Does the Professional Edition require an Apple Computer to Publish?

Does the Professional Edition require an Apple Computer to Publish like the Single Edition does? Are there other restrictions that I may not be aware of if I go the PC route?
I can' seem to find that information.

OK.... So, do you need to have an app built if you go with the Professional Edition? At first I thought yes, but now I am realizing that with the Professional Edition, don't you get set up in the Newstand Store... which does or does not need an app??? And then what about the Kindle Fire and Android platforms... Do I have to manage all of those relationships myself or is that part of the professional package...
Again... if there is particular literature I need to look at... Please point me there.

  • Does the professional edition offer sideloading viewers

I am sorry if this topic keeps repeating, I did go through past posts for the answer.
Does the Professional (Monthly/Annual) Edition offer Custom Branded Viewers with sideloading capibilities?
Or is it ONLY available for Enterprise Edition.
Thank you for any direction you can provide.

Both Pro and Enterprise customers can create dev apps with sideloading, but that feature is useful only if you're using the old Content Bundler.

SInce you list your "student number", you are probably using the student edition.
You cannot build standalone executables with the student edition.
You need LabVIEW professional. If you only have LabVIEW full, you need to purchase the application builder seperately.

  • How to back up the Windows side of your Apple computer

    Hello friends,
As I get more involved in the Windows side of my Apple computer (Macbook Pro Snow Leopartd with boot camp) I am wondering what is the proper way to back up the files I have on the Windows side to an external hard drive? I can obviously easily copy my documents, pictures and videos, but what about the contents of my copy of Microsoft Outlook (all my emails and all my contacts), the copy of iTunes I have on the Windows side and the list of "favorites" that I have in my Internet Explorer (again all of these programs are on the Windows side).
Is there a way to back them up so that if my Apple computer dies, and I get a new Apple again with boot camp and Windows, I can reinstall them on to the new computer and have them functioning just like before (the way one can with programs on the Macintosh side)?
    Your help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Good morning folks, Twonails, ScuseMe and Hatter—
    Several questions:
Good to hear about your experiences with  Winclone,  Paragon’s HDM 2011 Suite and Acronis True Image 2011.  Would you mind telling me what it is about these programs that have made them so useful to you?  I have looked at their websites online but would love to hear it described in plain words. For example, how do these programs differ from Windows 7’s built-in Backup and Restore and Create a System Image? Do they work better with Windows mounted on Boot Camp?
ScuseMe, when one encounters a problem like you did with the audio drivers,  couldn’t you have used system restore to roll the clock back to the point before you installed the drivers? Does system restore not always fix these kind of problems?
Finally, TwoNails, can you tell me what exactly you mean by “yes several drivers had to be updated but it still booted and functioned well”? By drivers do you mean the drivers that control printers and if so, how does one know whether they need updating after you do a reinstall?
Thank you all. Your patience is appreciated.

  • Does the LG Dare require a data plan?

I have an LG Dare that I would like to use on an existing plan. BUT I dont want to pay for data, so I was wondering since Verizon has changed so much with their plans, does the LG Dare require a data plan in order to use it on my plan? All I use the phone for is calls and unlimited texting, no internet. Why pay for something I will never use?
~ Note: My current phone is the LG EnV 2 (no data required on it)...which died completely on me. Hence why Im wanting to switch to my old phone LG Dare.~
    Thanks!

        @turtlegurl86,
We appreciate you bringing this to the attention of the forum. It is fantastic to see of your proactive nature.
The LG Dare does not require a data package. If you would like to add a data package. The current data option for the device is $10 / 75 MB.
I'm sure you will find this information beneficial. It was a great to hear from you.

i'm going to europe for 6 months my question does the voltage change can burn my computer...? what do i need to buy to ensure my macbook is safe and sound?

Read the small print on your power brick. It handles 110 - 240 volts automatically. All you need is a plug adapter to make your current wall plug fit the European wall sockets.

  • Does the Palm Centro require a data plan?

Does the Palm Centro require a data plan? I'm wanting to switch back to my Centro and I just want to make sure, before I purchase a new one, that I will not be required to pay the $29.99 a month like I do now with my Pixi. Can anyone give me a for sure, 100% positive answer on whether or not this is a discontinued phone and does not require the data plan with activation? Thank you so much!

That's exactly what I thought, but I kept finding in small subjects people saying it might require it. I thought, surely, they wouldn't. That just wouldn't be fair. Thank you so much for your answer. I really appreciate it.

  • What SIM card capacity does the new iPad require (64K or 128K)?

I brought a new iPad (4G+wifi) to my parents to replace their old laptop, I am trying to get them a micro-sim. Since they are not in Australia, I am not quite sure which capacity of sim card does the new iPad require (my one working pretty good with Optus). 64K is the most comment one in their country, therefore I am not sure which one should I purchase. If would be really greatful if anyone has an answer for that! Thanks in advance

The iPad comes with 16, 32, or 64 GB of storage. Perhaps that is what you are referring to. The sim card has no storage so amount of "K" is meaningless. Sim cards have the single purpose of connecting to your provider's network.
Perhaps you are referring to phone sim cards that can store contact numbers. I think these have 64K or 128K storage capacity on the sim card.

  • Do I really need the Professional Edition?

    Hello everyone!
We would like to publish an App for the store with multiple folios for free.
Right now I am using the Creative Cloud Single Edition which doesn't allow me to publish an app with multiple folios. I've read the discriptions for the different options (Professional/Enterprise) and it says that I have to update to Professional or Enterprise to be able to publish and sell apps in the appstore which include multiple folios. But my point is we don't want to sell the app. We just want create a magazine for free.
So do I really need the Professional version or higher?
    Cheers,
    Pascal

    Hi Patomo,
Creating multi folio apps requires a Pro or Enterprise license. It doesn't matter wheter your content is free or retail. Do keep in mind that creating multi folio apps requires you pay for the hosting fees. So there will be an additional cost based on your downloads. Talk to your DPS reseller for more info on the numbers.
Remember that you can only create one app with the Pro license (updating the app is included too) but the Enterprise level allows you to create as many apps as you like.
    Hope that helped.

  • Does the FoneHome app require WiFi on the lost device?

My iPod touch was recently stolen, and I was able to find its serial number. I now know that Apple can't help me track it down, but I saw an app called FoneHome that might help me - I could install it on the iPad to find the iPod. However, I don't know if the app requires WiFi to track it down (it probably does but I've decided to check anyway), because wherever the iPod is right now it's not connected to the internet. Also, does the iPod need to have the FoneHome app as well to be able to track it down?

The application is called Find My iPhone.  The iPod needs to have the free (for 4G iPods) version of MobileMe turned on on the iPod in advance of loss in order for it to work.  But in any case, you are correct that the iPod needs to be connected to a wi-fi source in order for it to be tracked, so it would not have been useful in your case even if you had turned on MobileMe.
