Does the Canon HF G10 HDMI only output  29.97?

Is the Canon HF G10 HDMI output limited to 29.97?
I'm using the HDMI output of the Canon HF G10 to record to an external hard drive (I'm using a Blackmagic HyperDeck with an SSD).
I set the camera to 24p (effectively 23.98) but the output - through the HDMI - is 29.97.
When I record to the SD card it's 23.98.
Can anyone explain?
Thanks,
Craig

Dumb question to ask, but have you tried importing your video direct into your computer, without using 3rd party stuff? Try that first, if it shows that you frame rate is 24p, then it's either the Black Magis Hyper Deck or your HDMI cable.

If I use an app to remove duplicate pix does the app  read content  or only  the file name such as IMG. I have some 2500 pix  and the thought of trawling thru  them  toremove duplicates is mind numbing.
If the apps  read the content then I am ok about that  but if they  only read the  file name ... they maybe  deleting stuff that  isnt really a duplicate

You have to contact with the developer of the application. We do not know which app you are referring to and we do not know how that application works, but all apps of that type are supposed to delete duplicate files with the same format (like IMG, JPG...)

  • Does the headphone jack have a video output?

    Hi,
This quesiton is regarding either generation of ipad.
Does the headphone jack have a video output, akin to the ipod video?
    If so, what's the resolution.
    Thanks

No iOS device has had video out through the headphone jack since....the model of the Classic since before the current one? I admit to not being entirely sure on when it was dropped. None of the current devices (iPad, iPod or iPhone) have that capability.

  • Does the new iPad (wi fi only) take a micro sim?

Does the new I pad (wifi only) take amicro sim?

The only way you can get a wifi only onto a cellular network (unless someone has an open access point) is to use a device like Mifi...a portable cellular wifi hotspot that you activate and hook your device to.

  • Does the iPhone 4S support HDMI- OUT via the digital AV adapter?

Does the 4S support HDMI ->OUT via the digital AV adapter or not?  I read that it does (whether it be mirroring, YouTube video playback, movie playback, etc.) but I'm not having any luck.  I recently tried my AV adapter (that I normally use with my iPad 2) but I get nothing.  When I power cycle the phone after connecting the adapter, I get a error stating that the "accessory is not supported by iPhone".  When I go to play a YouTube video, it shows up on the phone's screen for a second and then disappears.  The LCD TV I am connected to never prompts me for the detection of a new HDMI device being connected" either, do I have no clue what's going on.
    Any ideas? Thought?
Any help to solving this riddle once and for all would be appreciated.
    Thanks and Happy New Year!!

    P.S. - my 4S is running iOS 5.0.1 and is a Verizon 16gb model.

The model number on the adaptor is A1388. The link is here:

    I have the iPhone 4s, running 5.0.1 (9A405)
I have also experimented with sequence, and I see no particular order needed to make it work. Generally I get it all plugged in and then swipe the iPhone and in a few moments, the screen appears in mirroring mode. Then if I go to Videos I can play my clips with sound, or I can do Keynote presentations, etc.
So sorry to hear you're having trouble. I imagine you've already double-checked that you're seating it solidly in the dock connector and have a good, working HDMI cable. I am not sure what you mean in your original post about "powering up" the phone. It might also be some Verizon issue, though I don't know what that might be. Is your AV adaptor the Apple branded one?

  • Does the iPad mini retina wifi only come with GPS?

I want to use the wifi mini retina with Garmin Pilot, an aviation app. Does the wifi only version come with GPS installed or do I have to get a 4G/LTE version?

You need the 4G/LTE version. The WiFi version does not have GPS.

  • Does the new X1-01 support only MP3?

Hello people! I'm currently an X6 16GB user and I'm planning to get the X1-01 as my second phone. I just like to know if the X1-01 supports MP3 only? I'm asking this because almost all my music files are in AAC format. Regardless, I'll just convert my AAC files to MP3. That's not an issue though.
    Thanks and more power!

