Does The GroupWise Server Migration Utility Change Case?

From what I've read, if I do a manual migration with dbcopy and use the "m" switch it will change the case of files (to lower) from the source server. Is this true?
Also, if I use the Novell GroupWise Migration Utility will that change files to lower case? If not is there a way to make it?
Thank you for your help

Yes and yes :) The dbcopy -m switch performs lowercase and according to the documentation for the migration utility it also does the same:
Performs an operation equivalent to GroupWise Check (GWCheck) with the storelowercase option to ensure that all filenames and directory names stored in the guardian database (ngwguard.db) are also converted to lowercase.

Does the iPhone 5 really need a case? ive been reading articles that says it doesn't, opinions please...

In that case (no pun intended), you may not need one. I agree, it does look and feel better without the case.  I bought a clear case so it still shows off the design, but the problem is the case itself scratches easily.
It's your call. But I would say, if you are not worried about dropping the phone (with AppleCare+, a replacement is only $49 as you may know), you do not absolutely need a case.

That you may have jailbroken your phone. You may have used that computer to jailbreak a phone. You may have a bad hosts file on the computer because of that. There are many reasons, but generally those are the main ones. According to this http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ there are no system outages.

"You have to change your router's IP address to be able to access it. It will not give you the internet."
I'm not sure what that means Richard, but I did change the router's IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.5.1- isn't that what you meant in your first post. I know that isn't reflected in my screen capture that I took last night, but I did do that this morning after I read your post.
"Log on to your router and change two settings.
Change the setting in Setup from PPPoE to Automatic Configuration-DHCP and click on save.
Click on Advance Routing and change the setting from Gateway to Router then click on save."
I did this and still same results as far as I can tell. Can't get online through the router.
"Click on MAC address clone under setup tab ... click enable & click clone ...click save settings ... Check the IPaddress under WAN page ....
If getting IP in public range .... try going online ...."
I tried this- at least to the part about checking the IP address under WAN. I assume you mean the WAN page in the modem setup- nothing looked any different after trying what you suggested, and I'm not really sure where I would be "getting IP in public range" or what that means.
I'm about to give up and just buy a new router to see if I can get the same lack of results with a different one. My ISP maintains that everything is set up correctly on their end and really can't do anything more for me. The Modem works and is set up correctly and they can give tech support for a router.

  • What the IP address does the Web Server get?

    Hi all,
We have a scenario like this:
    Client——>Proxy(like squid)—........—>Web Server( 6.1 SP7)——>Application
We know that the Web Server will get the remote IP address, and set as proxy-ip in HTTP Header.
But, what the exact remote IP address does the Web Server get? The IP of the Proxy? or The IP of the original client?
If we want to get the original client IP in the Application, what do we need to do?
    Thanks!
    Shen

Look at the documentation for customized logging
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-1497/gdsxf?l=en&a=view
Basically, you configure a custom log file format in SJSWS
And instead of using the variable: %Ses->client.ip%
you will use something like the variable: %Req->headers.X-Forwarded-For%

Yes, if you do a fresh install of the operating system, it's like a brand new machine.
No, if you restore from a backup like a bootable clone or TimeMachine drive.

    Hi,
The WMI Performance Adapter (wmiApSrv) service provides performance library information from Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) providers to clients on the network. This service only runs when Performance Data Helper is activated.
This service is installed by default and its startup type is Manual. When started in the default configuration it will log on using the Local System account.
You can try troubleshooting the issue using Clean Boot to check if the issue is related to third-party software.

  • NetWare Server Migration Utility fills volume on SOURCE srv

I am trying to migrate our primary NetWare 6.5 w/SP8 file server to VMware. One of the NSS volumes on the source server is nearly 2 TB in size with ~60 GB free. During the migration, that volume on the source server filled up to 100%, however, the migration continued to run (over the weekend), so it wasn't a big deal. However, at ~95% completed, the Migration Utility crashed on my computer (some Visual C++ error) and closed. Now, the volume on the source server is still at 100% usage, and I can't seem to "clean it" up. My questions are:
#1) Is the Migration Utility using source server disk space to "cache" the files it is going to copy? If so, can I stop it from doing that?
#2) What must I do to reclaim that free space on the source server?
    Thank you.

You obviously have compression enabled on the source, but not on the
target volume. In that case the migration has to uncompress compressed
files on the source before it migrates them.
The "fix" for the full volume now is unfortunately to wait until
compression kicks in again for those files.

  • WRT54GC - Does the DHCP Server really work?

