that HP apparently puts a restriction on the BIOS that prevents you from booting from an internal drive that you added.
    EDIT: Perhaps I could also get the 256GB SSD and add my own hard drive.  But I still need to know if it has 2 SATA or 1 SATA and 1 mSATA.

    OK, so....
    1) why do you expect me to read the whole manual?
    2) I am aware that replacing a hard drive will void warranty.  I am not planning to replace a hard drive but rather add a hard drive in the second drive bay.
    What I need to know is what hard drive ports are there, mSATA, 2 SATAs, etc. I have no idea what they mean when they say "support M.2 SATA".  Does that mean it supports M.2 SATA or is it an M.2 SATA port?? 
    EDIT: apparently M.2 SATA is only for SSDs, since I can't find any M.2 SATA hard drives. 
    So what I know now is that there's 1 M.2 bay for an SSD, but I don't know what type of port the second drive bay has.

    You did not read my reply too: I did not tell you to read the whole manual, I read it for you and clearly noted : " Please also check the following manual (page #2 and page #66) " The manual also show you port and type of the SSD   22 something, I will let you to find out.

  • What exactly does the global switch command line do ?

    Just foraging in the dark world of APP-V. I have a question which I cannot find answer for through google.
    There are powershell commands to publish an APP-V application globally. What exactly does the global switch do ?
    I understand it makes the application available to everyone on the machine for anyone who logs onto that machine.
    However in the absence of this global switch the application is still available to all users who logon to that particular machine. So what exactly is the reason for using the global switch ?

    Correct, the global switch makes the application accessable for all users logging on to that system.
    This feature is required for some packages, like Office. But it is ofter used for applications used by everyone, like Adobe Reader.
    However in the absence of this global switch the application is still available to all users who logon to that particular machine. So what exactly is the reason for using the global switch ?
    A package can be added to the system but until it is published a user cannot start it. They won't see any shortcuts in their startmenu/desktop/etc.
    So after you added the package to the system, it must be published to a user or globally (every user) to start it.

    New iOS 7.01 iPhone 5. When you go to check you calendar entry's it does not bring up all the entry's only shows entry's for each day. Why?

    When in month view, swipe up or down to change the month, tap the litle icon "three lines horizontal" next to the search icon, and you have a list view of all events. Clicking the icon twice again, brings up the Day view, and then again tapping twice the list view again....
    Personally I am not very happy with this "advanced" app, and I have installed Week calendar which basically is another interface to the same calendars database.

    An item replaced under warranty will have the balance of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.

    You can chhose the backup when you would reset your device. In this case you would get the option, during the set up process, to choose your backup and restore your device from it.
    (You can find a few information e.g. size and date of your backup in "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage")

    My name is Yarin and I'm not happy about whats happening with your re-seller!...
    its not enough that I have to be satisfied by a re-seller and not by the ORIGINAL legendary Apple ><,
    but I have to suffer their poor customer service?...
    I had in issue syncing my iPhone 4G with a PC (itunes "refused" to be installed, and that denied my access to my iPhone)
    and when I called your re-seller in Israel ("iDigital") to ask for help, they said that they don't give any support for any APPLE product,
    they just sent me to different people who "might" be responsible for this, my PC provider, to the official Apple support line in the U.S., and even to my phone company (which doesn't even make any sense!)...
    eventually I ended up thinking reasonably until i figured it out be myself...
    Now, I don't know if you have any responsiblity on your re-sellers (I don't even understand why do you need re-sellers), but if you do... do something about it...

    iDigital is not an authorized reseller for the iPhone. The only authorized resellers are the cell carriers: Orange, Pelephone, and Cellcom. Those carriers are also the only place you can get support for the iPhone; a Mac dealer cannot help. Call the carrier from whom you purchased the iPhone for assistance; they're contracted by Apple to help you.

  • Why does the cursor skip a line every time I start a new contact?

    I just got my first iPhone, and I love many things about it, but I'm pretty frustrated about other things. One frustrating thing is that if I go to save a number as a contact, it brings up the new contact page, and EVERY time I click on the first name line, it goes there and immediately jumps to line 2. Same if I click on line 3, it skips to line 4. Or I'll type a letter or two and it skips one or several lines. Anybody else have this issue? Anybody know any fixes? Please help. This will make me lose my cool if I can't get this glitch fixed.

    If you are having issues with your iPhone's Contacts application acting oddly, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
    First, quit all running applications and test again -
    Force an app to close in iOS
    Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
    Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
    How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

  • Does the 1422 grabber use line valid and frame valid signals

    Hi,
    Setup: I have set a camera (digital) to acquire a 200x200 image (Basla config software), and set the “channel->properties->Basic->Acquisition Window” values to 0,0,984,989 (in MAX); the camera is in free running mode at 20 fps.
    The problem I have is trying to understand the returned image, i.e. when I acquire using SNAP I end up with multiple frames in the window. This leads me to believe that the 1422 does not use FVAL and LVAL lines. Is this so?

    The 1422 does use both the FVAL and LVAL signals (or elso you would never get a frame). In order to only see one image, you need to change the acquisition window in MAX to be the same size as the image. In your case, you are telling MAX to acquire an image 985x990 while your actual image is only 200x200. Therefore, MAX will append lines onto the image until it reaches 985. That is why you are seeing multiple images. In MAX, set your acquistion size to 200x200 to solve the problem.

  • Why does the new iOS 8.0.2 software refresh your apps if you back out to text or check another app? It's frustrating and its racking up my data charges and I really don't like it!

    look I updated my phone to iOS 8.0.2 and now any time I back out of an app to text someone or check on another app it refreshes the page (if I'm on the internet) or the app and it's really annoying. If someone could please tell me how to fix this or just help get a new software up please do. It is racking up my data usage with all the refreshing and its getting really annoying and expensive.

    Same issue here both with my iphone 5S as well as my iPad2. THe sync to my macbook air does not complete and it shows a large overcapacity level when connected, but once I disconnect there is plenty of room (4 GB) available, not a 20 GB overage. 

  • Why does the button only work in test scene, not test movie?

    Hi everyone, I have a very frustrating problem with my flash project.
    I have two scenes in my flash movie, each of them has lots of links and navigation within itself. And there is one button that takes you from one scene to another.
    When I test Scene 2, everything works fine. However, when I test the whole movie, the navigation within Scene 2 won't work and there is no error!
    Does anyone has any thought about what is going wrong?

    My Scene 1 has some key frames and some gotoAndStop functions navigate between the frames. My Scene 2 has basically the same set up, but different content.
    Then I use a button to jump from Scene 1 to Scene 2.
    Here is the code:

    The new firmware that adds Audible support also reduces the standby time to 4 hours, which is the same change that was in the previous PDE firmware (referred to as the battery drain fix).
