Does the latest cFP product offering support web services like the cRIO?

I'm wondering if the cFP family supports web services like cRIO.  I used cFP with LV8.5 a few years ago and there was no support.

Hello,
Yes you can. The process for running a web service from a cFP RT controller is the same for a cRIO.  The procedure is documented in the article Running a Web Service from a Real-Time Target.  Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Does BPEL Server have support "Web Services Transactions specifications"?

The Web Services Transactions specifications define mechanisms for transactional interoperability between Web services domains and provide a means to compose transactional qualities of service into Web services applications.
Have anyone can explain oracle process manager have any support about "Web Services Transactions specifications" ?
or oracle BPEL process manager how to coordinate the actions of distributed applications. Such coordination protocols are used to support a number of applications, including those that need to reach consistent agreement on the outcome of distributed activities.
appreciate any idea for this issue, thanks a lot.

You have a number of options.  You can use the built in Screen Sharing application, you can purchase Apple Remote Desktop for each user, you could look at 3rd party tools like GoToMyPC or if you are looking to replace Terminal Services look at AquaConnect.
The tool you use will be determined by what the users have at home.  If they are also using Macs, they can use all the native tools.  If they are on PC, they can use either a VNC client or many of the 3rd paty tools.

  • Support Web Service structures

    Hi,
A half year ago I got the following answer on a OSS message! The question was due to the missing support of Web Dynpro for a Web Service structure. The answer was this:
<i>Currently we do not support this feature.
A new Web Service Model implementation is planned to be released.
As design for this implementation is currently ongoing it is not
possible to make a final statement about the WSDL and XML schema
    constructs which will be supported.</i>
My question is. Does anyone know more about this new implementation. When will it be released? Which schema constructs are supported? Any information is welcome.
    Thanks

  • Does ws adapter only work with asynchronous web service?

    Hi all,
can you please confirm whether or not ws adapter (PI 7.1) only works with asynchronous web service?
I have created an async. outbound service interface in PI 7.1, generated the client proxy in ECC, created an web service based on the proxy, wrote a test program to call the web service (PI scenario uses ws adapter in the sender CC). Everything works fine.
Then I did the same thing with sync. outbound service interface. I got exception while calling the web service in ECC.
I've heard that ws adapter is designed for async. communication. Does it mean that it won't work with sync. web service?
I haven't seen any official SAP document saying taht ws adapter only works for async. web service. If you have any, can you please share it?
    Thanks
    Jayson

Thank you all for your information.
The error I got when calling the proxy with logical port (web service) is:
SOAP:1,007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 404  : Not Found")
I will debug it to see what exactly happens. And will keep you guys updated.
Just debugged, the error is because the http header's content type is text/html while it should be test/xml. However this type is set by the ws runtime, not by the application. Anybody has an idea about this?

  • Help - developing a web-based application and supporting web service

I am in need of creating a web service that provides some reusable components, and then creating a web application that is also a client of the web service. Is it ok to put both on the same application server? Can anyone give me a timeframe for how long it takes to create a web service + web application from scratch? I'm sorry if the questions sounds dumb, I am a newbie to this and am just trying to learn as I go. Thank you for any help!

In answer to your first question, yes. You can have both your web service and web application on the same application server. This is a normal development scenario for lots of applications. As far as a timeframe on how long it takes to create a web service + web application from scratch that depends on the complexity of both the web service and application you are writing. A simple web service and application written by an experienced web services developer could be written in a day. A more complex application could take weeks/months.
    Hope this helps!

  • Does the cRIO Scan Engine Support Offset and Shunt Calibration on the 9237 module

    Thanks.

    Sachsm,
The documentation for the Set Shunt Calibration (Scan Interface).vi should have been in the VI help but it looks like it didn't make it so I'll make sure it gets updated.  I'll double check my understanding tomorrow morning but the documentation should be the following for the inputs of this VI:
slot -  Specifies the chassis slot of the strain module (9237, 9235, 9236 ). Valid values are 1 through N, where N is the number of slots in the chassis.
channel - Specifies the channel to be affected.  Valid values are 0-N where N is the channel for shunt calibration.
value - Turns Shunt calibration on or off. Valid values are 0 or 1 where a value of 1 will turn shunt calibration on for the given slot and channel.
Now, for your orginal question about offsets on the AI inputs, here are my addtional thoughts:
Unlike our SCXI products, the NI 9237 does not have an internal hardware nulling circuitry because its input range is sufficiently wide so that the inputs will not saturate even with a very large initial bridge offset.  Since the 9237 does not have any hardware nulling circuitry, you have to perform offset nulling with software compenstation, and save the value to use later in the application as you mentioned.  For example, when an offset null is performed in DAQmx, the entire offset is stored in the Initial Bridge Voltage property and is stored in software.  You should see the same offset if you used the module from DAQmx, FPGA Interface, or in the Scan Interface.  With that being said, I believe what your seeing is really just the resting measurement of the module and transducer together and you should be able to zero out your measurement by performing Software Compensation.
Regarding, Offset Calibration, I think its important to make clear exactly what it is providing as the name is a little misleading.  The Offset Cal feature of the 9237 is really more like an Auto Zero used for eliminating offsets generated by an amplifier stage and doesn't provide the same behavior as offset nulling. In Auto Zero Mode, the 9237 shorts the input channel to ground and subtracts the obtained measurement from all subsequent samples. Performing an auto zero is a quick calibration technique that takes place at the beginning of a scan.  A typical use of the Offset calibration feature would be to set it true at the begining of acquiring data and then leaving it on indefinitely.
Personally, I do not bother enabling offset cal in my FPGA applications because the measurement of the sensor at rest takes into account all sensor and module offsets.
And finally, if your looking for some information on how to perform shunt calibration, I like to refer to the example VI located here:
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\examples\CompactRIO\Module Specific\NI 9235\NI 9235 Getting Started
As it has walks through the programming steps of setting up Shunt cal and applying the Gain Factors.  Its written for LabVIEW FPGA but it should be easy to use with Scan Interface.
Hope that helps a little bit,
Let me know if you have questions and I'll help where I can or bug the right engineer.