    Hi everyone,
Im new to this forum so i dont know if this problem has been discussed before and is there any solution to it.
I own a WRT54GC since January 2007 and have had no problems since then, but recently I found out some issues about the DHCP server on this unit:
This is what i have on the network for you guys to understand my network setup:
Cogeco Cable Modem for the internet (Im located in Canada), Linksys WRT54GC router, One Trendnet File/Print Server for my USB all in one Lexmark printer, and external hard drive, and an Acer laptop.
The network works perfectly (wireless internet, wired internet, printing, file transfer) except for the following DHCP issue:
DHCP server does not update the IP address of my laptop even if in the router settings i assign 5 mins or any minuites to the lease time of the IP address and I keep my laptop on and connected to the router either wireless or wired.
The router has been enabled for DHCP and can assign the IP address automatically to my laptop upon powerup. I also have allocated 6 users for DHCP and starting IP at 192.168.1.101 which means that the range is from 192.168.1.101 to 192.168.1.106
When I check who's connected to the network, I see that my lap is connected to it and the expiry of the lease time is given. I can also see that if the lease time is set to 5mins then it down counts until zero and it defaults to some wiered number after the time is over and doesnt change the IP address of my laptop. Looks like a bug in the DHCP server software. The above was tried when using the wireless connection.
When I connected the laptop using the ethernet cable to the router (wired connection) a somewhat similar behaviour but instead if I set a lease time of 5mins or any other mins, the server does not recognize this and defaults it to a lease time of a day (similar to setting 0).
I have configured my laptop for DHCP so I dont think there is anything wrong with my laptop but I do feel that the DHCP server on this WRT54GC is working abnormally.
Any suggestions?......Try it out first and see if you have the same problem.
If you dont than i will be glad if you could tell me how you were able to make it work!
    Cheers.
(Edited post for guideline compliance. Thanks!)

Thanks for your reply. Im not looking forward to change my IP address every 5 mins. My question is more related the functional behaviour of the DHCP server. With all the proper settings (and I belive I have done the settings correctly), the DHCP server should update the IP addresses of any computer on the network after the lease period ends and provided the computer was on for the time the lease period is valid and not shut off. Even if I use the default lease setting of a day, it still does not change the IP address if I keep my laptop on for more than a day or so. I feel that the DHCP server is not functioning as it should. I dont really need to change my IP address and Im happy if it doesnt change, but I came across the abnormal behaviour when I was going through the setup. I just thought I should try to see how the DHCP server on this unit works and to see that it was not working as it should I thought I should ask someone on the community forum to see if this is really a normal behaviour or has linksys distributed a faulty product. My network works fine and Im the only user so Im not concerned about security. Im using WEP. To answer your other questions: There is no specific reason as to why I chose to limit DHCP to 6. I think 6 is good enough for me and as no one else is using my network I think 6 is an enough number for DHCP server to assign an unused IP address to my laptop after the lease period expires. I believe I dont need 50. The reason why I used 5 mins as lease time is because I wanted to test the DHCP server. 5 mins is short and I can wait and monitor to see if my IP address gets updated. Waiting for a day will be overkill for the simple test. Did you try it on your router? I'd be interested to know how it worked for you if it really worked. Thanks for you help!

  • Where does the ACS server get the DNS info for IP pools?

I am trying to change the DNS servers that my VPN users are assigned from the IP pools on the ACS server. Where does the IP pools get the DNS server information. I have changed the DNS Ips on the windows server and rebooted. But the VPN clients are still being assigned the old DNS servers.

ACS ip pools do not push DNS server information
It is either being forwarded from VPN concentrator group setup or
    it is being send from ACS user/group setup > Radius(VPN 3000) attributes > [026/3076/005] Primary-DNS.
    Hope this helps.

  • How does Sybase Replication Server capture data changes?

    Hello,
as far as I know Sybase Replication Server is a central component in a HANA-based enviroment when it comes to replicate data towards HANA engine.
I scan briefly through a white paper of Sybase, but I gives no technical description how the Sybase Replication Server captures data change on the source database.
    Can someone gives here explanation?
    All the best,
    Guido

    Hello Marc,
thanks for fair and hornest answer!
I'm currently involved in SAP based project where we are migrated business on DB level, which is some kind of operation a heart. I personally have huge respect for this approach.
Caputring the changes on DB level is a appoarch, but I personally think that you need to capture event on business object level. For exammple the SAP good old workflow knows events for business objects. Also in a ESA-driven application you should have some kind on eventing for business objects.
For the time being the current approach might working for a kind of Proof-of-Concept,
but on a mid and long-term based you need to RETHINK!
All the best & Merry Christmas & Happy new year

  • Does the Internal mail flow go through CAS

I need to know if the mail sent between mailboxes on the same MBX server goes through CAS (outlook or OWA or activesync) or just in the MBX
Also if the mailboxes are in the same org but different MBX servers
    Thanks

To answer your question, I'll answer it in several parts.
In order to send/receive an email, you use a client (Outlook, OWA, ActiveSync) which only communicates with the CAS server.
Internal emails stay within the mailbox servers, whether it's going from one DB to another on the same MB server, or whether it's another MB server using the hub transport services.
Now, if we're talking about external email coming in or out, then it traverses the CAS server, on it's way to or from the MB server.
Remember to mark as helpful if you find my contribution useful or as an answer if it does answer your question.
