Does the USB Charger Have Known Proble

I'm thinking of buying the SE Zen Mirco, so it won't be coming with a wall charger.
does the usb charger have some known problems? what are its drawbacks (aside from more time to charge).

uuhhh let me think. Ah i know: You'll need a PC to charge your micro! which is very unconvenient when travelling. Tip: Buy the Zen Micro Premium Accesory Pack, which includes Wall Charger, Extra Battery, Sillicone Case, Neckstrap and the Creative EP-630 Earphones (which are amazing high quality )

I have just started using a windows7 64 bit machine which is an LG emachines model.  I have latest version of iTunes installed.  When I connect the usb charger it says I need digitally authorised drivers and won't recognise the iPod.  Does anyone know of a fix?

  • My one year warranty expired recently, a month ago my charger was replaced under warranty and it has only lasted a month and has broken again, does the replacement charger come with a new warranty or will i have to buy a new one?

Bought the phone on contract last January (late in january), had my charger replaced just after christmas and now it has stopped working again, its been about a month and a half and the replacement charger is broken, does the replacement charger come with a new warranty or will I have to buy a new charger? And if so, is there a charger that doesn't break easily (my problem is the the wire at the phone end of the cable seems to bunch and twist etc.)

No, the Ellipsis 8 does not support USB Host capability. Your best bet will be to use a Bluetooth keyboard.

    Hi,
    Try resetting your iPod:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430.
If that doesn't work, try restoring it:  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414.
If all else fails, you will have to place your iPod in Recovery Mode:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.
    Hope this helps!

What does the usb pointing to the itunes symble mean? its frozen on that screen, i plugged it in to itunes but its not doing anything

    Hello crysta33,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The screen with an iTunes logo and cord indicates the device is in recovery mode, and will need to be restored by using iTunes.  Take a look at the articles below for more information.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
    Take care,

  • How well does the Droid Charge do when dropped accidentally?

how well does the Droid Charge do when dropped accidentally? any screen or internal damages?
I'm probably going to have some kind of rubberized case.

Please consider getting an otterbox commuter case at least from amazon or otterbox.com
the defender series otterbox case with screen protector case isn't being shipped yet so i am using
the otterbox commuter case with verizon wireless store's 3pack of screen protectors - i do not like screen protectors but verizon sells the ones for the charge specifcally and it will
hold me over just fine until defender ships in august or september
either case helps to not accidentally press the power button easily while holding this droid Charge
    there's my advce
ps these add bulk to phone i like the commuter case it is way sturdy polycarbonate or whatever STRONG black plastic with port covers except for hdmi that already has a cover built into phone
the defender series will be bulkier

  • Does the USB port provide power in sleep mode?

Subject pretty much says it all... curious as to if the USB port will continue to provide power to a connected device even in sleep mode?
I can find some info on the G5 iMacs that say they did not, but can't find anything on the Intel iMacs.
Specifically, thinking of buying an iPod Nano and wondering if it will charge it while sleeping.

Regarding Apple's document, it is interesting to note:
    Your computer goes to sleep
Your computer can only charge iPod when it's turned on and not asleep. Make sure your computer on and is not set to go to sleep when you want to charge iPod.
Tip: Some Macintosh computers can charge iPod even though they're asleep. If your sleeping computer doesn't charge iPod, don't worry, just wake it and let iPod charge.
Apple doesn't specifiy which computers are capable of this however so I wouldn't bet on it.
Of note, the USB port must provide a very small amount of power not only, I would think, to allow the keyboard/mouse to wake the Mac but also to light the LEDs of my bus powered (not AC powered) Macally hub which remain constant as long the Mac is on (sleeping or not). That also applies to the USB charger that came with my Kensington Wireless keyboard (although I have not tried charging while in sleep mode). That being said, the power - no doubt - is minimal.

  • Does the wall charger for a 17" macbook pro work on my new Macbook Pro?

I searched for docs and specs but can't seem to come with anything. Does the wall charger for a 17" macbook pro work on my new Macbook Pro?

Well, obviously you have NO faith in me or you wouldn't ask.
Go to the Apple Store online. Search for laptop power products and look for Apple's replacement AC adaptors. One is the 60 watt model for MacBooks. The other is the 85 watt adaptor - now read this very carefully because it's in smaller, lighter print - which says for 15" and 17" MacBook Pros. Will you take Apple's word?

