Does the new nano support gapless playback?

I listen to A LOT of trance/progressive stuff (Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, John O'Callaghan etc). Usually these albums are mixed, requiring gapless playback. Does the new nano support this?? VERY important to me that it does, otherwise would have to skip buying one and stick to my iPod 5G & iPod touch. I do like the new wearable design though...

Gapless playback and crossfade playback are 2 different things - buy a mix album and try playing it using crossfade playback - I'll let you figure out the difference (yes, really!).
Anyway, I've bought 2 (silver and red) and yes, they do support gapless playback.

Does the new nano fit in the bose dock?  If so, how?
The white plug at the bottom of the nano doesn't seem removeable.

The new Nano has the smaller Lightning connector instead of the dock connector.  Apple has two adapters to connect the new connector to old docking accessories.
This one is just an adapter, but may be awkward for use with a dock accessory.

This one serves the same purpose, but has a short cable between the two connectors.

  • Does the new IPAD3 support the 3G in Egypt?

does the new IPAD3 support the 3G in Egypt?

The New iPad supports 3G world-wide wherever there is a local provider of iPad data plans and iPad micro sim cards. Read the specifications. http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
So the question really is, are there 3G providers in Egypt who support the iPad?

iWork apps like Pages can usually display Arabic correctly but have various bugs that probably make them unsuitable for this language for most purposes.

  • Does the Iphone 3G support music playback via a bluetooth headset?

    Hi All,
Does the Iphine 3g support music playback via a bluetooth headset at all, I suspect not...

It's been on many a user's requested feature list since the first iPhone, and people were disappointed when it didn't show up on the 3G. The adaptor he links to will get the job done.
I have to admit I've demoed a couple of bluetooth stereo headsets, and the music sounded awful. Perhaps it's improved, but for this reason it's not a feature I've personally wished was included.

Does the New iPad support SIRI as iPhone 4s?
I saw mic icon on left side of space is look like siri feature but i don't know how to setting.
    anyone can help for this?

That would not be Siri, that would be dictation. When you want to say something rather than type it, tap that button and say want you want. All of your words will be changed into text. It's very similar to dragon dictation. Siri currently is just an iPhone 4s thing.

  • Which resolution does the new macmini support?

Which resolution does the 2012 mac mini support? Would it be able to power the old 30"Cinema HD display, which has 2560 x 1600 pixels as an optimum resolution?

Apple seem to have had a brain seizure regarding making this information available. If you look at the KB article for the mid 2011 Mac mini model as here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP632
it does show the required information. If you look at the equivalent article for the late 2012 Mac mini model as shown here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP659
it does not show the resultions. I would say that the answer is the same, that is the new model supports the same resolutions. What has changed is how many displays it can simultaneously drive (now only 2).
So the answer to your question would be
Thunderbolt port with support for up to 2560-by-1600 resolution
HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution
Note: If you are using a DVI display with a higher than 1920x1200 resolution, you need to use a Mini Displayport to DVI adaptor, furthermore as before the higher resolution monitors like the 30" Cinema Display need a dual-link DVI adaptor.

  • Does the new nano have a captions option?

I see that iTunes 7.4 now has a closed captions option under the "View" menu. Are the captions supported by the new nano? (I know it is a tiny screen but I have perfect vision and terrible hearing.)

It looks like it may only output captioning when you display on the TV. In the iPod nano feature guide it lists the captioning only under the "Watching Videos on a TV Connected to iPod nano." and then under the TV setup it lists "To set: Captions to display Do this: Set Captions to On."
By the way, the iPod nano guide is available online. I downloaded it last night. The file/download was named: "iPodnano_(3rd_gen)_FeaturesGuide.pdf" and here is the link:

  • What does the new Nano do at the end of a podcast?

My wife has a 1G Nano that she listens to podcasts on while she runs. It has the annoying behavior of stopping playback when a podcast finishes, instead of going on to the next podcast. Some of her podcasts are only 5 minutes long, so this means she has to fiddle with it every 5 minutes or so to get the next podcast playing.
Can someone with a new Nano please tell me what happens if you have several episodes of a podcast on it and you start playback? Does it still stop after the end of each episode or does it go onto the next one? Does it do the same if it's in shuffle mode?
We tried to work around it by creating a smart playlist containing only podcasts, but I think this model has something wrong with it. Sometimes podcasts don't show up in the playlist, and sometimes podcasts show up in the playlist but not in the Podcast menu, and the syncing gets all messed up.
    Thanks!

    Hi Jeff,
First I am not sure if your wife has multiple episodes of the same podcast she wants to listen to or if she has many short individual podcasts. Please note that below my suggestions differ depending upon which situation fits her problem.
I do not have a 1G Nano but I do have an older iPod Mini which I suspect behaves in the same way as your wife's older Nano. I, too, was frustrated in having podcasts play one at a time. I have a couple of podcasts that have daily episodes and each of those episodes used to stop at the end and I had to select the next one to listen to it. This was frustrating because I usually build up a week's worth before getting around to listening to them. Then, by accident I stumbled upon a solution for the Mini. The podcasts also showed up under albums (and artists too) so I set my iPod to play the complete album, selected the podcast I wanted to listen to and was able to listen to all the episodes in that particular podcast. On rare occasion the order of the episodes might get out of chronological order.
If your wife has multiple individual podcasts then she might want to try setting up a playlist with all the individual podcasts she wants to listen to and go with that. Experiment with the playlist idea and the shuffling options of the iPod to get multiple podcasts to play uninterrupted.
I must admit that since I got the Touch for my birthday this winter I don't use the mini as much and am a bit rusty with all the settings of that iPod. My Touch will play through all unlistened to episodes of a particular podcast but will still stop at the end of each different podcast. I have not had the need to do anything drastic on the Touch since most of my individual podcasts are 1 to 2 hours long which is ample time for me to get in a good, long walk!
Hope this helps you and your wife with her 1G Nano.
    Sue
