Does the iPad have any external storage accessories?

I have about 100GB worth of movies and TV shows (Downloaded from iTunes) and I was wondering if anyone has made an external storage accessory that I can sync to iTunes to add all these movies so I can take the iPad or iPhone and watch them when I don't have access to my computer for a while (Such as going on a trip). My iPad is 32GB and my iPhone is 16GB and it's simply not enough.

Not inherent in iOS, no. If your MDM application itself doesn't offer such a contact feature, you'll have to look for a third-party app that might work. I'm not aware of anything, but there could well be something among the millions of available apps that would give you the functionality you're looking for.

Actually, there is a small workaround.
It isn't the same as an audiobook, but it does the job.
Go to Settings>General>Accessubility>Voiceover>
I would suggest settkng the speed to slower cnsiderng you
are gong to read books.
Anyway turn voice oier on.
You'll have to double tap everything since Voiceover sais everything you tap once.
Anyway, once you're n the book, just tap the text and boom.
I use ths on websites where there are a kit of text,
You see, this feature is for those who are vision impaired or blind.

The iPad supports viewing of Word documents within applications but doesn't provide a separate app for it. For example, if you receive a Word doc in an e-mail you can open and read it.
There is no USB port on the iPad itself for transferring documents. You can sync various applications via the USB cable, and there are a couple that would support you using iTunes to transfer Word documents to the iPad and read them.
However, by far the easiest solution is the cloud one: DropBox. You install DropBox on your iPhone and then either install the DropBox application on a computer or upload files to it via a web browser. DropBox is cloud storage, and whatever you put in your DropBox appears on all your devices that are connected to it (and it can be accessed via web browser). Typically, you'd install DropBox on a computer and when you drag a file into the DropBox folder on your computer, it's accessible to your phone.
If you go this route, keep in mind that the default behavior of DropBox is to leave everything in the cloud. This might be a problem if you wander somewhere that has poor connectivity. For that reason, DropBox permits users to "star" files on their phone, which downloads the file and keeps a local copy on the phone for quick access.
You could drop Word documents into the DropBox folder on your Mac or PC and they'd appear in DropBox on your phone, where you can open and read them as you like.

i would ideally like to not use all my macbooks memory either and we have an xbox so all the streaming for like netflix we can do on this. I've been thinking about getting an iPad. I was wondering if it had any sort of external speakers (or like the iPhone, doesn't, but still can project sound)? And also if you can plug a regular headphone jack into it. It seems like it would be pretty thin (I've never used an iPad) so it seems kind of like regular headphones wouldn't be able to plug into it.

Mono Audio combines the sound of the left and right channels into a mono signal played on both sides. This lets users with hearing impairment in one ear hear the entire sound signal with the other ear.

Stereo available ~ maybe combined for the speaker no idea. I always use headphones or good speakers.

I'm getting my 1st laptop this week as I have always used desktops so I got no experience in laptops.I did hear that laptops can have some serious overheating problems.I like the g580(i5/nvidia model) but I don't know if it got overheating problems.Can anyone who own a g580 tell me if it got any overheating issues ? And if it does overheat,can you recommend me a different model (at the same price range of the g580)with less overheating problems ?

Welcome to the Forums.
The Lenovo G580 here in the lab reaches temps. between 55-65°C on full load in a 25°C room temperature. Pretty much ok if you'll just use the computer for office work and casual gaming.
If you require additional power, and you're leaning to the G-Series, you may want to check the G500 / G505 models.

Disk Utility enables you to either verify (check) permissions or repair permissions. You can search around for an explanation of permissions. This is done while booted up normally.
Disk Utility also enables you to either verify or repair your hard disk (basically the file structure). This is done after booting up from the OS X install CD/DVD.
There is also a way to run a hardware check on your Mac. This is done with either a separate disc or with your Mac install disc depending on which Mac you have.
None of this has to be done on a regular basis.
There is one more thing. Mac OS X has some maintenance tasks that run in the background periodically, usually in the wee hours of the morning. See this article:

Is there a USB port on ipad2?

The CCK ONLY sees photo and video files. (it works quite well with SD cards, so-so with cameras - there have been different brands that work better than others) It can also pull the files off USB flash sticks, but with limited success. I've had a 2 gig stick that does work, one that doesn't.
It seems to depend on whether or not the stick has big LED or preinstalled software like the sandisk or kingston do)

You need an app such as Pages (compatible with MSWord) or Documents to Go etc.
Search for these in the Apps Store and read all about them. They are cut done versions of the full thing.

I use my iPad for presentations at conferences and in class. Is there a way to temporarily disable notification banners without having to change the settings for each indivdual app?

The Notification Manager has a 'sleep' setting that tells it not to notify you about anything. Look in the Settings panel for it.

Does PLX file have any compiled code

What exactly is a plx file. I created a plx file giving the COMPILE_ALL option as
NO. I saved the plx and the pll in the libraries directory .
When i run my form i can see the changes. Does the plx have any code or is it just
a referece to the pll file.

the point with the security is a good point. I appended it in my blog:
our projects are normally applications for customers and never standard-software. So we have no problem with security. The application server with the deployed forms and libraries is secured as strong as the database, so that only admins have access.

Other developer say: plx is only the compiled code, so nobody can steal my sourcecode or something valuable from within the code - in that case try this example:
Create a library with a package and this variable:

Generate the plx and open it in an editor. Search for "HiddenPW". You'll find the name of the variable and the string associated to the var. That's not save in my eyes. Only the sourcecode is hidden. I think, that a pll on an Application Server is secure enough.
If the application is standard software and is not for free, then you can use the plx-technique :-)
