Does the TRIAL VERSION of server 2012 essentials support the 'install for migration mode' ?

Hello,
I’m in the process of preparing a transition (migration if you like) from an SBS 2003 environment to a Server 2012 Essentials DC, and separate Exchange platform.
I started with this document http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj200112.aspx
I clearly states to Install Windows Server 2012 Essentials in migration mode
In order to transfer the DC role tot the new server.
I’m Using the 180 TRIAL VERSION of windows server 2012 Essentials to test if this will work. The thing is…. I did not get the question to install the server (or run it) in MIGRATION mode !!
Does the TRIAL VERSION enable you to utilize this migration mode or not ?

Install-WindowsFeature PowerShell command and check if help you to install Roles and Features on the Windows Server 2012 Essentials successfully.
In addition, Please follow the path: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS and check CBS log file if find more clues.

By the way, the error seems that mean there are some system files are missing, which caused the installation
failure. If it’s not a production environment, maybe consider that run
sfc /scannow command to scan all protected system files and monitor the result.
Please Note: since it’s a Windows Server 2012 Essentials, the web configuration file may become corrupted when you run the SFC command. For more details, please refer to following KB.

No, it's everything except the adobe photoshop.com space (if you're in the US).

Migrating from Server 2003 to Server 2012 Essentials or new install?

We have a small network having downsized some years ago. Currently we have two 2003 servers and 6 workstations. Originally we were running Exchange on one of the servers, but now Exchange is remotely hosted. I have a new server that will be
running Essentials. I want to replace both of the old servers and just have the one new server. I am thinking that with such a small network, it will be easier just setting up the new server in a new domain rather than migrating. Does this make sense? Any
pitfalls to be aware of?

How do I continue editing a project from the trial version of final cut pro to the paid version

I have been working on a project on the trial version of final cut pro x. I bought the full version even though my trial wasn't up yet. When I opened the paid version my projects from the trial are not in there. I also closed the trial and opening the paid version and my projects were still not there. How do I get my projects to show in the paid version?

I have a 'similar' problem, but your advice above does not work (or does not seem to work). My Trail version of Final Cut Pro 10.1.1 expired before I completed my first/only movie project.

Upgrading from Trial to registered version of Server 2012 Essentials

I believe my Trial ran out.
Arrived in the morning to see my server rebooting right after attempting to scan the registry. During the scan, it reads 0% and erorrs to “If you’d really like to know, it is a registry error”.
I’m able to restart in Safe Mode w/ Network and it appears that the entire domain tree is unresponsive. All data is intact and I’m able to get out to the internet.
Tried to use the repair feature from CD but it states that C: is locked.
Also unable to reinstall due to the drive being locked.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I noticed that you can restart the server in Safe Mode. Just a confirmation, please check if be able to run
the server in normal mode again? Then check if can convert the server to full version. Or tell us why be unable to access normal mode?

Windows Server 2012 Essentials - Implement Group Policy for the 1st time

This is my first server. We have 15 users and 20 devices, all clients are running Win7 Pro.
On the Dashboard, Devices tab, when I click on each device there is an option to implement Group Policy in the right-hand task pane. Does this mean I can implement it for one device at a time? Or will it happen for everyone in the domain?
I'm hesitant to start. Is this something where I should wait for the weekend, so I can restore from a backup if need be?

Time to get a basic Windows networking reference book and read up on group policy. Policies are applied by the system on a predicable refresh rate, which if memory servers is 15 minutes. This can be forced from the stations with the cli command "gpupdate
/force" but in most cases there is little need to do so.
Some, like folder redirection, only impact the stations on reboot/sign on

If you mean that you want to create PDF files, then yes, your version is capable of doing that.

If I create and publish content with the trial version of Captivate 8 will it (the content) expire?

I see this is the case with Captivate 6, content expires 30 days after publishing or something like that.
Does anyone know if they have kept this "feature" with Captivate 8?
