Does the new iPad air 2 get hotter than the previous iPads?

I Have noticed that the new iPad Air 2 seems to be warmer than my 4th. Generation ipad. It is not so hot that I can't hold it, but I definitely notice a difference from the air 2 & the 4th. Generation iPad.

Does my new iPad 2 have icloud?

If you are running iOS 5 on the iPad you can use iCloud. Go to Settings and see if there is an iCloud setting. If there is - then you can activate iCloud in that setting.
If you don't see that setting, you are not running iOS 5. You can update to iOS 5 in iTunes. You must be running iTunes 10.5 in order to download and install iOS 5.
If your iPad is brand new and you purchased it from Apple, it should have iOS 5 preinstalled.

Does my new Ipad and Ipod need antivirus protection?

well, it depends on how you define a virus, theorically, ios is not prone to viruses, and since ios has built-in security measures (link bellow) theres nothing to fear
and also-since there are more windows users (in theory) than ios users (and again the security) it will be way easier to target windows OS then IOS

  • Does all new macbook air come with OS X Mountain Lion?

does all new macbook air come with OS X Mountain Lion? if so, where can i find it? cause if i'm right, i remember saw a mountain lion logo on someones desktop. also, if i have it on my mac, why do I find it in the apple store saying that I need to purchase it for $19.99?

All new MacBooks Air come with OS X Mountain Lion, as it's the only supported version in Mid 2013 MacBooks Air. Mid 2012 MacBooks Air come with Lion or Mountain Lion, depending on when they were manufactured.

The Mid 2013 MacBook Air uses a special OS X Mountain Lion version which is different than the version available at the Mac App Store. That's the reason why you see the price at the Mac App Store, but you already have Mountain Lion. If you try to purchase Mountain Lion, the App Store will tell you that it's not compatible with your MacBook Air. To reinstall Mac OS X, you have to use OS X Recovery > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718

  • Does the iPad Air get hotter than previous iPads?

I find the iPad Air gets a lot hotter than previous iPads.  Does anyone else find this?

If the iPad is getting excessively hot, you should take it in for evaluation and service.

  • TS3899 My old iPad let me have 1000 emails, why does my new iPad Air only allow 200?  How do I change this?

I want the 1K emails I could have on my iPad 2. Can't figure out how to do this on my new Air.

I had an iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1.  In the Mail, Contacts, Calendars selection and within it a Mail section.  Within the Mail section i could choose to show anywhere from 50 - 1!000 messages.  In my new iPad Air with iOS 7.1 i have no such option and it seems to max out at 240 meassages.
I have 1,209 earhlink emails on my old iPad dating back to Novemeber, on my new iPad i have 250 going back through March.
Is ther a setting i can chane to got the others?   Do they live in the cloud somewhere and i just dont know how to use it?
Thank you for you reply and your hekp.

  • Why does my new iPad air throw me out of apps

As above it is is annoying

How did you setup the new iPad ?
Did you restore a backup of a different device to this new iPad ?
I've mentioned in this forum before that I have low expectations of this approach.
I recommend setting up a new iPad by simply logging in with your existing Apple ID.
      Then enable cloud sharing
        selectively on both devices
until stuff transfers to the new iPad.

  • New Macbook Air Trouble Getting Printer Drivers.

Long time Mac user and moving to a new Macbook Air from a Macbook Pro.  Cannot get the printer drivers downloaded from the App Store and keep getting the following message:
"Can't download the software for the EPSON WorkForce 840 because of a network problem."
My assumption was our local area network has a problem and did the full monte re: Airport Utility, signal strength, etc. to no avail.
Older MacBook Pro is printing fine to the printer.  Any ideas for what I may be overlooking?  I then downloaded the Epson software from the Epson site. Changed my security preferences so as to be able to install it, did the "installation" via the installer and cannot find it on the computer.  Can find the original download, but cannot find the installed file anywhere on the Macbook Air.  Strange.
    Suggestions?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Does a new ipad 4 retina have a screen protector fitted from factory please...

does anyone know if a new ipad 4 has a screen protector fitted from factory please....

Apple does not sell their devices with screen protectors preinstalled. If you want a precise fit, you may try a third party that can place the screen protector on for you.

  • Does my new IPAD have internet protection hardware

I don't see Norton's etc. on my IPAD. Is my new IPAD protected from internet spyware while connected to internet?

There is a user guide in Safari. It is in the bookmarks of Safari. You can also download the user guide in book form - free - in the iBookstore. I like the book version the best of all three user guides - the pdf referenced above - the Safari bookmark and the iBook version that I am describing.

  • Does my new macbook air come with ilife (SandyBridge i7)?

Just bought a new mac and was wondering if my new macbook air come with ilife (SandyBridge i7)?
No CD's in the box... Do I just download it from the Appstore?
I thought it would at least come with the Air I just bought...
    Thanks in advance...

According to Apple, your new MBA should include iLife: iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand. The user guide says they should be on the system.  Systems that come with Lion no longer include OS X DVD's.

  • MacBook Pro late 2008 gets hotter than usual with 10.6.4?

    Hi all
So my computer usually gets hot even just idling, and the fans start revving up from just watching a few SD vids in quicktime, but now after this update my computer gets even hotter.
Playing standard definition videos would just get to a little over 70˚C ish but now it's about 81˚C. I have to use SMC fan control and set the RPM to max (6k RPM) in order to bring temps back down to 69-70˚C. It seems with every update the temps go up, but this one is the most dramatic. I'm using the integrated graphics chip instead of the dedicated chip. I could only imagine how hot this thing would get if I were using that beast >.<
If I can't stop the temps from going up, I'm gonna have to sell this comp, as much as I'd hate to do... Living in Phoenix AZ, a machine in your lap that gets over 178˚F isn't exactly ideal :P
Does the macbook air get as hot as the MBP? I don't have any use for the dedicated GPU anymore.
I have a late 2008 MBP if it helps any.
Hope someone comes up with a solution

You don't have to underclock your MBP to achieve acceptable temps. Just move away from Arizona's hot summer climate or get an air conditioner for your workspace. Pay attention to the maximum ambient air temperature spec for the MBP (95°F), and minimize the use of it at air temps close to that, because 95° air doesn't absorb heat as efficiently as your MBP expects it to. Get the MBP off your lap, where it shouldn't be, so air can circulate freely across the bottom of its case. Keep it out of the sun at all times. Turn off BlueTooth and Wifi when you aren't using them. Disconnect peripherals you're not using. Quit apps you're not using. Check Activity Monitor to see whether you have any hidden processes using lots of CPU cycles and raising the machine's temperature unnecessarily. Never rest the MBP on any soft surface, particularly when it's playing videos, gaming, or doing any other processor-intensive task.
I have a late-2008 MBP like yours, and its CPU temperature very rarely exceeds 145°F, because I pay attention to the common-sense practices listed above.

  • Difference between New Macbook Air Intel i5 1,3GHz and previous i5 1,8GHz ??

    Hi everybody,
I'm just asking myself about the processor of the new Mcbook air :
Both of them have the same processor Intel Core i5 bicore, but the new one is 1,3GHz whereas the previous version of Mcbook Air was 1,8GHz for the first model.
Does it means that new Mcbook Air has "worse" caracteristics ??
thank you for your answer !

The newest MBA have the new Haswell microprocessor architecture, a substantially faster solution.

  • Why does My new iPad air keep shutting down?

    BN

IIs your iPad actually shutting down (powering off and needed a restart) or is it crashing to the home screen?

  • Does my new iPad not have the capability to run adobe?

    Will ipad2 run adobe?

Adobe what? Adobe software runs on computers, not iPads.
No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
