Does the HP 4630 OfficeJet print borderless photos?
Trying to print Photos boardless and cant seem to find that option. Is it available on this printer?
Hello cporter,
Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are wanting to know if this particular printer supports borderless printing.
Yes, this printer does do borderless printing but only up to letter size. It will not do legal size.
Go into the printing preferences menu from the devices and printers menu and go to the Layout tab. You can select borderless printing from here.
Thanks for your time.

Difficulty printing borderless photos for custom sizes
I am finding it difficult to print a borderless photo. When I try to print using the photo paper I have it always prints a border (or does not print in the border - so i guess this is called cropped).
The photo paper is not in the "Paper Size" list of the print dialogue in Preview (or iPhoto). So I specify the size using the "Manage Custom Sizes" option (similar in iPhoto). The size is 89 x 127 mm. In the print preview it looks fine, but when it is printed, a white border (ie, non printed area) crops the whole image. The one side is a 5mm border, with its opposite being 3 and the other two being 3.4.
I have noticed that when I play around with the Paper size, the standard sizes (like A4) for example, all have a "borderless" option (ie, I can select "A4" or "A4 (borderless)"). When A borderless size is selected certain other options are disabled/enabled. For example, the options under the "borderless printing" 'tab' is enabled and the options under the "duplex printing and margins" 'tab' becomes disabled. This is the exact opposite for when I try and specify my paper size. So perhaps this is a factor. (Even though I would have expected the "border" option set to "none" would mean that there would be no border...)
So just to save ppls time, this is what I am doing when I print:
1. The image is exactly 89x127mm (created with GIMP)
2. I print using Preview (similar results are achieved in iPhoto, but more pain to get there)
3. I set the paper size to 8.9 by 12.7cm (see note 1)
4. I don't change the scale (though i have experimented with all options here and nothing seems to change).
5. I check that Layout > Border > None is selected. It always is.
6. I change Quality and Media > Media Type to Glossy Photo Paper. (not that this should matter)
7. I go to borderless printing tab and note that it is disabled. great.
8. The preview shows no borders and so I hit print, but the borders come anyway (the image gets cropped).
Note
I have managed to print borderless photo images with this printer using the supplied photo paper that came with the printer. I don't think i have been able to do it since moving to this new size but I may be wrong...
Note 1
When I am setting the size in Preview, I can specify the "Non-Printable Areas". I set these to zero, though I note that the 'canon mp640 series' presets are the exact measurements that is the area that does not get printed.
Note 2
In case it has a bearing on the problem, the printer I am using is a Canon MP640.I have had some more trials to print without boarders. This time, it was inside of iPhoto. I had made a greeting card and wanted to print to a custom size. but without the ability to select the size as a boarder less size, I was unable to print directly. So instead, I had to save as a pdf > save pdf to iPhoto and then print the image as a photo (instead of a card).

Hi, I am having a little trouble with exporting images to another drive and Catalogue and need some help if anyone can give me some advice
I am currently using Lightroom 5.6 and operating on a Mac with OSX Ver 10.9.5.
I am receiving an error problem when doing the following -
I am exporting selected photos from a particular Catalogue saved on Drive 1 to a folder created on another Drive where a Lightroom Catalogue has been created. In this Catalogue I have arranged for the images once exported to be moved to a different folder - I used the Auto Import process under the File dialogue box.
When processing the Export I receive an error message for each of the images being exported indicating the following -
Heading Import Results
Some import operations were not performed
Could not move a file to requested location. (1)
then a description of the image with file name
Box Save As Box OK
If I click the OK button to each image I can then go to the other Catalogue and all images are then transferred to the file as required.
To click the OK button each time is time consuming, possibly I have missed an action or maybe you can advise an alternative method to save the time in actioning this process.
Thanks if you can can help out.Thank You, but this is a gong show. Why is something that is so important to us all so very, very difficult to do?