  • My computer keeps doing the usb sound and freezes

My computer keeps doing the usb plug and unplgu sound, and when it does, the computer freezes.  I have tried update all drivers, and run one-key recovery but nothing helps. The system event logs only show one error:
The embedded controller (EC) returned data when none was requested. The BIOS might be trying to access the EC without synchronizing with the operating system. This data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; however, you should check with your computer manufacturer for an upgraded BIOS.
I tried to update BIOS driver and found it was up to date.  Does anyone eles have the same problem? It is very frustrating expecially when you are in the middle of a game.  Please Help!

I understand what you mean about the sound now.  I was thinking of something else.  Sorry for the mis-understanding.
Are these errors showing up in the System Event Log happening repeatedly ?  If there is just one or two of the same error showing up during the session you are on the computer that maybe normal.  As the operating system is working it will occasionally hit a glitch that produces an error in the log, but later in the log you will find where the problem was resolved.  The Event Log is never error free. If an error is repeatedly recorded then it is a problem.
You can also look at your Reliability History which might indicate a problem.  Go into Control Panel then System Security then Action Center then click on Maintenance and then choose View Relibility History.
If your remembered when the problem started, did you trying doing a System Restore to a date prior to the problem starting ?
You mentioned One Key Recovery.  Did the recovery process not correct the problem or did One Key Recovery not work at all ?
Try booting the computer into Safe Mode and see if the problem is happening there.
Also try logging into the computer using another User account.  If no other accounts are available then create a new User account to try it.  If the other User account is problem free then suspect your original account has corruption.
On my Windows 7 system the sound event for connecting a device like a USB flash drive and disconnecting the flash drive sounds about the same.  Also the sound event for a device failing to connect will produce the same sound in my present sound scheme.  Try plugging in your keyboard and mouse several times to insure they have a good connection or even try plugging them into another USB port.
Also try another mouse and keyboard if you have them available.  Since you are a gamer chances are the mouse and keyboard are well used and might be failing.

  • Does the usb compatibility matter?

Can you use a controller that is usb PC compatible on mac? Does the usb compatibility matter?

Note, Macs with Classic operating system may require an entirely different game controller.
Here's one that works with the older operating systems:
    http://www.amazon.com/ISHOCK-GAMEPAD-IMAC-FORCE-FEEDBACK/dp/B000YL9A1A
Boot Camp is not available for Classic operating system capable machines.  We need to know are you running a pre-2006 Mac, and preferably a pre-2003 Mac if you are going to use game controllers on Mac OS 9 or earlier.  Many won't work in Classic environment but will work with Mac OS 9 booting.  pre-2003 Macs have Mac OS 9 booting.
Since you posted to the Classic environment forum, do you need access to Mac OS 9 games on a Mac OS 9 boot, or in the Classic environment?  If in neither, please tell us which version of Mac OS X you need, and for which Mac model.   Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to determine if it is G3, G4, G5, or Intel.

I just read that the USB cable CA-101 that comes with the N78 supports charging. Why isn't it charging? Should I configure something on the phone?

The iPad charger is dual voltage. You need only a plug adapter to be able to plug your US charger into a European wall outlet. A basic one costs about $2.00. - $6.00. Like this...

  • Does the Flashback malware have an effect on OS X systems without java installed?

Does the Flashback malware have an effect on OS X systems without java installed? Just asking since i do not have java installed...

It's not likely, but better safe than sorry. See
    Helpful Links Regarding Flashback Trojan
Visit Thomas Reed's site for insight and help: Mac Malware Guide
A Google search can reveal a variety of alternatives on how the remove the trojan should your computer get infected. This can get you started. However, be careful about what you do as new variants of the malware circumvent the efforts of earlier tools.
Also see Apple's article About Flashback malware.
Apple has released Java updates for Snow Leopard and Lion users:
Java for OS X Lion 2012-003; available only for users of Lion with Java installed.
Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 8; available only for users of Snow Leopard.
Flashback malware removal tool; available only for users of Lion without Java installed.
Install whichever shows up in Software Update. It removes the malware (if present), updates Java (if present) and tightens up Java settings for the future.  You may download from Apple's web site instead of using Software Update, but it's important to know which one to get, because the other two won't work for you.
