Does the iPad 2, save pictures and videos even if a person doesn't download them?

It would be a good help, as I need the information for a school project about technology.

you are talking about attachments to e mails?  No - it does save them until you download them, then open them in some application.  Touch the item, look at it, then save it.
If you down load it and dont do anything further, it will stay with the e mail until you delete it, or it falls off your mailbox list.  If you want or need to save it permanatly, you need to specifically save it.

  • The option to upload pictures and videos to you tube has disappeared in i photo 9 How do I get it back so I can share to you tube

I use to click on share then you tube but
the option to upload pictures and videos to you tube has diappeared in i photo 9
How do I get it back so I can share to you tube

I do not believe that iPhoto has ever supported youtube uploads - the iPhone does - you may have found a third party plug in to do that - if so it would have been in the export  options not the share options

  • How do I save pictures and videos taken on my i-phone to my pc or backup storage device?

Hello, I am trying to save my pictures and videos that I have taken on my i-phone to my computer or some sort of backup device.  I am afraid in case my i-phone is lost or broken that I will have no permanent record of precious family footage.  What about saving these to a jump drive or disc as well. Thanks for your help.

You can connect your iPhone to your computer and a Autoplay dialogue box will pop up, select 'import pictures and videos'.  Follow the prompts and this will transfer your pictures and videos to your computer.
Alternatively, if your iPhone is updated with IOS 5, you can activate iCloud account on your iPhone, turn on 'Photo Stream', then install iCloud control panel onto your computer and sign in with your iCloud account and turn on photo stream.

" I want to come back all my previous ipad applications and gamesand wantto know about all the list of built in applications. Please solve myissue."  Regards i waiting your reply

As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes accouns as your originally used to buy/download them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
In terms of the built-in apps, they are all covered in the manual (plus iBooks which is a free download) : http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad

  • Does the ipad preserve full resolution and exif data on imported photos?

If I import photos to my IPad2 using the 'camera connection kit',
    a) How do I transfer those photos to my windows computer ?
    b) Does the IPad2 preserve the full resolution and EXIF data etc of the photo ?
Thanks in advance for your answers !

There is help in this article (but basically your computer should see the iPad as a camera and should appear in windows explorer if there are non-synced photos i.e. taken with the iPad, transferred via CCK, or saved from emails/websites etc) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
And, yes, the full photo and it's info is stored/copied i.e. they are the same as on the memory card.

  • I have an iPod touch, and an update was suggested for my iPod. After the update, all my pictures and videos were wiped. I need some of those pictures for a science lab due in a few days. Is ther any possible way for me to get my pictures back?

Help! I just lost all my pictures by doing an update and I NEED them for school. How do I get them back?!

    - If they are in an iPod backup then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:
    iOS: How to back up
    - If they are in the iTunes backup then get them from the backup by:
Recover iPhone, iPad or iPod photos from backups with Picturescue
    - If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
    - If they were synced to the iPod then you have to get then from where they were synced from.

  • HT4060 Does the Ipad charge with 110 and 220 volts

Can I use both 220V and 110V to charge the Ipad 2, I am in Europe, and need to charge my Ipad, will it charge using 220 which is what is available in Europe?
    Thanks

    Thanks,
Another question I have is. I have a DELL ELitebook 8530W and when I try to charge my IPAD with the USB Port, it does not charge which I read in the help section that it because it is not a strong enough USB Port. I would think this laptop would have a strong enough USB port.
    Any Suggestions!

  • HT202786 where do the iCloud photo sharing pictures and video store?

like does it take up storage from my iphone as if they were saved there?

Yes, shared photo sharing takes up storage on your device.  It's a bit less than if the photos/videos were taken on your device as shared albums are "device optimized" and are typically lower resolution than the originals in the camera roll.

  • Does the iPad have external speakers, and can you also plug headphones into

I've been thinking about getting an iPad. I was wondering if it had any sort of external speakers (or like the iPhone, doesn't, but still can project sound)? And also if you can plug a regular headphone jack into it. It seems like it would be pretty thin (I've never used an iPad) so it seems kind of like regular headphones wouldn't be able to plug into it.

The iPad has left and right sound channels..
    iPad User Guide:
    Chapter 16 page 114
Mono Audio combines the sound of the left and right channels into a mono signal played on both sides. This lets users with hearing impairment in one ear hear the entire sound signal with the other ear.
*_Turn Mono on or off:_* In Settings, choose General > Accessibility, then tap the Mono Audio button.
Stereo available ~ maybe combined for the speaker no idea. I always use headphones or good speakers.