How do I get the hp 6510 to print to photo paper?
When I try to print photos from the computer with "4x6" and "hp photo paper" selected, the printer prints 4x6 size on the plain printer paper, NOT the photo paper. If I remove the plain 8.5x11 paper, it won't print at all, just says "paper tray empty". How do I get this to work?
I could not print saved photos on my computer to photo paper. Spent a long time trying all cures listed on line. Nothing worked. I finally made these adjustments. Now it prints fine.
What I daid was:
1) Opened Control panel
2 ) Opened "Printer folder"
3) Made sure my 6510 was listed as default printer
4) "RIGHT" clicked printer icon and clicked "Run as administrator"...... clicked "Properties"
5) Clicked "Continue" when Windows asks for permission to continue
6) Clicked "Printing Preferences"
This gave me 2 menues to choose from. Layout.... and.... Paper /Quality.
Clicked on "PAPER /Quality"
7) For Paper Source selected "Photo Tray"
For Paper size selected 4x6in (tab)
For Media selected HP Advanced Photo Papers
For Quality Settings selected "Best"
8) Clicked on "Apply" in lower right corner of the window.
9) Clicked "OK" then "OK" on the next screen to close the printer windows
I can now print my saved Photos on Photo Paper. Hope it helps you. -
What "exactly" does the Brightness setting in Print do?
What "exactly" does the Brightness setting in the Print module do?
I know it's a controversial button, especially now that there are proofing options available. Also, since you're using it "blind" it's impossible to know how much or what it's really doing.
Does anyone know if it's e.g.. the same as going to quick develop and going up on "exposure", or "brightness", or "shadows"... How exactly is it brightening the image, and is +100 a full stop or how is it calibrated?
Thanks,
Alan.Ooops,
Obviously there is NO brightness control in LR...is the print adjustment similar to an exposure adjustment or more like moving the "shadows" and "whites" adjustments (which if I understand corrrectly, moves tones above or below mid tones, but not highlights or blacks)? -
Does the camera connection kit rename imported photos?
If I use the camera connection kit to transfer photos from the SD card used in my Sony RX-100 camera, will the photos, whose names always begin with "DSC_", be renamed according to the iOS covention "IMG_"?
This renaming *does* occur when I transfer photos to my iOS devices using Eye-Fi cards. You can also use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Does the pixel size affect printing in iphoto?
Have trouble printing in iphoto. I can view the photo in iphoto fine. When I print, I am just getting a small corner of the picture. Can the pixel size affect printing?
Set your ruler increments to pixels Preferences>Units & Increments. You can fill the text box with placeholder text Type>Fill with Placeholder text and get a word count from the Info panel with Show Options turned on from the flyout.
From the Transform panel you can set a text box's width and height -
How does the server authenticate a print user?
I don't fully understand how my XServe authenticates my clients for print access. If the XServe user account differs from the account on the client machine, does it still work? For example, if server account John Smith is allowed to print to a queue, will it still work if the client machine account is Johnny Smith?
How does the XServe get the authentication info?Hi
I might be able to shed some light on this. Is the printer you are managing a networked printer on the same IP address range as server and clients?
If thats the case then you can print to the printer directly and bypass the server’s print server anyway. You have to use different methods if you really want to lock the printer down and have users print to it by using the accounts specified in WorkGroup Manager – and by implication using either PasswordServer or Kerberos authentication.
You can do this a number of ways. If your server has two ethernet ports – which yours has – then place the printer on the other ethernet port that is currently not in use. There is no way for any of your clients to access this printer other than through the Server. If you have more than one networked printer, again utilise the other ethernet port, this time attach a small switch/hub 5-8 ports (depending on how printers you have) to the port and work it the same way.
Hope this helps. -
Does the iCloud store my 10,000 photos
Does the ICloud store all the data on my computer, my 10,000 photos and 18,000 itune songs?
No. It's only for storing data from mobile devices. The following is from this document: Cloud: iCloud storage and backup overview
What iCloud backs up
You have important information on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iCloud automatically backs up your device over Wi-Fi every day while it’s turned on, locked, and connected to a power source. With your device information backed up in iCloud, you can easily set up a new device or restore information on one you already have.
Here’s what iCloud backs up:
Purchased history for music, movies, TV shows, apps, and booksYour iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. Automatic downloading is based on iTunes in the Cloud availability by country, and previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the store.
Photos and videos in your Camera Roll
Device settings
App data
Home screen and app organization
iMessage, text (SMS), and MMS messages
Ringtones
Visual Voicemail
Your iOS device backup only includes data and settings stored on your device. It doesn't include data already stored in iCloud, for example contacts, calendars, bookmarks, mail messages, notes, shared photo streams, My Photo Stream, and documents you save in iCloud using iOS apps and Mac apps.

Why does the Harvey Balls font print differently than it displays in Acrobat?
I used the Harvey Balls font (harvey_balls.ttf) to populate a table in a PowerPoint 2007 document. I saved the document as a PDF using the Save As - Adobe PDF function in PowerPoint. When the document displays on my screen, it looks normal. Please see below an example of two 4-balls on the left and two 3-balls on the right.
However, when I print it from Acrobat, the solid black circles that represent "4" in the Harvey Ball font print out with a white cutout in the upper left quadrant of each. Please see below, an example of the same two 4-balls on the left and two 3-balls on the right.
How can I get this to print properly?Hi Tara ,
Please refer to the following links and see how it goes .

Does the canon mx340 which has easy photo print ex have an update
have a canon mx 340 and use easy phot print ex to print pics ..does this have an update i can download or install please
Ahh ok, that function File->Show In Finder shows the current selection in the finder if it is a referenced image. That's all it does, it doesn't cause any permanent changes to any settings in Aperture or the Finder. Why you couldn't see your referenced files in the finder before clicking this and now you can is a mystery and a coincidence and will do nothing to enable other programs from accessing the images in the library.
As for turning off color management when you print from Aperture, in the print dialog under the Rendering section
when you open the Color Profile you can select Printer Managed.
Once you set it to Printer Managed you'll see the warning change from Turn off in Printer to Turn on in Printer
Might be worth a shot if you haven't try it yet. -

When we try to print coupons or articles only the left half of the page prints in a 2 inch column in the middle of the page. This started when I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. When we print from Internet Express, everything prints fine.
Check your margin settings.
Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter.
''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
Filter = ''margin'' - then look at the left and right margin settings for any that look grossly incorrect - the setting is in inches. Some users with that problem have reported settings like 2.7235879 - IOW a very long numeric string after the decimal point.
Right-click the Value and select Reset or Modify. 0.5 or 0.25 are appropriate settings if you elect to Modify. -
Does the iWeb gallery have a 500 photo limit?
I know I'll have to find another server for my websites, but iWeb currently will NOT take any additional photos for my Moth Field Guide (http://web.me.com/rwolfert/NJNatureNotesWebsite/Moth_Field_Guide.htm). I'm at 500 and that seems to be it!
With this in mind, will any other site or application provide the ability to caption each photo, as I was able to do on the current iWeb page, AND also create new pages when photos are added (as iWeb can do)? It might help to just look at a page or two of the field guide to see what I am referring to.
Thanks,

You will be able to continue using iWeb after MobileMe closes. You have a choice of two other ways to publish your site...
