Does the traffic seem down?

Since the switch over it seems that less people are coming to these forums or at least less questions are getting asked. Has anyone else noticed this too?

9,000 what? Number of posts shown on the forum? I have that blocked for all users, so I'd have to take your word for it.
Who knows what those numbers represent anyway! During the aborted changeover a couple of years ago, it showed some 25,000 or some such insane number credit to my main account (Ramón G Castañeda) and another thousand or so under my variously mangled-name accounts (Ram?n G Casta?eda, Ramón G Castañeda, and Ram=?ISO-8859-1?B?8w==?=n G Casta=?ISO-8859-1?B?8Q==?=eda).
They should eliminate that onsensical running count as well as the silly point system.
EDIT: I bet you, dave milbut and Buko, as well as others, have a lot more than I do.

Yes, this is exactly what it does. However, it's a custom control, not a built-in control. JavaScript is used to set it up. In order to use it you have to have a data connection in the document and modify the "Initialize" script, which is were the list is populated from the DB. The "Initialize" code is a good example of how to use XFA JavaScript to access a DB. However, the code is also written in a very general manor and takes the long way around to hooking up to the DB. Much shorter code can be written for a specific DB.

What does the Traffic Setting under Location Services do in iOS 5?
Do I loose anything valuable by turning that function off on my 4S?

No mention of it in the User Manual and Mpas still shows the traffic fine with it switched off.
Even my TomTom can update Traffic with the setting switched off.

Copy and paste, does the process slow down if...?

What is the optimal way to copy and paste multiple tasks?
My question is: Does the copy/paste slow down if I have multiple copy/paste processes at the same time?
Or, should I wait until each is done to continue the next task?
I have about 3 hard drives I'm trying to copy and paste to and from each other. Each transfer can range between 30-300 gigabytes

You have to remember that copy and paste means that the OS must cache the data you're trying to copy, and this in turn means that it has to have enough free space to do so.
If your hard drive is almost full, OS X will have to move small files or file fragments around before it can cache chunks of the files you want to copy and paste somewhere. It has to cache them, in case you (or an exterior cause) interrupts the copying and pasting, so as not to damage the files.
Moving files is another matter, since the files don't actually change places, they're just indexed as being moved to a different folder or directory.
Bottom line is, the bigger the quantity of data you want to copy and paste, the more free space you need.

How does the traffic widget work?

Has anyone been able to get the traffic widget to work? I have it turned on in iOS8 and see nothing. Is there a set up I'm missing?

On my iPad it's tap the i in a circle in the lower right then tap show traffic. Traffic will be in dots.

Why does the Battery run down so fast?

Im a first time BB user And really need to know how long should the BB 8520 battery life last- I bought the phone 4 days ago And had to charge it twice since then.
I understand why the battery ran down the first 2 days- used the phone a lot to input data And load pictures, music..... But after the second charge I hardly used the phone( only received text message, phone calls ) I did no browsing, no facebook, no IM, didn't listen to music, didn't take any pictures, didn't receive any emails yet- my BIZ has not yet been activated.
This morning it was 100% And now its 70% - And as I said I only received And sent text messages (SMS) And phone calls
am I being silly And should I just expect that from BB.
And should I switch the phone off at night or just leave it in bed side mode?

I live in Brazil and i have a blackberry curve 8520, my problem is the battery.
I try shut off all conections (the wifi, bluetooth, including the moblie phone conection), with the keyboard locked and the phone in stand-by, but the battery dies before the 5 hours (run down very fast).

If you rub the edge of the fingerprint scanner in a circle, why does the screen drop down?

MY daughter was drawing circles around the metal part of the fingerprint scanner and noticed the screen contents moves to the bottom of the screen instead of the top. Then it goes back to the top when touched again. Why does it do this?

That is a feature of the 6 & 6 plus. I believe it is called reachability. It moves the furthest section of the screen down to allow for one handed use.

Does the HD "spin down" protection work with tilt as well as motion?

This is more out of curiosity than anything else; I'm not very technical.
So I was moving my (running) MBP onto my lap from the sofa by lifting the lapstand it was on. The corner of said lapstand got caught on a blanket, resulting in the computer tilting forward a lot more than it usually would.
This got me wondering: I know the HD has protection that parks the head if the computer moves too much. Does this include tilt as well? Or does that not have any relevance to the HD function (since obviously, for example, an iPod can function no matter how you have it placed)?

Well, I don't know what the spin down sounds like. Plus, I was reluctant to test it for myself just in case I was wrong and I did some harm to the computer.

No, that simply does not, or rather should not happen.
If the device is unresponsive, try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

If you have a 3G mobile hotspot, you will not connect at 4G speed to anything.
Wifi is faster than Edge/3G/4G.
Your iPad will connect with wifi to the mifi device.
However fast the mifi device connects to the internet is how fast it will be.

You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them.

When I select an option from the help drop down menu it just goes away. It does not go to the help option I chose.

On the iMac and MacBook open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Contacts, then reselect it then restart the Macs.
On the iPhone tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts off then back on then restart the iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
