Does the Tucano sleeves fit the new MacBook Pro?

Does anyone know if the Tucano Second Skin Microfiber Folder sleeve fit the new MacBook Pro?

I know that Incase says that their sleeves fit (by stretching), but the Tucano one has the Anti Slip pouch which might make it harder to make it fit.

Speck Products makes excellent cases for us...

Migration Assistant (Finder > Applications > Utilities > Migration Assistant) is the tool that you would use to restore backups from older Macs to another Mac.
Details are here:   http://pondini.org/OSX/MigrateLion.html   The same info applies for Mavericks and Yosemite.   If you are saying that this is a "no go".....where are you getting stuck?  What error messages do you see?

  • HT1349 I can't get past the welcome screen for my new macbook pro. Help!!

Seriously. My new macbook pro will not let me progress past the welcome screen. It will not let me select australia (or any other) country as its host country!!!!

I just had the exact same problem. You must physically push down on the trackpad and get an audible "click" to activate the continue button on the language screen. The one-touch click function is not yet enabled on your Macbook because you haven't set it up yet. This should work for you. It did for me!

  • HT1338 does OS X come with a new Macbook Pro

I bought a new Macbook Pro, just wounderign do i have to buy OS X or, do it come free??

Depends on the date the Mac was built. At this point it should come with 10.8. However, if you boot it up and find it has 10.7 or something thereabouts you can apply for a free copy of Mountain Lion.

  • Why is the keyboard brightness of my new macbook pro retina is behaving in an opposite manner in low light

I racently bought a 13'' macbook pro with retina display (late 2013) and everything works fine with the exeption of the keyboard brightness. when I chose the adjust function in low light it suppose to increase the brightness of the keyboard during dim light, however, it's doing quite the opposite and the brightness is dicreasing making it harder to see the letters, how can I fix this problem?

Hi BobRz, you are probably talking about the screen display which normaly dims during low light conditions, and that's true. but my concern is the keyboard brightness, it suppose to increase in low light conditions, but instead it dims to the point that i can no longer see the letters on the keyboard. I have viewed a youtube video about the normal adustment function, and mine is doing the opposite

  • How do I change the registration name on a new Macbook Pro?

My daughter just got a Macbook Pro and had filled in the registration info with her name and address but my other daughter told her it had to me my name and changed it all and registered it under my name.  My daughter, of course, wants it under her name.  It said it couldn't be changed, but there is usually a way.

Some similar situations with solutions. I hope this helps and Happy Holiday.

  • How do I install The Sims 3 on my new macbook pro?

I jsut got my MacBook Pro and im still learning how to run everything but i cant figure out how to install my Sims 3 game. I put it in and it acts like it is going to bring up an installer window like my old Dell used to do but then it stops and nothing happens. Where do i need to go to download the game?

Go to the top menu bar where it says Finder (if it doesnt, click anywhere on your desktop and it should show up)
Click on "Finder" Go to "Preferences", then under the "General" tab where it sais "Show these items in the desktop" make sure the option "CDs, DVDs and Ipods" is checked.
Close that window and reinsert the game disc.
It should show up on your desktop, a CD icon, just click on that icon.

  • Will a MacBook Pro case from 2009 fit my new MacBook Pro?

So I just bought a new 13" MacBook Pro w/o retina display from Apple and there's a case I'm looking to buy for a 13" MacBook Pro w/o retina display, but the case was made in 2009. Are there any structural differences between the two? Can I still use this case?
Thanks for reading, please let me know!

That will fit the latest model. I stand corrected.

  • How do i change the safari settings on my new macbook pro to run in the 32 bit mode?

how do i change my safari settings on my new mac book pro to run in 32 bit mode please?

I am running Leopard OS in 64 bit mode. Everytime I want to run my Cisco VPN client I reboot it in 32 bit mode by holding the two keys (don't remember what two keys at the moment).  I am looking for another way to run my Cisco VPN.  I don't see the check box labeled "Open in 32-bit mode" .  The only thing I see is "Open in Rosetta" or something like that.  Is the check box "Open in 32-bit mode" only show in Lion X OS?

  • Moving the Hard Drive to a new Macbook Pro

I am going to be switching from a MId 2012  13.3"/2.5GhZ Core i5 to a Mid 2012  13.3"/2.9GhZ, Core i7. Can I just swap out the Hard Drives, assuming both Macbooks are on the latest version of Mountain Lion?
    Thank you

All you need is a 00 (double zero) phillips screwdriver. Done right means not screwing anything up like stressing the HDD cable when you are disconnecting or reconnecting it or buggering up anything else while you have the bottom off.
One tip. Do not disconnected the battery. Although some guides suggest that you do, it is not needed and can only cause problems if it isn't disconnected or reconnected properly.

  • The hard driven on my new macbook pro is divided into two sections and I don't know how to access the second half.

Under "about this mac" and "system report" my hard drive is described as 750gb with 4 sub categories 1-Macintosh HD 2-recovery hd 3-untitled 4-recovery hd.  I have almost filled the macintosh hd and am getting low memory warnings.  How do I access the second half of my hard drive?
    Thanks,
    Nate

I think I figured it out.  Of course as soon as I post something I figure it out.  Anyway, I went into disk utility and could see "untitled" but it was greyed out and not accessible.  I then clicked the "mount" button and now the disk is available in finder.  I'm not sure how it got unmounted but I am able to write to it and access it so I guess the problem is solved.

  • When I synch my iPod w. new MacBook Pro, laptop doesn't show which podcasts I've already listened to on the iPod.  (My old MacBook did do that.)

I used to download new podcasts to my old MacBook, plug in my iPod, click the Synch button, and not only did the new podcasts get copied from the laptop to the iPod, but iTunes on my laptop would show which podcasts I'd already listened to, so it was easy to delete the old stuff, synch again, and the old podcasts would be gone from both the laptop and the iPod.
When I try to do the same thing with my new MacBook Pro (which I set up using  the Migration Assistant to copy apps, including iTunes, from my old laptop), that doesn't happen:  When I download a new podcast, plug in my iPod, and hit Synch, the new podcast isn't copied, nor does iTunes show which podcasts I've listened to since the iPod was plugged in the last time.
What used to be quick and easy is now cumberson and, because it's hard to remember which podcasts I've listed to and which I havened, error-prone!
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Richard

The installer DMG will be in the Applications folder
I haven't tested this, but it seems somewhat at odds with this recent MacWorld article, which gives a method for "capturing" the Lion installer downloaded via the Recovery HD, and then creating a bootable installer volume from it.
Create a bootable Lion install drive for newer Macs
The article is meant for Macs that came pre-installed with Lion and therefore can't use the App store. The article describes a procedure to retrieve the Lion download not from /Applications but from a folder named "Mac OS X Install Data" which gets created at the root of the drive where Lion is to be installed. It's tricky, because normally that installer self-launches immediately after the download, and then deletes itself afterwards.
They distinguish this procedure from an earlier, simpler one that can be used if Lion gets downloaded via the App store - they reference an earlier article for that situation, which does involve retrieving the installer from /Applications. That method has been publicized in many places.
The inference for me was  that the Recovery HD does not download anything to /Applications - otherwise the earlier procedure would work, and this new article would be unnecessary.  As I said, thoiugh, I haven't tested anything.
