Does the payment processing fee cover the previous...

Quick question with my ongoing argument about the payment processing fees. Does this charge cover the previous three months or the next three months? IE My charge was dated 18th October when my bill was generated, so does this cover October - January, or is this to cover the period of July - September. If it's the latter then the £5.40 needs refunding because it's covering the three months when I was still paying the direct debit, this was only cancelled a couple of days before the bill was generated, after BT had received all three direct debits for that billing period. It just says 18th October, but it's on the bill for July - October so I'm wondering if it's backdated as Craig told me in an email this morning it's automated, in which case it needs refunding from the bill.

  • British Telecom Payment Processing Fee and the Con...

    On April 6th, 2013 the government introduced the Consumer Rights (Payment Surcharges) Regulations 2012. Item 4 of the act states:
    “A trader must not charge consumers, in respect of the use of a given means of payment, fees that exceed the cost borne by the trader for the use of that means.”
    Irrespective of this British Telecom still insist on charging its customers a £6 “Payment Processing Fee” per quarter (£24 per year) for the privilege of paying their bill on time and in full by any other means than Direct Debit.

    It's interesting that. When our Government voted for the new regulations they voted on exactly that - the regulations - they didn't vote on the Guidance.
    Yes, but the guidance is essentially a plain English description of the Regulations. It's Regulation 5(2)(k)&(l); as you need the full story, here goes:
    An excluded contract is a contract—
    (a)for social services, including social housing, childcare and support of families and persons permanently or temporarily in need, including long-term care;
    (b)for health services provided, whether or not via healthcare facilities, by health professionals to patients to assess, maintain or restore their state of health, including the prescription, dispensation and provision of medicinal products and medical devices (and “health professionals” has the meaning given by Article 3(f) of Directive 2011/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare)(4);
    (c)for gambling within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2005(5) (which includes gaming, betting and participating in a lottery);
    (d)for services of a banking, credit, insurance, personal pension, investment or payment nature;
    (e)for the creation of immovable property or of rights in immovable property;
    (f)for rental of accommodation for residential purposes;
    (g)for the construction of new buildings, or the construction of substantially new buildings by the conversion of existing buildings;
    (h)which falls within the scope of Directive 2008/122/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of consumers in respect of certain aspects of timeshare, long–term holiday product, resale and exchange contracts(6);
    (i)for the supply of foodstuffs, beverages or other goods intended for current consumption in the household, and which are supplied by a trader on frequent and regular rounds to the consumer’s home, residence or workplace;
    (j)concluded by means of automatic vending machines or automated commercial premises;
    (k)concluded with a telecommunications operator through a public telephone for the use of the telephone;
    (l)concluded for the use of one single connection, by telephone, internet or fax, established by a consumer;
    (m)under which goods are sold by way of execution or otherwise by authority of law.

  • Does the Previous Folders 1.1.1 add-on no longer work for newer Firefox versions?

    I asked this question once before (eight months ago) but never got an answer, and no one else seemed to be having the problem. I was accustomed to using this add-on, called Previous Folders:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/previous-folders/
    but ever since Firefox Version 22.0 (approximately eight months ago), it has no longer worked. Its function is to remember the last 20 locations that you have saved to, and keep them in the address bar drop-down list for easy access.
    I just re-installed Windows 7 (I was having some other problems), and I thought that perhaps it (the add-on) might work again after the re-installation... but it seems that it still does not. If anyone knows anything, or if anyone is also having this problem (it seems that very few people use this add-on or even know about it), any help would be appreciated.

    The '''maxVersion''' coded in the install.rdf file of that extension shows Firefox '''14.0'''. So there's a good chance that its not really compatible any longer, as Firefox 22 had changes to the Download Manager code.

  • Does the Previous Folders 1.1.1 add-on no longer work for Firefox 22.0 and up?

    It had worked fine for me until Firefox 22.0, I believe.

