Does the iOS 7.0.3 fix the wi-fi issue, where the wi-fi option is unavailable?

My wi-fi option has been unavailable since I upgraded my sysytem to iOS 7. Will this new update fix that problem?

  • What exactly does the Work Offline option do in a shared review hosted on an internal server?

    Hi,
What exactly does the Work Offline option do in a shared review hosted on an internal server?
I *think* it simply disconnects you from the review server. I'm not sure why one would want to do this.
I'm trying to recommend an offline workflow for reviewers who may not be able to access a shared review hosted on our internal server (for example, while traveling). These reviewers would like to be able to comment on an offline version of the review PDF and then publish their comments when they can again connect to the Internet/internal server.
It doesn't seem like "Work Offline"  is the right fit for this scenario. Instead, should reviewers save a local copy to their hard drive, comment on it, and then, when reconnected to the Internet, open the local copy, click Reconnect to Server, and then click Publish Comments?

Thanks, Dave. So for my hypothetical traveling reviewer, it would be reasonable to suggest the following steps for an offline workflow?
    1. Connect to the shared review.
    2. Choose Work Offline from the Server Status menu.
    3. Close and save the review PDF locally.
    4. Comment while traveling.
    5. When back in the office, open the local copy of the review PDF.
    6. Click Reconnect to Server.
    7. Click Publish Comments.

  • Does the Repair Database Option Remove Duplicates?

My main question is does the repair database option also delete some duplicates? I ask because I recently had an issue with importing some duplicates. Before tackling the process of removing the dups, I decided to go ahead and repair the database since I imported a bunch of files and wanted to make sure everything was working correctly. After the repair database completed, I noticed that I had about 2k fewer images in my database. Luckily I had backed it up before I ran the repair. I opened up the backup and so far all I see missing are some of the dups. I spot checked at least 10 different projects and all the original masters seem to be there.
I wasn't aware that repair would actually remove files. I wish it would have removed all of them but I still kind of find this to be weird as that was an unexpected function. What do you guys think?

Neither  of the first aid options, repair or rebuild, intentionally target duplicates. Any files removed by either of those procedures were removed because of some inconsistency in the database.
After either of those run you might see a new project in your library named Recovered. This contains any orphaned image files, files for which Aperture could not place in a project.

Fixed inactive incremental compilation issue where library changes
      were not causing application recompilation.
QE notes: We should add a JUnit OEM API test for this scenario.
    Doc notes:
    Bugs: SDK-25513
    Reviewer: Pete F.
    Tests run: checkintests
Is noteworthy for integration: yes, affects active incremental
                                   compilation from FB.
    Code-level description of changes:
      Modified the loadCompilationUnits() used by
flex2.tools.oem.Application to pass the "sources" and "units" args
down, so that the PersistenceStore can populate them.  This is
necessary to get OEMUtil.isRecompilationNeeded() called in
      Application.recompile().

  • Where does the fullscreen mode option is saved?

I have developing program, what uses WINAPI to make mozilla firefox start on IME mode. I have seen that when you press the F11 (FULLSCREEN MODE) it still is on fullscreen mode after reboot of the mozilla. So where does the option / information about fullscreen mode is saved?

In the '''localstore, rdf''' file, in the Profile folder.

  • Does the Bing wallpaper option on my Lumia 920 use...

Hi. I just wanted to know if I select Bing as my wallpaper for my Lumia, will it use data/WiFi to constantly update the background? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. The thing is, I don't have a lot of data because I don't use it that much so I'm worried if I use the Bing wallpaper option it'll use what little data I have and I get charged for overage. Is that possible?

  • Does the Guest User option work with 10.9.4 on Airport express?

The reason I ask is that the guest user option doesn't with the Airport Time capsule I bought last week and the retailer is saying tough:)
    Thanks

One idea that was suggested y-day was to turn off the cable router, while on the Help call, and see if the Guest  Network would work in Bridge mode.
The modem/router would need to have an option to be configured to operate as a modem only.  Most don't. Whether or not that might be possible with your device would be question for your ISP.....who will probably not be very enthusiastic about this.
Even if it might be possible to configure the modem/router as a modem, you would want to make sure that the ISP will offer support for you in the event of connection difficulties.  They may not support this type of configuration.
If you have the make and model number of the modem/router handy, I will see if I can locate a setup guide for the device to learn more about it.

  • What does the mail sync option do?

Ok, so I have a MacBook Pro on Leopard. In iTunes i have the option to sync my mail (I use Gmail and .Mac) with my iPhone. Well, I'm running my iPhone and Apple Mail on IMAP on both Gmail and .Mac. so what exactly does this sync option do for me? I'm already synced since its IMAP. Am I missing something, or is that sync option only useful for those running POP?
And its disabled at the moment, in case you were wondering.
PS - IMAP Gmail on iPhone rocks.

  • What does the "Export Mail" option in Mail app backup? Attachments?

Does it back up everything including attachments? What about the sent messages, draft, etc?

You can export each mailbox(folder) to another location like external drive.  It will export everything.  Later you can import them back if you like.

  • How does the "On Sale" option work for e-commerce?

I can't seem to find any documentation for this. What code is required & how do I set this up please?

As mentioned in the other post,
It is a tick and a tag that is true or false.
You have to manually change the product price to indicate it is lower price and then use the tag and CSS to style. It is not what your thinking it is with dynamic price changing

  • Why does the text size option have no effect?

Hi, text is really small. When going through display option settings and enlarging the text using the A button it has no effect on actual pages. The text is still tiny. I have tried downloading 'no small text' but get the message that it's incompatible. Is there a solution? Thanks.
    I have version 29.

It's unclear but that desktop font sizing change only affects "certain desktop optimized websites". It's really misleading.
There is no way to adjust font sizing on mobile optimized websites which I assume you're trying to adjust.

  • Does Security Update '07-004 have fix for ethernet networking issues?

    Folks:
Have some posts trying to find out why my now 10.4.9 iBook won't connect to my still happy with 10.1.5 iMac using IP/TCP Connect to server methods. And after some digging I found a number of threads that mention a specific bug that is causing this problem. Rather than spending time to bring peripherals that aren't overused up to 1049 specs--I'd like to know if the recent security update -004 contained the necessary patch so that an Apple computer could connect to another Apple computer? Or, is the info at the thread "How to install just AppleFile Server" still the current fix for this problem? Meaning a command line procedure to fix the issue, which may or may not be easy--but which is completely unknown to me--I don't know who this "Darwin" fellow is or is supposed to be. Thoughts?

    iBook G4, 14, 933 MHz,   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   iMac G4, 15, 800MHz, (10.1.5)

    Temp P:
Thanks for kindly taking the time to reply to my post. I have read that info before, it's linked from Software Update, but my knowledge of what each of those items is, is not enough to tell me whether it would, or has addressed this "alleged" "issue" that I and others are having trying to connect our computers--from 10.4.9 to any other, I guess, "alien" system; in my case, 10.1.5. This "problem" was posted on this forum earlier in the month--perhaps that is not long enough for mr Apple to get it into a Security Update?
