Does the educational discount end?

Hi guys just a quick question, i am looking at buying a mac with the education discount for uni, but this past week i have been in The Hague, Netherlands, and the new mac store that has opened there said that i will need to be quick because the educational discounts ends soon?
Just wondering if someone could help clarify this because i have never heard of it ending, always thought it was all year round.

Jake, there are various forms of education discount offered by Apple. One form is for students to buy hardware for the beginning of the school term, and those usually have a time limit. Another is the discount offered to educators which remain available all year. So, the store employee was probably giving you correct information for the discount they were offering to students. You might try checking with the store manager to get the most accurate information on the term of the discount and see if there is an allowance for how long it takes to get the information from your university on computer needs. Seems reasonable to press that the two should be connected.

It will be right next to the movie in your library and the jpg file will end up on your hard disk right next to the movie file. You can see the actual file by right (or control) clicking on the image in the library view and selecting "show in Finder/Explorer"

I'd like to buy a computer for my husband who is in college. When I purchased my computer I used the education discount because I was in college at that time. I am wondering if I can use the education discount for purchasing a computer for him. I noticed that on the terms you need to agree to in order to use it you have to either be the student, faculty, or a parent. I was wondering if spouse counted.

You need a valid .edu email address, IIRC.
Since he is the student, he can make the purchase and get the discount.
Won't work real well if you're planning on gifting the Mac.

I might buy an Apple laptop for school, and I am a university student. Thus, I assume that I qualify for the educational discount.

Will a BestBuy retail store match the education discount of another local retailer?

My wife is looking to get a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The local Microsoft store offers a 10% education discount (she'd faculty) on the system and the keyboard cover. Would a local BestBuy store match this discount on these items?
As a secondary question, would the online store match as well? I am just now seeing that my local store is out of stock on the specific model she is looking at.

What documentation and what email do I send my educator ID to get the educational discount?

Please help. When I purchased my Creative Cloud license last week, I was told that I would be sent an email of what ID was needed and an email address of where to send the documentation for my education discount for Creative license. I've been on the phone for over an hour several times today and never get connected. Heard that your response time was over 2 hours.

Sign in at http://icloud.com with the new ID and password and confirm that your data is still all there.
Then sign out in System Preferences>iCloud then sign back in with the new ID and password. Your data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out, but will reappear when you sign back in.

What happened to the Education Discount?

Why is there no longer an education discount for the stand-alone version of Adobe Audition? I'm a radio/tv major college student and have been saving since August, when Audition was available for $149.99 with my college email address. Now the Education Store says there is no discount. I don't have the money right now to pay full price. Thanks Adobe.

Adobe corporate don't read the U2U forums - it's no good complaining to us about this. If you're lucky, one of the developers might know the answer as to why; you'll have to wait and see...

Why does the education section limit you to only the most recently released apps of a type such as communication, special education?

I realize the education section is huge, and appreciate the attempts to group like apps, but it still wont let me get to those updated or published, say, last spring. They are all the "top 20" or most recent. There used to be a choice called "all apps" but I dont see it in the education apps section like I do in other sections.

There may be other ways, but if you go back to the main iTunes Store page and select Browse, then App Store -> Education, you'll see all the apps available. You can sort by release date, which I believe is the default or by the other columns.

Am I eligible for the Educational Discount under these conditions?

I am currently attending college and will be graduating in March. I would like to continue to use adobe products, but I'm not sure if I'll be eligible for the Education license. I would like to hold off for the release of CS6, but it doesn't look like it will be out before my March graduation date. My student ID shows as being valid until December of 2012 and I will have access to my .edu email.
If CS6 comes out after March will I still be able to purchase the Creative Suite, Educational version?

Ok... I spoke with two different reps to confirm. I graduate in March, but was told that I would be eligible for the educational program with my Student ID since it expires in December and I will still be able to use my .edu email. The second rep also told me that you are elligible 6 months from graduation. I don't know if I really believed that, but I'll pass that in my response.
It would be nice if CS6 released in February so I wouldn't have to worry, but I think I'm going to stick it out and try for CS6. I primarily use photoshop for photography at school and I love photography as a hobby... CS6 seems to have some nice upgrades with Camera RAW support/features.