    Thanks for your prompt reply, John99. It is still available - it is here:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/previous-folders/
    Its function is to remember the last 20 locations that you have saved to, and keep them in the address bar drop-down list for easy access.
    I don't think I was prompted for my extensions. If it is necessary to know those in order to better address the question, I can list those as well.
    Thanks again.

  • Does the previous generation AppleTV support HBOGO?

    I have an opportunity to purchase a used AppleTV that is the older model, one generation below the newest. Anyone know if that will support HBOGo directly (not using mirroring) the way that the newer one does?
    Thanks.

    The Apple TV 2 will do everything the Apple TV 3 does except output 1080p.

  • Post incoming payment process open items error message

    Hello,
      When doing incoming payment process for open items one error message shows :"The difference is too large for clearing". It seems I have to input some amount in cash discount area.But actually the case discount amount is 0 in SO condition.
    Could you please help me on this issue?
    Thanks

    Hi ling zhang
    In F-28 you can clear the amount but you need to give the exact amount for that customer.
    The possible reason for getting that error while clearing is that customer must be having already some more open line items.
    Just go to FBL5N and check the open line items and the total amount of that payer and then go to F-28 and then clear the amount

  • Payment processing fees

    Can anyone tell me how BT can charge a "payment processing fee" when there is no payment due?  I queried this last month and was promised a refund by none other than one of these forum moderators. True to form, despite the promise being made in writing (email) no refund transpired and, what the **bleep**, they have done it again this month.  MY ACCOUNT IS IN CREDIT - (or would be if you kept your promise of refunds) - SO NO PAYMENT IS PROCESSED = NO FEE.  You owe me £3.00 on the next bill or shall I just take it to the Office of Fair Trading? Or one of those columns in the press, Which?  - or do you think I just won't check my bill?

    Hi frustration
    Stephanie is just about to send you an email which should clear this up for you.
    Thx

    Those are all fine
    Here is how to see RAM overloaded…
    Reboot to see the system in it's default state.
    Open TextEdit for the sake of it
    Open Activity Monitor & Terminal from /Applications/Utilities.
    Select the Memory tab
    In Terminal enter the following command
    memory_pressure -l critical
    # note that is a lowercase L
    RAM usage will climb, compression will begin the VM will become way more than the system has installed.
    Eventually the system will start swapping  (look for RED) - Watch the 'memory pressure' & 'Swap used' as this happens.
    Try switching to TextEdit - the system is still coping !
    Switch back to Terminal & hit ctrl+c to stop the process.
    Watch the VM & memory pressure return to normal levels.
    This OS kicks 4ss !
    Your problems may lie elsewhere

  • Does not complete processing of "Home" of the Creative Cloud desktop application

    Someone know the way to fix the following issue?
    After installed some Creative Cloud Software, I had uninstalled Adobe application manager manually and installed Creative Cloud desktop application manually.  because automatic upgrade of creative cloud desktop application from adobe application manager does not work.
    The creative cloud desktop application setup had been completed successfully.  but,  seems that  it does not complete processing of displaying the history if I chose "Home".   The progress Icon will stay in continuity.  And any contents does not show on it.
    Regards,

    I'm posting this in a few threads to try to catch everyone having the problem.
    The good news is that I found a way to fix this.
    The bad news is that it involves uninstalling everything.  (Note that reinstalling over the old installs won't cover it, I'd tried that one once too. You'll have to fully uninstall each program before redownloading/reinstalling.)
    I spent many hours with tech support yesterday running through options unsuccessfully, and can very thoroughly assure you that uninstalling the desktop app, renaming any number of folders, and new user accounts all will not help you.  From doing a lot of research on various similar problems, it appears that it's possible for this to spontaneously resolve within a couple of hours.  If it doesn't, though, you're stuck with fixing it yourself.
    The best theory I found was that it's caused by updating or installing a program without doing it through CC.  If you've downloaded an installer and run that or clicked "Check for updates" in the help menu inside one of the other apps, this is you.  Other people have noted that if you know which app you did this with, you can uninstall that one to fix it.  If you have no idea, the simplest path is to just uninstall everything.  You can try doing things one at a time, but you'll need to reboot every time the uninstaller tell you to do so and then see if it's fixed.  (Personally, I got sick of that by the second time through.)  I do remember clicking "Check for updates" right around the time this started for me, but I don't know which program it was in, just that I knew it would trigger the updates I knew existed but CC wasn't acknowledging.
    I will also note that once I had everything uninstalled, I ran the Cleaner Tool and did a "Clean All". If you're going to or need to do that, make sure you've backed up all of your preferences, customizations, plugins, and so forth as needed.