  • Does the cRIO scan engine support TEDS

I have a cRIO chassis with 9237 bridge amplifier modules and would like to use the TED feature of my transducers.  I know the module itself supports TEDS but is this functionality incorporated into
    the new scan engine?
    Thanks

    Hi Sachsm,
Currently, there is no support for TEDs with the CompactRIO Scan Interface.  However, you should be able to write an application that will allow you to get to your desired TEDs information by compiling two biftfiles, one that communicates to the modules using the TEDs interface that is supported with the LabVIEW FPGA Host interface functions, and another that then just communicates to Modules through the Scan Interface.
After the TEDs information was read from the first bitfile, then you could use this information to calibrate the data used for the sensor.
Let me know if you would like me to explain a little bit further or if you think the solution would work for you.
    Thanks,

  • Does any recent version of Firefox support a tool like MimeEdit on version 2?

I have an internal web page with links to various files I am working on. MimeEdit on Firefox 2 enables me to customize that browser so that clicking on a link to one of my files causes it to appear in my text editor of choice. Does any later version of Firefox have a tool that does this?

No. I have never seen a similar add-on for Firefox 3 or later.
The closest might be - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-in-browser/

  • Does web service support all the properties in the standalone BI console?

    Hi,
Currently I am using BI web service API to get the report and its parameters and so on. But I find that the object definition in the web service can't be full defined to match the properties in the console UI. For exaple, ReportDefinition object there is no description property, so I can't get the desc by the ReportDefinition object (By now I don't know how to get it). Another sample is, there is no Parameter object defined in the web service, only ParamNameValue object, so I can't get the default value for the parameter defined in the console UI.
Is there any solution for me?
    HELP!!!

It is just not working for me. I am using static stub.
After tracking the HTTP traffic, I found that the WL70 server is not issuing any
cookie. I have configured all the parameters for tracking session in the web application,
but I still don't see any cookie in the HTTP headers from the server. I also tried
to invoke the service using a browser, still no cookie seen. Is this a bug or
there is some other configuration for the server?

  • Does Websphere(WAS) V3.5 has support for web services ??

    Hi all,
Please let me know whether Websphere Application Server V3.5 supports Web Services. If any one has used it for V3.5 then please let me know.
    Thanks
    -Satyendra

I suppose not, as out of the box.
If you look into the classpath and the lib directories, there are no traces of any support for Web-Services.
However, you can set up the environment to do so, It seems to be easy to handle.
Cheers, and keep posting your progress.

  • Which Web Service message formats are supported?

    Hi,
From the documentation it looks like only SOAP binding 1.1 is supported but nothing is mentioned about the supported message formats, e.g. Document literal (wrapped/bare), rpc-encoded, rpc-literal. etc. Does anybody know which are supported?
    Regards Pete

    Hi,
I opened a SR on Metalink and got this answer:
ApEx supports only RPC/literal style. The current support for Web services was designed to work with RPC style Web services nearly three years ago. We (
ApEx development/product management) are reviewing enhancement to more broadly support Web services and hope to have that support in a future release.
For the current support of Web services in Oracle Application Express, a design decision was made to support only WSDL’s that use the W3C XML Schema specification as it
is data type system. Just converting a Web service to RPC style is not all that is required to make it work properly with Application Express. It also must use the XML Schema specification as its data type system and prefix those type references, with the same prefix as the XML Schema reference in the definitions declaration in the WSDL.
Oracle Application Express expects type declarations to be fully qualified with the same prefix of the reference to the XML Schema specification as in the WSDL’s definitions declaration (http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema). If the WSDL contains type references that are not qualified with the prefix of the XML Schema specification, then editing the WSDL to include these type references with the corresponding prefix will allow Oracle Application Express to properly parse the WSDL.
Support for more loosely defined types is planned for a future release of Oracle Application Express.
    Regards Pete

works. Suppose I use the java Proxy of a WebSerice in a client application whatever
whithin or outside the application of the web service, does the proxy actually:
    1. translate my java arguments objects in XML to create SOAP msg,
    2. then send the msg across the network, and web service also response SOAP msg,
    3. then proxy translate it into return value of the method call ?
If that is true , the Java Proxy seems very inefficient, right?
