When I attempt to scan wirelessly, it presents and error message asking if the scanner is turned off, or I need to have a USB connection to the laptop.

Wireless scanning is supported, however, it appears you are using the wrong version of MP Navigator EX. The version that is appropriate for your device is MP Navigator EX VER. 5.1.0. This application can be downloaded from our website.
On this site, be sure you have the most up to date drivers as well. Once setup, try the scan again using the correct version of MP Navigator.

SB1983, by extended display do you mean mirror? All MBP since early 2011 support it if they are running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. The resolution will depend on your Apple TV (2 Gen is 720 and 3rd Gen 1080) and wifi, it will lose some quality but I find it minimal. It does also mirror the sound.

You can use various screen mirroring apps to wirelessly display things on the phone.
Otherwise, use Airplay or some other screen sharing method to display things on the HDTV -

After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.

You mean that no "business oriented" person listents to music or plays games? Most "business oriented" persons also have a life.

I have an existing wireless network. It is from a Dlink wireless-n router, which shares my internet connection. I cannot connect to it using ethernet. It doesn't support WDS.
If I use an Airport Extreme with dual bands, can I do all of the following:
1) Use the 2.4Ghz radio to connect to the Dlink wireless network using wireless-n.
2) Use the 5Ghz radio to create a new wireless network using wireless-n.
3) Have all of my MacBooks (using wireless-n 5ghz) connect to the 5Ghz network

I have enabled homesharing in iTunes (from the advanced menu) and then used the same details when enabling homesharing on the Apple TV (settings > computers), but I still can't stream my itunes to ATV. Does anyone have suggestions to resolve?

My iphone 4 is in DFU mode. However I still want the photos on the phone so I cant use the itune recover option. Does anyone know of a work around
actually its not in DFU which is suppose to be a black screen. When it powers on there is an image of Itunes logo and the usb cord. What happened is I did an update before I backed up my photos the phone worked great after the update no issues till it powered off. When I turned it on again it had those two icons and was forcing me to sync with Itunes to system default which will wipe out my media.
Have you heard of any data recovery services -
I cant seem to scan from my hp photosmart 7520 printer to my iMac but can scan using the iMac? Photosmart cant see the iMac. Mac is wired to the router printer over wi fi.

As you are so good I do have another problem. I have another 2 pc's on the network that show on the iMac but iMac cannot conect to. One is XP and the other is Vista both with Norton fire wall installed.

just got photoshop cc 2014 on windows 8.1 64 bit, and it starts up on the white layout and and whenever I start a project it is in a window? Also whenever I try to change on of these it does not save. I am using the trial. Basically nothing saves and it was all screwed up when I first got it.
Do a screen screen capture and post it here so we can see what you stating about a white layout...

I think that you need to be patient.
There has not been any release of Camera Raw since the release of the camera.
I recommend to try the next version once it will be released, as there might be preliminary support (and therefore not listed).
Usually, Adobe is amongs the firsts to support a new camera.
Even though the Camera Raw team is fielded with wonderful coders, I do not think that they do have a time machine to allow support before they have their hands on a camera -
I have used Image Capture to scan images/documents and then saved them as either PDFs or PNG files. For some reason, just this past week, Image Capture will no longer save the file. It scans, and the Scan Results window pops up, but it won't save file.
The file name has no special character in it, just letters and no spaces.
I have done this in the past and it has worked, but now it will not.
I have not upgraded any software, that I am aware of.
After scanning, the Image Capture pops up the Scan Results with the file name in the window, but neither the Scan Results nor the Image Capture window responds to inputs. The Image Capture window is frozen, with only the "Overview" and "Cancel" buttons active (but non-responsive).
Is this a software issue or a scanner hardware issue? I am using a HP Photosmart C6200 series printer/scanner on a network using a Time Capsule airport.

Got a 90% fix. Apparently the Mavericks preferences won't work with Yosemite, so I just deleted the Image Capture preferences.
Unfortunately, the "Scan to" folder seems to be permanently set to the Pictures folder.
1. Quit Image Capture
2. Go to Finder > Go > Home, which opens up your home folder (named after your user name)
3. Open Library > Preferences > com.apple.ImageCapture.plist - Drag this file to the Trash
4. Start "Image Capture", click "Details" and change all your settings as you prefer
5. Quit and restart "Image Capture". Notice it remembers all your settings except "Scan to" folder. It insists on saving to "Pictures".
That's as far as I was successful. I tried changing the "Scan to" folder to "Desktop", but on launch, Image Capture always sets it back to "Pictures".
This is what I tried:
6. Download and install "Pref Setter" from http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html
7. Quit "Image Capture". Right-click on "com.apple.ImageCapture.plist" and open with Pref Setter.
8. Search for "Pictures", which finds "~/Pictures" (the tilde character at the start means your home directory).
9. Double-click on "~/Pictures" and change it to the folder you prefer. I like "~/Desktop"
10. Choose File > Save then Quit from Pref Setter. Note that re-opening the plist file still shows "~/Desktop"
11. Start up "Image Capture" -- on startup, "Image Capture" sets "Scan to" folder to "Pictures"
I consider this a bug. -