  • How does the sync process work?

    Hello all,
    I want to know what will happen if both the local and network homes have been modified for a period of two weeks and then the user chooses to synch? Will the sync process ask which 'home' is the most recent or will it replace older files with newer files?
    How does the sync process manage the task of keeping both sides the same?
    Thanks,
    -Andrew G

    If a file exists on both the local and the network directory it will pop up with a conflict and ask how to resolve it.
    If the file is only on the local machine and in a place you have not excluded from syncing it just syncs.
    If the file has been previously synced but there has been no change to the file since last sync I think it just rewrites the file to the server homedir... (Don't quote me on this one... it might not even bother with it, I'm not sure how smart the sync service is)
    You can set automatic conflict resolution within WGM but as far as I know you have to do it by clicking on preferences then switching to the details tab, then click on Home Sync....com.apple.homesync. Click on the Always drop down and click the add new key button then change the new key to either Login or Logout Non-Preference sync conflict resolution and or Background sync conflict resolution and decide if MobileHome or NetworkHome Wins...or copy. In most cases I would think that you would want the MobileHome to Win.. of course there is always potential for someone to make a huge mistake on a file and pray its still fine on the server but... your call.

  • B1 for the payment process?

    Hi Guys,
    we are planning to integrate B1 with the 3rd party web based systems and achecive the payment process.
    I am confused between B1, SDK, componennts and tools. All these come with B1 install or seperately.
    How to install B1? Do i need to download the software from the market place?
    any ideas or help would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi Suda,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
    we have recomended to dowload the SDK and i just tried to download and it has 90 day evaluation period and i think we are thinking about creating a transaction in B1.
    Once we download and install the SDK, Does it give the complete development environment for the integration?
    How to integrate with a 3rd part web based system?  Is it possible to integrate directly with out any middleware ?
    Is there any training available from SAP or is it better to learn by doing and SDN ?
    Thanks,
    Raj

  • Why does the snmpcoll process always start up even if SNMP Statistics Collection is turned off?

    Why does the snmpcoll process always start up even if SNMP
    Statistics Collection is turned off?
    <P>
    The SNMP Statistics Collection field on the Server Status|SNMP
    Subagent Configuration form affects only the SNMP subagent, which is a separate entity from
    the collector process (snmpcoll). Currently, snmpcoll does not look
    at the SNMP configuration data when it starts up. It is started by
    the dispatcher and terminates when the dispatcher terminates. Many
    of the statistics are supposed to reflect cumulative values recorded since MTA
    initialization, such as the total number of messages sent and received.
    As a convenience, the collector process collects information in the
    background even while the SNMP subagent is turned off; this way,
    the values are available when the SNMP subagent is configured and
    turned on.

    Collections fall off on the Date of First Deliquency 7-7.5 years later; that is supposed to be reported as the first time you went late (1-30 days) on the OC (original creditor) in the chain of events leading up to it's being farmed out for collection as I underestand it. DOFD though sometimes doesn't get reported right, and by default it will be the date the collection is added to the bureaus. As an example I have an awkward collection (not sure how I got it looking at the payment history thought I'd cancelled that account but TWC billing apparently didn't think so) which I went late on in 2009, but didn't get farmed out till late 2010.  The DOFD is 6/09 looking at it, and it's expected to come off according to the bureaus 6/16 as a result. Different negatives have their own rules though.
