I'm a Ph D. student owner of an Ibook G3, 800 combo drive. I bought it on May 29, 2003 in USA. I got some problems with the video but nothing so serious. Some times it got freeze but I was able to deal with those issues for a while. I've using this computer mostly for my research and writings. By April the logic board began to have a new and a more serious problem. Some times it had power and some times it did not. I was able to make it work and on April 28 I took it to the apple store. When I went there my computer was working okey. One of the people at the Apple Store in Manila (Philippines) turned it off. After that it has been impossible to make it work again. After a week I received the unit back with the diagnostic that the logic board is dead. I found the documentation related to the logic board repair extension program for Ibooks. I went back to the store and they received the unit again. Today they told me that the problem is the logic board which is dead but that it is not cover by the extension program. The reason is that the problem with my mac is related to a power issue and not to display issues. I do not know what to do. I called to Singapore today also and they told me that the serial number of my unit fits well under the guarantee. Also, the date in which I bought it. However I need to demonstrate that it really had display problems in order to get the guarantee. How do I do that now? My Ibook is not working anymore. I need to write my disertation and I am wandering what should I do. How is it possible that an Apple logic board may endure less that three years? I'm really affected for this problem. At the end I do not have any computer at all and before three years I'm loosing U$ 1,350. I love Apple computers but this issue is badly affecting me in my finances and worse in my studies. Any idea?

I would like to post here that I finally got back my computer. That is not possible. On Thursday I received another phone call (I think from Singapore). A lady told me that her boss was supervising the soon reparation of my unit. They expected that it would be repaired in no more than in three working days. Since I have no received any call from Manila I decided to contact them today. I talked with Mr. Lito (the person on charge of the reparation store), and he told me that it is not possible to repair my unit because they do not have the original receipt of the machine. I explained to him that I submitted the receipt to GreenBelt Apple Store in Manila. He surprised me when he said that the Apple store does not have my receipt. They lost it. I explained to him that my unit is there with them because I was able to give to the Apple Store the receipt of my purchase. It is for this reason that they receive the unit.
I do not know. It is difficult to deal with these issues when you are not in your own country...
I had to call to Apple (1-800- 7666-7666) again. They will contact Apple Singapore.
Now, what is going to happen?
I do not know. I do really expect that again Apple Singapore will do something to correct this mess.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Can any one please explain the use of RFFOEDI1 program. Is this
program used just to generate I-Doc?
Scenario: For Check payment method(C)
Once F110 run is successful, then we have to run RFFOUS_C program to
generate checks. Once this program is complete, checks will be
generated and the check info will be available in PAYR table.
Scenario: For ACH-CCD payment method (D)
Once F110 run is successful with payment method D, The payment details
will hit BSAK table.
Now, I don't want to generate the SAP standard I-Doc with RFFOEDI1, do
I still need to run RFFOEDI1 program???
For the check payment, RFFOUS_C program triggers the generation of
checks after which the check info will be available in PAYR table

RFFOEDI1 is typically used when payments to vendors are to be sent by an EDI 820 file to the bank. This program generates the PEXR2002 idoc. The idocs are sent to the EDI translator where these are mapped to an EDI 820 file format and sent to the bank.
Scenario ACH-CCD payments method (D)
If you do not want to send EDI 820 payments, you would typically not generate the idoc - in which case - you dont have to use RFFOEDI1. This probably means that (a) you are using the RFFOUS_T program for generating the payment medium or (b) you are using the payment medium workbench to generate the ACH file (NACHA format) for your house bank.
You do have to send an ACH file to the bank for paying your vendors - which means - you are probably using one of the above methods to generate the file.
ACH Direct Deposit
I am assuming that you are probably referring to ACH-PPD type payments here. You would still have to send the payment medium using one of the methods mentioned above.
In all ACH scenarios, your payment document number, is your reference number that was used to clear the open item.

You use program RFBIBL00 to enter accounting documents and to clear open items.
Method
Program RFBIBL00 primarily transfers accounting documents using the batch input method. However, you can also generate documents immediately using call transaction or direct input by means of the "Data transfer type" parameter. Both of these procedures lead to improvements in system performance when transferring large quantities of data (more than 10,000 transactions).
Object-Specific Settings
With call transaction or direct input, documents are posted immediately to the SAP System. As a result, you need to ensure that if for any reason the program is terminated, it can be restarted without inconsistencies occurring in the data.

To enhance the batch input procedure, the system offers the direct input technique, especially for transferring large amounts of data. In contrast to batch input, this technique does not create sessions, but stores the data directly. It does not process screens. To enter the data into the corresponding database tables directly, the system calls a number of function modules that execute any necessary checks. In case of errors, the direct input technique provides a restart mechanism. However, to be able to activate the restart mechanism, direct input programs must be executed in the background only. To maintain and start these programs, use program RBMVSHOW or Transaction BMV0.

Background:
Using FrameMaker 7.1 to create a PDF file where a CS11 barcode file is embedded. PDF generates fine but we get a bunch of squares when we copy and paste the barcode data into Notepad.
We have CS 2 running on another PC and we don't get this problem. Do I need to install a plugin (if any) for CS11 to get this to work?

Thanks for your feedback. I was not able to mention earlier that in my line of work, we use Notepad to check if the barcode text is written correctly or if the corresponding text can be found if searched in the PDF... We use FREE3OF9.TTF font when entering text values for the barcode (usually in document/part number format exclusive for our company's use) in AI CS11. After saving the AI file, we attach it in a document using FrameMaker 7.1, then a PDF file is created. The output PDF will be a certification sheet for our products. They (our clients) should be able to scan the document/part number out of the barcode. I'm sorry, I could not divulge any other information so I am not sure if this clears out the issue. It used to work before but I had to get my PC formatted and since then I have been encountering this problem. I am trying to figure out if we missed to install a component or something got messed up after re-installing Adobe Illustrator CS11.

In that case (no pun intended), you may not need one. I agree, it does look and feel better without the case. I bought a clear case so it still shows off the design, but the problem is the case itself scratches easily.
It's your call. But I would say, if you are not worried about dropping the phone (with AppleCare+, a replacement is only $49 as you may know), you do not absolutely need a case.

There are only two types of HDMI cables (standard and high speed - listen to all 1.2, 1.3 etc etc nonsense they will try to tell in the store) both types will work with the Apple TV.
The cable may be faulty though, have you got another to try, what exactly is happening.

Yep. Any 3GS can be upgraded to iOS 5. The baseband you have at the moment (5.14.02) is irrevelent; it will be upgraded when you go to iOS 5. Unless you're relying on a software unlock (which is prohibited by the Terms of Use and as such we can't help you here) you can update just fine, your baseband version will be updated as well but this will have no effect on the operation of the phone.
