Does the new ipod nano fit into the apple docking station the same as the former ipod nano?

I have an apple docking station and I know that the ipod nano is thinner but other than eprhaps being a little wobbly does it fit into the same socket as the original ipod nano?
Thanks

You need the lightning-to-30-pin adapter. Get it from an apple store.

Why doesn't the camera kit I bought fit into my iPad dock?

Maybe you purchased the wrong item.
iPads that have the 25 pin connector use the original Camera Connection Kit. That kit has two parts and adapter to allow you to insert SD cards and a second adapter to connect a USB cord from your camera. Here's a link to that kit:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A/apple-ipad-camera-connection-kit?fno de=3a
Newer iPads have the Lightning connector. You have two choices for those iPads. If you want to read SD card purchase a Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader.

Or you can connect your iPad directly to your camera with a Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.

I just received the 3rd generation and my wall charger does not charge. If I use my Sony docking station it does.  I can't carry my docking station! Please help!!

Did you get a charger with the iPad 3?
Could be the charger or cable. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. The warranty does not cover accedental damage like a broken screen.  However, some time the Genius at the Genius Bar of an Apple store will replace the iPod at not cost.  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and ask. If not under warranty, Apple will exchange yours for:

  • Why does the form flicker?

Using fillable/saveable forms saved from http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/formspubs/t1gnrl/on-eng.html and then opened in Adobe Reader X.
Several forms are open. All documents are maximized. A variety of scales (page fit, width fit, other) were used.
All of the content entered into the form disappears for several seconds, appears for a few seconds, repeats this pattern.
In programmer-speak, this looks like a page refresh. Only the entered data disappears, not the static form.
    What's going on here?

What is your Reader X version?  If less than 10.1.12, update to that version.  (I can see from your other topic that you are on Vista.)

  • Why does the form link show up in 2 pages, but when I save the form as PDF it comes up as 3 pages?

A few weeks ago, I asked the above question on why the form link shows up in 2 pages, but when the form is saved as PDF it comes up as 3 pages.
The answer I received was that I can simply select the page break and hit "delete" button or click on the trash can icon at the top right corner.
I tried to do this but, there is NO OPTION to select the page break and hit delete….
I want to combine the page on my PDF because the header takes up one entire page.
How can I do this? Can someone please help or walk me through this live?

    Wenlam,

  • Does the forms developed in LiveCycle Designer ES -2 support i-pad ?

    Hello All,
I have to develop a form which has 4-5 pages. The form should support Windows as well as i-pad also. Could anybody throw some light on my query or suggest some link ? I have never worked in Mac OS. So I am a bit skeptical.
    Thanks.
    Bibhu.

    Hi,
LiveCycle forms do not work on Apple's iOS devices (iPhone or iPad). See http://assurehsc.ie/blog/index.php/2010/05/xfa-forms-in-iphone-and-ipad/
A static form will open, but the user cannot interact with it. A dynamic XML form just will not open.
Forms worked perfectly on a Mac, provided the user opens the form in Adobe Reader and NOT the preinstalled viewer Apple Preview. Several threads on Apple Preview on this forum.

  • How does the Forms Installer detect the platform?

The Forms Installer is detecting our Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 system as "redhat-Red" and failing the prerequisite check on some systems.
Specifically, the installer is from ofm_frmrpts_linux_11.1.2.1.0_64_disk1_1of1.zip.
Other folks on Red Hat EL 6.3 systems show that the installer detects the system as "redhat-6".
Where is the installer getting the platform information? I have ruled out the following sources:
    /etc/*release (redhat-release, system-release, system-release-cpe)
    `uname -a`
    `uname -r`
    `lsb_release`
    `cat /proc/version`
All of the above sources yield identical strings on systems that are detected as redhat-Red versus systems detected as redhat-6.
Is it a Java function? If so, where is it getting the information? Is it a parsing bug between Java 7 update 09 and Java 7 update 13?
I already know how to skip the prerequisite checks in the installer, but this also skips the automatic package verification, which we want to keep.
I've also resorted to editing the Disk1/stage/prereq/linux64/refhost.xml to manually change one of the approved platform versions from "6" to "Red" to fool the installer, but this seems like treating the symptoms when we'd prefer to treat the source of the problem.

I think that rather than attempting to hack the installation, it might be a good idea to work with Oracle Support to fix the problem. It could be that this is an installer bug that needs to be corrected. Further, because this really isn't a "Forms" question, you might get better feedback if you post your question in the "Appication Server" area.
    https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=193
If you decide to contact Support, I would recommend that you do it under Application Server, if that is an option. It is the AS Support team that generally handles installation issues.
If you want to force the installation, you may be able to override the acceptable list of platforms. Take a look at the environment variable SELECTED_PLATFORMS. This is an OUI variable that may help. I haven't been able to find much documentation on it, but it might be worth investigating

  • HT1386 I have had to have a new hard drive fitted to my Apple Mac and now I can't sync my music with my iPhone, it thinks it's a new computer. Please help, What do I do?

I have had to have a new hard drive fitted and now I cannot sync my Iphone with my Apple Mac, thinks it's a new computer. Any ideas Please?

I keep this as a copy and paste. It's the same process for Mac as it is for a PC. Read it over and see what you think. Post back if you have questions.
The following was copied from this thread. This is essentially what you want to accomplish.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/11527071#11527071
    1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
    2) Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
    3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
    4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
    5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
    6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
Read this thread and the support links as well. There are apps that you can purchase that will allow you to transfer photos from the iPad to your PC. Look at Photo Transfer App in the App store and you can search for others as well.

  • Ipod not working on Apple docking station

I can turn on the ipod when it is on the docking station but no sound comes out. I am getting a message on the docking station that says AUX. The ipod will say now playing, I've checked the volume but still no sound coming out of the docking station.
Also when I turn on the radio it will come on and play the station that is selected. But then it automatically goes to another station without me touching it.
    Any thoughts?

if it is on AUX, then that means that the aux port is where the music should be coming from. look on the dock for a port labeled AUX. you may need to buy a cable to hook the ipod from the headphone jack to the AUX port.
