Does the iPad support flash player yet?

Does the iPad support flash player yet?

As has been said here many times now, Adobe has ceased development on all versions of their mobile Flash player, and since the chances are vanishingly small that Apple will ever develop their own, iOS devices will probably never natively support Flash content or apps. If Flash capability is criticial to your needs, you'll probably want to choose another device, though even Android and Windows phone and tablet devices are less and less capable of Flash support.

  • Does Toshiba 32L3433DG supports Flash player to watch videos

    Hi all,
I'm interested in buying Toshiba 32L3433DG led tv, a really good smart TV, but searching on internet I couldn't find these information, I hope you can help me:
Does the open browser of *Toshiba 32L3433DG* supports *Adobe Flash Player* for online videos?
If yes is it possible *upgrade* Flash Player to the latest versions?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi
This Smart TV supports Open Browser and other TV apps like HbbTV which allows you to use the different smart services.
The Open Browser dont support flash player but it supports the HTML5 video and audio codecs which allows you to explore the web the way you want to.

  • Why doesn't the iPad have flash player

I really like to play Facebook games they need flash player so is apple planning on getting it or not if they are when will we be able to use it.

Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices - something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so you could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Some Facebook games have their own app version in the store. The Photon browser (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photon-flash-web-browser-app/id430200224?mt=8) says :
Photon Browser allows you to play Flash games such as free Facebook games, use Flash apps, listen to music streamed via Flash player and watch Flash video.
If you use the search facility on the right-hand side of this page you will see hundreds of other threads about flash.

  • Does the iPad support Function keys natively, not through another program?

I have my Operations department which needs to access a couple of customer databases through the web using a java applet. I do not want them to have to come to the office so we got them a netbook, but I was hoping that the iPad would be a better solution and quicker as well.
But it needs Function keys, anyone know?
    Regards,
    D.Lehman

The iPad does not support Java, so the issue of functions keys would be moot. The only way to run Java would be to use the iPad to take control of a computer, and whether function keys in that scenario would work would depend on the remote-control solution used.
    Regards.

  • Does the ipad support adobe digital editions?

I would like to publish my book as a digital edition for iPad. However, the book is a PDF which comes out beautifully on Adobe Digital Editions, and I can not find any information about whether ADE is compatible with the iPad or iPhone. This leads me to believe it isn't. Kindle does not support PDF, either. Can't ADE just be downloaded to iPad or iPhone and then just used to when a book is purchased in a PDF?
Any info. will be greatly appreciate.

No, there isn't anything on the ipad that can display these files and I'm not aware that adobe has given any indication that there will be. There are many other pdf readers, but they can't open ADE files.

  • Does the iPad support a mouse?

I have an iPad2.  I would like to use a mouse in conjunction with the iPad2.  Are there any good solutions?

    WTM,
Philly_Phan is correct, even if a little abrupt.
The iPad iOS is "touch screen."  There is nothing for a mouse to move -- there is no cursor.
(Yes, there is/are "insertion points" in search fields and other places where you start typing, but they function different than what a mouse can do.)
Some bluetooth keyboards (apparently, I am told, I haven't checked this out myself) can use the arrow keys to move to an insertion point.
It would seem to me that some users with some physical disabilities could use a mouse better than a finger...maybe Apple will allow the technology in some limited fashion.

  • Does the latest iPad have flash Player built in?

Does the latest iPad support Flash Player? Is it built in?

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:
      1. Puffin
      2. SkyFire
      3. Photon Flash
      4. Browse2Go
      5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
Download the Facebook app from the iTunes Store. Sign in with your Facebook ID and Password and you won't require flash to play videos.

  • Why does the iPad not support flash player? I would like to watch programming from att uverse but cannot because of this restriction

Why does the iPad not support flash player? I would like to watch programming from att uverse but cannot because of this restriction

Because NOTHING that is iOS supports Flash. Never has never will.
The only possible option is to try the Skyfire browser from the App store. It is an internet browser that converts flash to HTML 5 so that you can attempt to view it on iOS devices.
I have never tried it so I can tell you if it is any good, but it has gotten decent reviews.

  • Does the ipad 2 support flash driver ??

Hi am wondering does the ipad 2 support flash driver ??? i purchased an adapter for that purpose
if yes so how can i use it ? i mean how can i view my music ,photo and else in my flash driver via ipad 2 ?

Any discussion of jailbreaking an iPad on this forum is against forum rules.  If you want to take the chance of bricking your iPad and negating your warranty with Apple, that's your choice.  But you're on own and won't get ANY support from us users who would never think of jailbreaking our devices.

When I want to play a video, it asks me to download the latest Adobe Flash player, and the iPad won't do that.

The iPad doesn't and never will support the Flash program. You will need to download and install a different browser like the aforementioned Skyfire. Photon and Puffin are also mentioned as browsers that support Flash. Or see if the place you're accessing that video from has an app.

  • Can I download the stand-alone Flash Player that does not need a browser? I have ver 11.5 r502 that I d/l last year; would like a newer release.

Can I download the stand-alone Flash Player that does not need a browser? I have ver 11.5 r502 that I d/l last year (11 Feb 2013); would like a newer release.
Can't find much about the standalone viewer, except in the Flash Builder docs, which says a .swf can specify to use it. I can't find a download link.
    Thanks, Doug

You can download the standalone player (Projector) from https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you need to make the .swf file association manually.