  • Does the Canon HD-20 (mini DV) work well with FCP?

What is the caliber of result from shooting this consumer grade HD camera with 24p, and importing mini-DV? Does the G5 and Final Cut handle HD footage from this particular camera well? THANKS.
    G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5) fcp 5.1.2

if I had an intel mac with pci-e slots and had to cut from this rather lots o bang for the buck camera, I'd jump on the blackmagic intensity card. I'd do whatever I could to avoid HDV and get to some HD codec as quickly as possible. I'm leaning toward a convergent designs box for a project that is about to start in 2 weeks all shot on the HV-20.

  • Does the pavilion x2 support hdmi to vga (d-sub) output?

I purchased a display to connect my laptop to. However, the screen only supports d-sub input, and my pavilion x2 only supports hdmi output. I looked into purchasing an hdmi to d-sub chord, but I found that your device must support hdmi to d-sub. I would like to know if this is supported

Hi, HDMI to VGA is from digital to analog. You need a proper coverter, simple HDMI to VGA cable won't work.    http://www.jaycar.com.au/Sight-%26-Sound---Home/AV-Switchers-%26-Converters/Converters/HDMI-to-VGA-%2B-Stereo-Audio-Converter/p/AC1724 Regards.

  • HDMI only output ( using HDMI as input )

    Hello,
I'm wondering if is possible to use the new MacMini for streaming.
If the HDMI port can be used as a video input then I can use it with Quicktime Broadcaster feeding from a video camera equiped with HDMI.
Is that possible or the HDMI port is output only?
    thanks in advance.

You can get an HDMI capture card for the Mac Pro, but obviously this will not fit in a Mac mini! See http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/
It is not clear whether this will work with sources using the ghastly HDCP content protection.
There is also the Elgato EyeTV HD which will record from a component (not HDMI) source and this would work with a Mac mini as it connects via USB. See http://www.elgato.com/elgato/na/mainmenu/products/EyeTV-HD/product1.en.html

  • Does the Canon MD225 work on iMovie 09?

The apple site does not specifically mentioned the MD225 is compatible with iMovie 09, but Canon video cameras have normally been pretty good with iMacs.
The minute you mention iMacs to the guys at the video camera store they start to twitch...
    Thanks,

Formang it seems like you have a Mini DV (Tape Based) Camera.
According to this article your DV camera should work just fine.

  • Does the canon mx340 which has easy photo print ex have an update

have a canon mx 340 and use easy phot print ex to print pics ..does this have an update i can download or install please

Ahh ok, that function File->Show In Finder shows the current selection in the finder if it is a referenced image. That's all it does, it doesn't cause any permanent changes to any settings in Aperture or the Finder. Why you couldn't see your referenced files in the finder before clicking this and now you can is a mystery and a coincidence and will do nothing to enable other programs from accessing the images in the library.
As for turning off color management when you print from Aperture, in the print dialog under the Rendering section
when you open the Color Profile you can select  Printer Managed.
Once you set it to Printer Managed you'll see the warning change from Turn off in Printer to Turn on in Printer
Might be worth a shot if you haven't try it yet.

  • I cannot get audio through my TV using HDMI lead it has worked previously but on the settings tab the option to use HDMI for output has disappeared

As above I have a MacBook Pro and pretty new Samsung TV... i bought a HDMI lead from apple shop connected it and was able to choose HDMI lead as sound output.... but i cannot do it any more nothing has changed cable has not even been unpluged but the option within settings has disappeared.... I have tried the basics turn everything off and on again close all apps disconnect and reconnect leads..... any help would be brilliant

The problem is not solved by something that simple unfortunately ! I have discovered that if I boot up the laptop with the hdmi cable connected to the tv it works, but if not, same issue. Have read everything everywhere I can to see if the issue happens for anyone else, seems mine is an odd one. May reinstall FF to see if that cures.
