Does the new U2 30G gets the new brighter screen and search feature? If I buy it on-line from the Apple Store, will I always get the latest version or is there a chance I may get some old inventory? Please share your experience. Thanks.

I have a U3011, and my MBP retina 15inch
(10.8.2) only sends YPbPr space to the display via miniDP to DP cable instead of RGB. If I change the settings to RGB, the color is all funny looking. For all professional purposes this is useless. Nobody from Apple or Dell is willing fix this.
U3011 only uses HDMI 1.3, so you won't get the full resolution. I also have used a mini-DP to dual-DVI adaptor. It gets RGB from MBP, the text is all garbled for anything above 1600x1000 .
I am at my wits end.

First, if you haven't updated to iTunes 10.5, please update now as you will need it for the iPhone 4S and iOS 5.
Once you're done installing iTunes 10.5, open it. Connect your iPhone to iTunes using the USB cable. Once your iPhone pops up right click on it. For example: an iPhone will appear and it will say "Ryan's iPhone."
Right click on it and select "Backup" from the dropdown menu. It will start backing up. This should backup your notes.
Please tell me if you have any problems with backing up.
Once you backup and get your iPhone 4S, you must follow these steps. If you don't follow these steps, you will not be able to get your notes on your new iPhone 4S.
Open up iTunes again then right click on your device (iPhone 4S). Once you do you will see a dropdown menu. It will say "Restore from Backup..." Select this and it'll ask for a backup, select it from the dropdown menu. For example "Ryan's iPhone - October 12, 2011." Pick that and it will restore to your backup. Do this when you get your iPhone 4S so you will not lose anything. Even though you're restoring, you're getting back, since you're getting the previous settings, notes, contacts, mail and other settings from your old iPhone. You'll still have Siri though! So, restore when you first get it. Also frequently backup your device, as it will be worth it. You can restore from a backup if something goes wrong or save your data for a future update.
Once you do that, you should have your notes on your new iPhone 4S and iOS 5.

Did you ever fix this problem? The same thing happened when I just changed my kids passwords and now can't access their mail on their iPods or my iPad but I use the same email provider and mine is fine however I did not change my password. If you fixed it how did you?

Well, I spoke too soon. Yes, I'm using the same account on both iPads, but I just changed my password for the umpteenth time and now I get the disabled message on both iPads. Just to say I am having exactly the same issue on my MacBook Air. I can't remember what I did but after this happened a few times, and once I had clicked on the Japanese pop up, I managed to do something that now means I get the pop up in English, saying 'Adobe Reader blocked for this website'. When I click on it it asks me to trust the content and then I get a bar with the text in Japanese. Eventually the pdf does open. However it's very irritating that I have to trust every pdf individually which I never had to do before the latest upgrade, and I don't understand why I get messages in Japanese. I will be interested to see whatever answers other more technical people may provide!

Mac OS X does not offer a Clean install option. If by clean install you mean erasing the system, that is not recommended unless:
1. You bought a used/refurbished Mac and there is software on it without any accompanying discs, and it is older than July 20, 2011 in model release:

Or if it is at or newer, then erase it if it has applications installed that would not have been prebundled with it and you have no CDs for those applications.
You don't want someone else's software keys, or accounts, or to be running unlicensed software. At and newer Macs offer a built-in internet restore for their software with a command-R boot that lets you erase the system with Disk Utility, and then install from the internet the latest operating system.
2. You have a hardware issue and want to eliminate possible software issues as the cause when troubleshooting a problem all at once.
Issues affecting a new install have to be isolated before you attempt it. Unless you know it is software or hardware, erasing may only mask other problems.

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
1. Delete old Library file
2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension - 'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

No, all purchases made with an Apple ID remain with that Apple ID and cannot be accessed using the other Apple ID.
I know this is a pain but that's the way it is. As far as anyone knows individual accounts will always be "active", but they cannot be merged.

If i order it on The first day of pre orders will i get it on the same day as the release in stores? I'm on an unlimited data plan with AT&T. I had that too. On the bottom right of the AVG search page is a link which leads you to where you can switch it off. This restores normal Speed Dial operation.
This hijacking has really cheesed me off. I've just downloaded Avast and am going to put it on in place of AVG.

Because you are running lion.. FCS 6 is a Power PC app and Lion doesn't support Power PC anymore.. So you can't install it.. Three options..
1. Revert back to Snow Leopard.
2. Purchase FCP X...
if you can't stand FCP X
3. Call apple directly, 1800-MYAPPLE and ask to purachse FCS 3 for $999... (its FCP 7)
I just got FCS 3 today through apple phone sales..