  • Does the ipad backup save files within an app?

I have lots of pdf files within adobe reader on my iPad. Now, if I do a backup of my iPad on my PC...
Are these files saved on my PC?
Are these files accessible from my PC in case i lose my iPad?
In case I lose my iPad and restore it to a new iPad will my files be restored along with the apps (e.g. pdf files within adobe)?

App data is contained in an iPad backup.
There are some PC programs which can extract data from an unencrypted iPad backup file if necessary.
App data will be restored to a new iPad.

  • Updated iPad2 to iOS 6 and lost all pictures and videos

I updated my roomate's iPad 2 days ago, following the instructions of a friend with years of Apple experience.
He explained that I would need to install iTunes on my laptop (a newer Asus running Win7) and that just plugging the iPad in would start an automatic process of backing up and updating.
Being from the PC world, I wanted to make sure we would be safe. I asked if I needed to copy pictures to my laptop or pc first, and he said that iTunes defaults to backing up first, then running the update.
Of course this makes sense, but erring on caution, I was very specific in wanting to make absolutely sure.
So I get the laptop ready. I plug in the iPad, it's immediately discovered and a window pops up saying there is an update for the iPad, and would I like to update now.
I pressed the button yes, or ok, I don't remember exactly what the vernacular was.
The lengthy process began.... with a status bar and activity..... took about 20 minutes.
After it was done, it said so. I don't remember the dialog box wording at that point exactly.
I pushed the home button on the iPad and it had the normal grey lock screen, opened it, and all of her apps were there, her email showed she had email,
but when i looked in the pictures folder, it was empty.
Thought perhaps they would appear later from iTunes. ( I didn't know at this point that she had never backed up or used iTunes for anything other than the initial activation and for her old iPhone that died several months ago)
Called my Apple friend, he said maybe I unplugged the iPad before it was able to restore things to the iPad.
So I started iTunes, attached the iPad , right clicked on "Tiffany's ipad" and went into the Backup section. There it says that the iPad was never backed up on this computer in bold text. And the option to restore from backup is grayed out.
I call my expert friend again. He has me look for backup files on the laptop, utilizing an application called 'iExplore'. went to 'device' section and there is a box that will show all backup files found on the pc. That box was empty.
What's tragic, is, this poor lady, unbeknownst to me, had been using her iPad as a picture and video dump for ALL of her child's pictures and vids for over a year. Without telling me. She is not a technical person.
Had I known this, I would have backed it up manually myself, before the update and all along. I would have made her do it. But I had no idea. I assumed she was plugging it in to her Dell Laptop.. but she never did.
I've run 2 'recovery' programs I got from online that scan for deleted files, but they don't show any of the hundreds of pictures and videos she had, Im sure because it was wiped, not deleted.
All attempts to locate a large backup file on my laptop have come up empty.
She is extremely and unbelievably broken up about this, as am I. I'm furious with Apple for not making the BACKUP stage of the process more tenacious, and with more pop up warnings so that this kind of thing cannot happen. Had I seen that, I would have used an application to MANUALLY copy her stuff.... even though at the time I had NO IDEA she was using her iPad as her ONLY repository for all of her precious media.
Folks, this is a life changing horror for her, and me. I love this woman's little boy as my own, and as a single mom, she was depending on me as a friend in this matter. If I cannot retrieve these images and vids, I fear she will never forgive me, as I'm the 'tech guy' who always has had the answers for everything in the past, and failed her on the most important tech issue in her life, her little boy's life in pictures.
Please, where can I send this iPad for forensic recovery of these images.
I've powered the iPad down until further notice to avoid writing additionally on the internal flash memory.
    Thanks,
    Lu Johnson

Doesn't sound like you have iCloud? If not, then no, you are out of luck....

  • Bloggie lost all pictures and video taken before new year.

Somehow, the bloggie lost all pictures and video I have taken before Jan 1, 2011. I know I did not delete any of pictures on this camera, but the crossover of the Jan 1, 2011 seems remove all old pictures. Why? It must be a software bug or something.
I bought my bloggie from HBC Canada, The Bay, in December, 2010.
    My Bloggie has 8GB memory.
Any idea? Do you have the same problem with your Sony Bloggie?

Check to see if you have the full space available on the bloggie - if they really are completely missing then there are many 3rd party file recovery programs out there, some free, that can be used to recover accidentally deleted or corrupted files. In this circumstance you also have to be very careful - to increase the likelihood of being able to recover the photos and video after they have been deleted don't save any new photos, files or data to your bloggie until you've made the recovery attempt.
